Love the original BM&R paint, with the light up where it belongs. Takes me back to 1987, getting ice cream at Schell's or DQ then riding or chasing the train up 61. In '92 we lived on Water St in Shoemakersville across the street from the line. We literally just finished moving out, my locked the door and we heard the CNJ whistle coming down from Five Locks and we stopped. They were taking it on a test run down to Temple after it was painted blue for the first time and it just popped against the overcast sky. It sucked that we were moving from that vantage point, but we were moving to Hamburg, right across the street from the business partner of the owner.
I had this song on a white tape cassette I bought at the Temple Station in the late 1980's, maybe summer 1986, my first time there. A blue switcher 413 was pulling an RDC. Then, in June 1987 I rode behind 425 from Temple to South Hamburg with my late grandmother on my late mom's side, and April 1988 2102 from South Hamburg and my uncle from Emmaus on my late father's side was there with his youngest son who was 2. He has two other sons born in the 70's. We didn't know my uncle was going to be there. He sat on the train with us with his son.
Man this song just wants to make me cry and sleep at the same time! However it is still kinda sad that RB&N 425 is going under a heavy overhual to keep it running. Im gonna miss her blue paint and yellow trimed wheels. and therefore I praise you on tributing this song to Reading Blue Mountain And Northern no.425
Sung by Charlie Adam's of WEEU Reading. He also sung The Reading Rides Again for that album. Shame you didn't loop it longer and include the early BM&R sounds of 425 with her long lost PRR whistle she carried back then. It was reportedly stolen from the F&F shop in Hamburg. Shame it was a beautiful whistle. Someone stole 425s tenders lamps too at Hamburg Yard. Bastards........
These are beautiful. Wish you made a irl model layout Bc you could do some amazing things. Also where do you find these songs? Anyways amazing work can’t wait to see more. Sincerely, Lok

Thanks!!! I don't really know how I found this song.
@@FiredUpTrains That's an odd answer because it's on RUclips....there's no way you didn't know how you found this song.
Who's Lok?
What model did you use for 425? It looks like SRC 90, but heavily modified.
It's a great locomotive
Do big train a comin
Mantap. Boss
Is that a Private Model of R&BN 425 ?, that is cool
Is this an actual mod? Or is it a modified engine.
The route is a mod and the 425 is a private model
@@thecapisoffyt the 425 is modified.
