I have had tons of treatment with multiple disciplines at the VA and have had excellent care by excellent physicians. I also worked for the VA when I separated from the military for 2 years. The stereotype that "the VA has horrible medical care are they are out to get me" is outdated and undoubtably false. The VA is not nearly as bad as the vocal minority makes it out to be. And I've seen regular teaching hospitals in far, far worse condition than the VA.
