  • Three generations of sloth family members hanging out together at Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, Rhode Island. Two-toed sloth mother/grandmother, 10-yr old Fiona, being hugged by her 9-month old baby Jeffrey, while first-time mother 4-yr old Beanie is being hugged by her 2-month old baby Nicko. Fiona is also Beanie's mother and Nicko's grandmother...it can get confusing, but they are all related! Two-toed sloth babies will cling to their mothers' chests for at least 6 months and stay with them for at least 12 months. Fathers are not usually involved in raising their young. Sloth mothers are very affectionate toward their babies, literally born to hug. However, when it's time for young to become independent, mothers will practice "tough love" and abandon their little ones even when they cry out.

The real meaning to the term hanging out together . Used to hang out with friends, but not upside-down by my finger nails. Interesting bunch and great photography .

😂🤣 I’m so glad you didn’t break any fingernails hanging out with friends, Frank! I remember those “hanging out” days too and just like this sloth family we usually spent time together eating! Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks again for watching! Have a great day! 😁

The whole family gets first prize for being so cute! Beanie has a baby of her own, and Jeffery has grown! I love their sweet little faces. What a beautiful family. Thank you for the sweet video. ❤️🌺🌺🏆🌺🌺♥️
I noticed I'm not getting notifications of all your videos. I have to catch up on quite a few of your videos. 🙁

You are so right! They are the cutest! I visited Beanie and her family 6 months ago. Little did I know that she was pregnant with Nicko at the time. It was such a wonderful surprise to see her with a little one during my most recent visit. I think you have to turn on notifications to get fed new videos. Hope you’ll enjoy catching up! Thanks again for watching and have a great day! 😁
