I think the downside to these and the Carpuride stuff is the phone reliance, battery especially...meaning you really need 2 devices plugged in all the time.
It looks like a lovely bit of kit, unfortunately it’s another thing to carry in your pocket when you get off the bike. I have the BMW connected cradle which fits directly onto the Bmw Mount which allows me to use Google Maps on my phone and it charges the phone at the same time, I can imagine if you’re mirroring your phone to this device it’s going to kill your phone battery pretty quick therefore needing another mount on the bike to charge your phone. I love what you’ve done with your 1300 looks the business I would love to know if having the forged wheels, and doing off-roading Feels any different to when you had spoked wheels?

I currently have the chigee aio lite and it’s great. Im wondering if the new cradle compatible version will work a little bit better with the wonderwheel. For example; is it possible to scroll or zoom in/out by rolling the wonderwheel towards you or away from you. At the moment it’s not. Only clicking left and right.
I was wondering whether it could be possible to install the device with the BMW cradle on a non BMW motorbike...That would overcome my main issue with this product, i.e. being forced to leave it on the bike permanently...
That would be impossible with this model due to obvious reasons, but maybe this is something Chigee will address for future development on their universal Play product.
@ABIKETHING is it? I mounted the older style 4 button BMW mount on my KTM so that I could use my Nav5 from my GS on the KTM. Wired it up and have been using it for 3 years switching back and forth between the 2 bikes. I would think the chigee would also work same way no?

Order done for my GSA at long last a replacement for all the very poor and unreliable BMW solutions. All I need now is a solution for the 22 year RT which works with the whiz wheel and a way to mount it. Do you have a solution coming.
@@ABIKETHING Hi Steve I’ve had a look at the K1600 mount I think that will only work on the pre 2021 face lift models. My 2022 RT has the large screen and no sat prep. The same would apply to the 2022 onwards K1600 models.
Currently the Chigee is not compatible with the BMW Connected app. So, when using the Chigee, no speed limit on the bike's tft, nor are the routes saved in the app? Can you get a resolution from Chigee on this? I have tried they have just said that it is not compatible. A bit of a boo boo there. I have watched a lot of RUclips on this bit of kit, weirdly nobody has mentioned this.
It’s actually not Chigee, nor is it any other Apple car play device that will have the same result. It’s BMW who have restricted their app to make sure it will not work on ANY car play device. BMW want you to use their app either on your phone with their cradle or via their connected ride device. Hope this answers your question.
Response appreciated. My other bike is an MY22 Goldwing bagger, which has factory AA. There are only a few sat Nav apps that include the speed limit, I use Sygic which also allows the next few fuel stations to also be shown. So, I have the gap covered but not on the R1250GS tft display. I will investigate other route apps to see if their route recording works for me. Shame that Chigee loses the recent route data in a matter of seconds when the ride is finished. Perhaps Chigee could look at that and find a way of retaining it, perhaps through their own app?

If that is the case, the phone can connect to the TFT and then the TFT to the headset, instead phone being connected directly. With this set-up, the BMW Connected app will still show the speed limit on the TFT, even though the BMW connected app does not display on the Chigee. It certainly works with the W702 installed on my R1250GS.
@@S2keyz A BMW is my main bike. I'd like it to work with the control wheel. Yes, I could get another version and then get their canbus device, but I also already have a canbus device. If I thought that getting the other version was the best solution, I'd do it. In the meantime, I'd like to know what possibilities the BMW version has.
If you’re buying from abikething you’re in contract with abikething. I have stated it’s a 2 year warranty. I have negotiated a 2 year warranty with the manufacturer but that’s my contract with them. I’m just trying to reassure the buyer we’re in a position to offer a 2 year warranty
Ok. No one has produced something which connects directly into the bmw cradle with all of the connectivity functions you expect to get from The wonderwheel. Until then Chigee can charge what they like. Luckily it’s not as expensive as BMW’s offering. I don’t set the price btw. I’m just listing it at the RRP Chigee have recommended

Yes works with 1300. Any bmw with the cradle prep. If you think about it…..how can you have cameras with it and still retain wireless connectivity?

Sent mine back to chigee for this reason. Can't find anyone who has reviewed the unit with AA and shown it working as perfect as carplay.

Check out standard PLAY with the k1600 mount. It’ll work on the RT
