If you ask me it’s just plain unfair that no New York central Hudsons or Niagaras were preserved all because of Alfred E Perlman’s anti preservation ambition. 275 and 27 respectively but all gone. Preservation doesn’t make railroads old. It shows how far railroading has come.

@@scottmcintosh4397 I assure you it's not. There are no chime chambers of the whistle's bell or what I would assume to be below the whistle's bell.
@ThunderboltSirenStudios Could that be deliberate for audio\visual effects? 🤔 I've seen this type of jet before on a few other steam locomotives as well. 🌌🔭
@@scottmcintosh4397 well, steam locomotives are very hard to maintain, and anything could fail or give out in the middle of operation. You have to account for the fact that parts are hard to find, as they're not made anymore, and you're not just going to empty all the steam out of the boiler just because a plug or seal on the whistle has gone out.

I Think after all what the rail preservation has been through the past 4 years i think its making a comeback some would say better then ever, i say it was just planned from the beginning. truth is so much has gotten done and so many cool project are getting done or been started and steam loco legends coming back too life with new railroads being formed. With all that said I'm proud to be someone apart of that and to be able too tell my grandkids in the future that yup i lived through these awesome times.
