Great video again you two. Site looked good and a lovely pitch too. I can understand the emotion Dave....all that garlic lol. Take care and enjoy your time ;))
Hi Stew, thanks as always. I’m not a fan of garlic but once it’s cooked I couldn’t really taste it. It’s the smell that does me 😂😂 Best wishes, Helen & Dave
Hi Tris & Nikki, thanks. Must say, I was choking up trying to sing along, found it quite moving. Nice stay we’re on a different site, same coast right now so stay tuned 👍
Such beautiful sites you have in UK to RV at. I loved the singing in the Church I was brought up on WWII music and although I was very young I remember the end of the war. Thousands of soldiers marching past in a Welcome Home parade in Hartford Connecticut. Also remember plain as day the President waving from an open auto....fancy for it's time 1945.. Lovely video remembering brings us closer as a Nation it was a proud time. ❤❤ TY
Hello Virginia, completely agree and one word you have used there which stand out is ‘Proud’. The debt we owe our brave service men & women can never be repaid and we must never forget. When I see films or sing along with these old songs I always ‘choke up’. Thank goodness for their bravery. Always great to hear from you. Our best wishes, Helen & Dave
A good end to your stay at Beeston Regis Dave & Helen. A beautiful setting to eat lunch and Helen’s meal looked fab 😋. How lovely to attend the D Day service on the coast and seeing the beacon lit too. All the best, Rob & Gail 😀
Good morning Rob & Gail, thank you, a lovely stay and the D Day service was very moving and an essential reminder that we should never forget them. We’ve moved on but still in Norfolk, so plenty more to come before we head for the South Coast! Have a great weekend. Helen & Dave
Hi Dave lovely place we arrived at Cromer camc site on 11/6/24 here for 10 nights weather not good more rain then sunshine, we where in Sheringham on 12/6/24 the rain was not to bad ,we were here last year and had lovely weather nice video ,
Hi, the weather has been dismal but hopefully it may have turned for the better. We are still away in Norfolk and heading south soon. Hope you enjoy the rest of your stay and thanks for watching. Helen & Dave 👍
Thank you so much for watching. We do love Norfolk our home county but we about to head South and check out some new scenery. Hope you can stay tuned. Best regards, Helen & Dave
Great review dave and Helen and you made me hungry and will be trying the recipe tomorrow great DDay service as well we have just come back from Dungeness the wind 40mph would not let up so came back a day early the wind actually pulled the awning out of the rail
What a fabulous video that you have shared with your loyal subscribers, The Hotel where you both stayed is absolutely stunning just like North Norfolk, as always Dave and Helen thank you ❤️👍
Cheers Stephen, as you know we love North Norfolk and are hopping between a number of sites in the area. Stay tuned for more and thanks for your amazing support. Best wishes, Helen & Dave
Thought you might recognise it 😂 The chicken dish is a real favourite of ours. If you need any other recipes, let Helen know early and she can get them to you by Summer 2025 😂👍
Hi Buster, It’s a great tasty dish, she’s a good cook but clearly would be nothing without her assistant/kitchen porter 😂 catch you in the next one. Cheers, Helen & Dave 👍
Hi after watching your vlog at the Dales country house we went today. Very nice. Weve been coming to north norfolk for years but never been to the Dales. Great vlog thanks nigel& joanne👍.
What a lovely video, I can imagine that service was emotional, I got quite teary watching the TV coverage. The hotel looked stunning. We’re finally getting away in the caravan on Monday to the Cotswolds, weather forecast a bit iffy but heyho. I’m definitely going to have a go at your chicken recipe Helen, thank you.
Hi Sandra, bet you’re looking forward to your trip. Fingers crossed for better weather, who would believe that we are mid way through June!! The service was very touching. Finger lickin chicken, it’s very tasty. Helen says thanks 👍😊
Hi Helen and Dave the walk to Sheringham looked lovely. Beautiful sea views. We’ve been to Sheringham a couple of times it’s lovely place. You can’t beat a steam train. Ooh your meal looked lovely and the Crème brûlée looked yum. Good Helen win at chess he he. The Dales Hitel looked very posh. The sunset was beautiful. Very nice D day service. The chicken looked amazing. Another gorgeous sunset. Take care x Julie and Tony x
Hi Julie & Tony, there are a number of really nice hotels in this area and we’ve just had lunch today at a beautiful pub near Sheringham that we have driven past for years. Best wishes to you both. Helen & Dave 👍
Another great video. Loved Helen’s chicken recipe and we’re going to try it at the weekend. Sheringham is a lovely place with its steam trains and busy high street. Take care both of you
Good video and nice to see a D day service. We’ve been over to Normandy last week with the caravan stayed on a site on Utah beach. Visited many museums and saw many military vehicle parades and events. Such a lot we owe to that generation and what they went through. Attended an amazing commemoration event on the beach at 6.30 AM on the 6th so so moving well worth the trip over.
Thanks very much for watching and leaving a comment. That must have been a special trip. It’s important to remember the sacrifices our brave soldiers made for our freedom. We can never repay them and must never forget. Our best wishes, Helen & Dave
Good to see you both in fine fettle, a gastro edition this week from Upper Sheringham and Beeston Regis no less. I do respectfully suggest though Dave that you could possibly play the part better with a G and T and a monocle instead of a Ghost Ship
Thank you Helen and Dave. I had to turn off the political TV debate with everyone shouting at each other. Your video was lovely and brought my blood pressure down nicely.
Hi Greg, Wells is a favourite place of ours too, Helen’s Dad was born in Wells so we go a lot. It’s only a short drive to Sheringham too. ATB, Helen & Dave 👍
Love to hear some of your war time stories Dave😅 Yes quite emotional as my Dad was involved in ww2. I'm just grieved the state of some of Our country big cities are becoming and what those lads & ladies would think of it now! Great vid hope the weather changes but don't hold your breathe.
Hi Helen and Dave, Yes, we say it every vlog but as usual it was great. Fantastic sunsets, surroundings and food at the hotel. Helens chicken looked gorgeous right upto the point of the olive's 😖 think we would have to substitute them 😅. Nice touch with the d day segment 👌. Our list of places to visit is growing for when we visit Incleboro, can we pls ask what pitch number you were on in your vlog with thunderstorm. As always take care and stay safe. Paul and Joanne 👍 ❤️.
Hi Paul & Joanne, thanks for watching. We were on Church View, can’t remember the exact number but it was 4th or 5th along. You might be able to view a map on CAMC website. Great views from there 👍 take care, Helen & Dave 👍
Just watched this , we love it at Sheringham . We will be trying this site out for a change from our usual. Did you read the blue plaque you panned the camera over on the cottage in the street near the Lobster pub. 🤔.
We love Sheringham too and it’s a nice walk over the bump. Yes I did read the plaque, can’t remember the exact wording but recall it had something to do with a gun fired against the Spanish Armada or something like that. Thanks for watching and safe travels 👍
Hi Angela, many thanks for watching. It’s quite a strange phenomenon really but simple when you look at a map of where we are, Sheringham, Norfolk. This time of year the sun is setting NNW not W so it further north but coastline curves in Norfolk and this coast is also facing NNW and because of the longer days it rises NNE not E and that’s why. Just not enough sun at the moment 😂😂
Hi Helen and Dave, Chicken looked great, but not enough Garlic🤣. Opposite to you I'd have to swap Lemon for Cider or Wine Vinegar, Lemons were created for Gin and Tonic not eating! Yuck!
Hello guys, I’ve just come across your channel and I’m loving your videos and reviews. Still going through your back catalogue. I live in ormesby st Margaret and have just purchased my first caravan. A medium sized 2 birth elddis. I’ll be a solo caravana and intend on going out during the autumn and winter. Will be a bit nervous on the first time towing. Just wondering if you have done a video on tips for first time caravaners? Or if you have any good tips to share for a beginner.. many thanks. Andy from ormesby. 👍
Hello Andy, many thanks for watching and congratulations on your new purchase. There are lots of top tips on setting up and getting the caravan ready. Checkout our Caravanning tips for absolute beginners series. In terms of towing first time, take it slow and take the corners wider. Recommend a good satnav for caravaners so you’re not heading down narrow lanes but you’ll get the hang of it very quickly. The van just follows you. Good luck, Helen & Dave 👍 (we used to live in Ormesby). 😊
Good video again tonight, we really look forward to watching. Helen can I please ask how you have put your bunting up,I used double sided tape and when the van got hot down it came. Thanks
Hi Janice, hope you’re well. I just used blue tack. A little bit behind each flag. It seems to do ok, never come down. Thanks for watching. Helen & Dave 😊
