I work for a track rescue team as an EMT and we do everything from NASCAR to motor cross at our track. It's pretty interesting to watch the different types of cars and how they react in a crash. Those drivers are lucky and that one that got rear-ended at over 100mph, wow.
I remember watching that live on tv. And I couldn't believe he survived let alone is up and doing well for himself. One of the more brutal crashes ive watched.

I'm surprised there weren't more Nascar clips. It's a gold mine for crazy crashes. Multiple cars involved, cars sliding on their roof, flying through the air, into the catch fence, cars don't barrel rolls down the back stretch of Talladega. Crazy shit happens when you are going 190mph+
I love motorsport, and it will never cease to amaze me that someone actually finishes an Indycar/Nascar event. Apologies for my slight ignorance but am not totally sure of the difference. I am sure that there is a willing individual who can educate me on the differences. If u slow the footage down and look at the car as it leaves the gravel and goes over what looks like asfalt/tarmac the car hit what looks like a green barrier and starts to get airborn and hits the tyrewall. Infact half the car is over the tyrewall barrier before it starts to spin and fall back down. If that green barrier hade knocked the car up a bit more then it would have cleared the entire tyrewall.

The car could very easily have been flinged right over the entire tyre barrier. At 17:04 u can more clearly se the green tyre´s and becouse only a small part of the car hit it it spins up in the air and almost fly over the entire tyre barrier.
I was watching the Austin crash live it was my first time at touring cars and I was excited i remember wishing Rob good luck in the pit lane autograph session because he was my favourite driver and to this day I still dont wish drivers good luck.

For those who don't watch Le Mans via Eurosport, that corner under the Dunlop bridge is now known by them as Scotch Corner (there's a place in the UK called it, so he pun is even more of a groaner here!)
the gigantic accident at 15:33 and it really is an ABSOLUTE AND UTTER MIRACLE after viewing this crash multiple times that the driver was completely unhurt...................it staggering that after such a Massive crash and with the car on its roof and then turned over(with the driver still inside it)that he was unhurt and was walking around normally as if nothing had happened.the debris that came off and went flying in all directions hitting those people could have so easily resulted in injuries serious injuries or worse....................

It was caused by the rear wheel aquaplaning on that puddle right next to the curb. No reason to brake there.
