For that price sulit lang sya as add-on accessory for old bikes. Pero if you are riding a latest bike with already installed multimedia features on infotainment system, there's no need for buying it. you are probably only gonna need to buy a backup camera.
Overall pricey sya and most likely may lalabas na cheaper versions nyan sa online stores which is for me, worth considering para medyo makatipid.

There are competing (has camera and tire pressure sensor) products with android auto and car play for only 8k.

Thanks for this - been looking for info on it. Wonder how it compares to the TSMotech Moto unit which seems very similar but is 10k cheaper?

Do you have any issue with it being overheat or sth? I tried one at a dealer and it seem to get hot pretty quick (in AC room) thanks in advance

Would you be able to connect this to Cardo or Sena? The voice on maps is really important to some riders.

Maybe a rubber damper would reduce vibration?

I've been using chigee on my 500x which is a pretty vibey bike. I can say it's worth it. More on the convenience and peace of mind regarding the TPMS, Battery levels. I love turning on my bike and everything just connects. On ios its pretty stable. The cameras arw great i do love being able to see behind me when approaching stop lights, i dont want to be rear ended. Of course, its keeping my phone safe. Its pretty handy.

The Chigee won't stop you being rear ended, you'll just be able to see the car that did it🤕

My suggestion is to have a custom fabrication of bracket to have it lower than the windshield with vibration dampener just like the one in quadlock.

My friend did the same thing. But using the peak design phone mount.

    Can you explore cheaper options?
The closest one I've seen, feature-wise, to Chigee is an Ekleva unit. GreenYi looks good, too, but it needs a parking mode, iirc.

would love to know cheaper options as well. Something cheaper but would still be reliable enough to not give me more headaches than convenience/safety.

I'm using a unit that I got from taobao. From a company that only sells motorcycle stuff.
There are lots of options for around 900CNY. This includes front and rear camera, TPMS and a SanDisk SD card ( China sellers tend to include SanDisk)
These options will lack the radar function and blind spot monitoring.
But at 1/3 of the cost, I can do without radar. The Chigee with full options go for close to 3k CNY on Taobao.

I would also suggest getting larger than 5 inch (what I have). The keyboard will end up being too small to type on, especially with gloves.
My friend got a 8 inch one. Which was massive.
6 or 7 inches might be the sweet spot I think

Went to Malaysia Autoshow 2024 they had the 4K display version and it super crystal clear. I think next year it will be release

Never mind 4K? A bigger 7" or 8" screen is what is needed, can't see a thing on that tiny 5" screen.

I've had the Chigee fitted for over a week now and I can safely say that for navigation it's completely useless, the screen is just too small and it's near impossible to follow maps on it, it's like going back 20 years to the first satnavs with their tiny screens. I liked the idea of having the navigation, music and cameras all in one unit but because of the small screen I wish now I'd gone for the bigger screened Carpuride and a separate dashcam system; or even just kept my Garmin XT and a separate Dashcam system. The Chigee also doesn't seem to have any stabilisation on the video so when you get moving the video quality drops considerably, it looks like the GOpro is going to have to go back on the bike.

Hi MotoDeal, I’m hoping if there is any possibility that a position is available from your video production crew as I am a digital cinema degree holder from FEU and an avid motorcycle fan/rider/enthusiast.

For me, just bought a secondary phone for maps TECNO camon 18p for 8k, mas okay pwede mo pa gamitin pang picture and pang calls sa ride pwede mo pa dalhin sa coffee shops lalo na kung tinatamad ka ilabas ung primary phone mo.
Yun lang wala nga lang DASHCAM hahaha

Don't forget. More expensive phone also have an OIS motor on the camera modules.
The vibrations from the bike will mess that up easily. Especially on a single cylinder.
My friend learnt that the hard way with is iphone 14 pro max.

    • @user-gg2rc2mt4g
      @user-gg2rc2mt4g 16 дней назад +2

it's either you get a phone mount with a reliable vibration damper or use a phone that you don't mind getting the camera messed up. rip to your friend's ip14 pro max. That's going to be expensive to repair.

@@user-gg2rc2mt4g he's rich. It just gave him an excuse to buy the 15 🤣🤣
But the peak design is supposed to be reliable as well. At least for what they charge for it. Haven't heard of anyone getting their phone messed up on the quad lock one yet.
But as to using a cheap phone. The android auto/apple car play screen is only 200USD. Way cheaper and provides more functionality than a phone would
