Thank y’all so much for checking out my request! So happy y’all liked it. Btw, I don’t know much about John Butler other than he’s in a band called The John Butler Trio and I saw them at Bonnaroo Music and Arts festival years ago. Somehow I was lucky enough to stumble upon this video and ever since then this has been my go-to song for when I’m driving down Pacific Coast highway. It’s just perfect for that vibe.
Aussie mate, well now he is. Originally born in California but since 11 he has been an Australian. And anyone in Oz listening to music in the noughties would know the John Butler Trio 🎶
Love this composition. I followed him going back to 2011 or so (Zebra!). Lost touch over the years so this is a chance for me to follow again. His technique and writing chops are to die for. Thanks to Amber for submitting this.
in the 80s ! i was listening on new age radio and i hear a guitarist by the name of michael hedges who blew me away !! they influence a lot of people with their style.
@@markdrechsler5660 😮 wow !!! you are lucky to have seen it !! it was my idol like this that inspired me and with his endorsement with Windham Hill if you know?
seen John Butler and his trio many times great outfit. we have an ocean of bands down here. Come on down to Australia and get some on ya! Cold Chisel "you got nothing I want" written in response and stuck it to American record executives who promised everything and gave them nothing.
John Butlers grandfather played slide guitar and requeathed it to John. First album "Three" with "Betterman" dropped as a single that soared the commercial charts.Great voice humble man
There’s something so righteous about acoustic guitar playing. First time hearing this fella, and I’m impressed. In the same vein, I recommend Michael Hedges, John Gom, Ralph Towner, and any of John McLaughlin’s acoustic work. Great stuff!
Tash Sultana, "Blackbird, 7 Layer Sessions", followed maybe by "Jungle, Bedroom Concert". Then, the GOAT, Tommy Emmanuel, start with "Classical Gas", move on to "Initiation", one man, one guitar telling the story of a million square miles of empty desert and a 60,000 year old Aboriginal initiation tradition, all without using a word. His brother, Phil, was also a guitar magician, some of their jamming was special. Astonishing. From the US I like Justin Johnson, start with "Son Of A Witch". There's so much guitar work that doesn't get mentioned. "Rumble", Link Wray from 1958! "Bombora" and other songs from the Atlantics early 60's. The Shadows, "Apache" etc. A drug fueled jam from the late 60's, televised, "Mama", by Billy Thorpe and the Atecs. A few moments of great work from The Baby Animals in "Early Warning", they did some great stuff. And which is better, the little known Neil Young's "All Along The Watchtower" (10.51min version) or Hendrix?
Welcome to the world of commercial interruption.... There are quite a few acoustic guitar players that have been YOU TUBEing One of my favourites is a fellow by the name of Don Ross. Been a fan since the late 80s. When you watch them, you have to count their fingers just to make sure they are human...
Hello! Thank you for the video! Please pay attention to the young singer Diana Ankudinova.Make reactions to the songs of CAN'T HELP FALLING IN LOVE, Personal Jesus, Crow🌞🌞🌞DIANA ANKUDINOVA is a talented young singer. I would like to know your opinion. I think you will be surprised. Diana has a very unusual voice and artistic presentation for her age.🌹🌹🌹 Thanks in advance
Fun game to play. Watch the video, but just skip ahead 10 seconds the whole time. Her head and facial expression never move. Listen to a cool vibe song while watching a statue.
I too am reminded of Leo Kottke, who did manage to find a use for 1 more string. Killed it, though, John, good on ya, mate, you're a prince. Yeah, feeling kinda damp, but in a good way. 🌊😳🤯😄
She really pisses me off, he is getting into it. This is a sell myself to the devil to wish I could play like this. Oh she finally smiles at the end so that makes it better..... NO
Thought you stopped watching ☺️. That’s how she listens to music. Fun fact, words are reactions too! If you want less intelligence and more show, check out the circus!
What is wrong with that girl? maybe she feel all by the inside...at least a little head shake. My best acoustic video of all time!!!! John Butler !!! Cant imagine he got less than 100 millions views with all the crap that get more....yeah we are living in a world where talent is getting low low low.....
😐😐😐😐kind of an awkward reaction…is your girl ok? Your nodding your head an d she’s like a zombie. Actually tripped me out I was like man did this girl even move.
What is wrong with the girl(?) beside you? I have seen Frankenstiens monster show more emotion than her. Y'all just watch 8+ minutes of the best acoustic performance you will ever see and she(?) looks like she hates music. Good luck with your channel, Jesus...
We love you guys who stop by and react before watching the whole video😆 We’re not show ponies, thank goodness you have options though. We’d love to see the monster btw 😆 😂 and channel’s doing great, thanks 😘 !

Thanks so much for introducing us to John’s music Amber♥️!
good choice.
Saw him and the rest of his trio at the Winnipeg Folk Festival in 2018. Great show.

Thanks for that ♥️!
John is from West Australia. Started as a busker in Fremantle.

I was lucky enough to see Michael Hedges live twice, both times at small clubs in Milwaukee. His influence sure has been wide. He died way too young.

John Butler is a hometown hero from Fremantle, Western Austraila- and a damn fine chap to boot. Lovely fella and a very talented musician.

Cool. I will check him out. I’ve heard the name, but I think this is the first of his music I’ve heard.
Beautiful!

Love the song, but this was the most boring reaction video I've ever seen. My god, show some sign of life lol
We can’t fake reactions like others, sorry!
This girl looks dead in her eyes!... Lik ewhy are you two doing this if there is no music appreciation???
Weird, it’s almost like music is appreciated through ears and not eyes
