House casually referencing the God of Pokémon during his patient's ddx meeting is peak this show's writing lol.
I never noticed that before. I had to stop and go back to rehear it.
dang you're right... this is INSANE level writing

THAT's what the Arceus reference was? I didn't even know how to spell it, tried searching Arsius to find out what the inside joke was, and gave up. Wow...I had a nerd joke fly right over my head. Kudos House writers.
I'm half convinced the person who runs this channel uploaded this one just to remind us that House canonically referenced Arceus in a patient differential.
i realize that i love shows that force me to look up a lot of things the characters reference. It happened again with Frasier.
It’s a alchemy reference not pokemon

@Malikav109 then what was it a reference to, smart guy? what other God is named arceus?

Btw ik that by season 8, us viewers were ultra used to them just breaking into people's homes by that point. But forreal, the scene where that find that guy's "secret stash" room and then go and reveal that information to his wife right in front of him is not only extra illegal but also a severe invasion of his privacy since it was supposed to be a secret and doctor patient-confidentiality exists lol. I just found it funny because they didn't have him get upset at the team at all over that, and yet considering he's a lawyer, he could've nailed their asses to the wall for that one. They not only broke in but messed with his stuff enough to discover his secret room and then used that illegally obtained information against him later, meaning it's a lot more than breaking and entering there charges-wise lol.

Most people get vaccinated for diphtheria when they are 5 or 6. Two shots a couple months apart. I think a booster when 10. It’s been a long time since I had mine. Was virtually nonexistent in the sixties and seventies but along with polio, measles and whooping cough it’s making a comeback due to antivaxers and their kids. Children today are dying of diseases that were well under control in the sixties and seventies. Even malaria is making a comeback. Yellow fever used to be endemic to the United States. With the attacks on public health and the chronic underfunding of NHS I expect it to make a comeback too.

They continue to argue about what it could be - a mental illness, a brain infection, or an autoimmune disorder. He treats with steroids and immunoglobulin, but the patient gets worse and goes into anaphylactic shock. They finally get him breathing again by performing a tracheotomy. House looks down his windpipe and sees the patient has a pseudo membrane growing and blocking the trachea. He has Dr. Park call the CDC to get the anti-toxin and she realizes it’s diphtheria.

Why so many identical guns?
This looked like my armory in the NG.
I have many guns but I’m only one man, I can’t use more than one identical weapon.
Because it is an armoury just like your NG unit, just for a post apocalyptic war, as opposed to being one guy's personal collection built up over lifetime.
Yeah when we gun people by it's a collection over a long period, and for different things, shotguns for birds, calibers like 30-06 for larger Game, .22/.410 for small game, pistols and AR 15s for defense. And then tbh just the stuff you buy for fun or novelty.
In an actual civil unrest or even end of the world type event, it's really smart to have alot of thr same gun. Same ammo, extra parts, training on just one gun. Logistically it actual makes sense. And if you are more, well you can bring in and arm more trustworthy people and if you actually have excess, then one of the most valuable items for trade possible.
I was going to say because they bought in bulk the same prop guns. I mean I don’t know if it cheaper to buy fake guns than real guns but no way can you just buy that many guns without a lot of paperwork.

@@DETOXKYT One thing a lot of people don't understand is that part of the reason to stockpile weapons and ammo is not only for protection/hunting but for trading material as well. If this dude was stockpiling gold, fuel, food, tools or even fishing gear people might think he's weird or going overboard but wouldn't be scared of him. But because he chose weapons people automatically think he should be stopped or not allowed to do that. The only reason this guy seems weird is because the people that know what they are doing are very good at hiding it. I can say for sure that this dude's stash doesn't even darken the doorway of some that I have seen. I do agree that if he doesn't know what he's doing it would become a liability but realistically when society gets to that point, dude's just prolonging his own demise anyway so it doesn't even matter. No, she looks like Mandy. Her name is Odette Annable.
I always thought Arceus was pronounced Arkeus..
You didn't really make it clear what you mean since that could still be said different ways but the pronunciation he uses here is indeed incorrect.
People who didn't understand language argued about it for a long time but it was pretty clear "see" was always wrong regardless of what the localization bastardizers said in the anime.
The word obviously originates in things like archaic and alchemic.
In Gen 7 the devs directly gave proof of what they intended, however.
They would have called it's plate mimicking ability RCS system if that's what was intended, but instead it was called RKS System.
The Pokémon is called Ar-kay-ess.
Localization for the games is done alongside main development since they moved to worldwide releases so even though the ability is not named the same as in Japanese it was a okayed by them unlike the anime.
Game Freak has some oversight on the Japanese anime but localization was left to TPCi who are just a marketing company and not the ones who get to decide how things are said.
