Josh, some tips for the GoPro mount: The GoPro mount was so weak because it was printed flat. Tensile (pulling) strength in 3D prints is weakest along layer lines (so up and down as it comes off the build plate). You can make it better by rotating the part 90 degrees so that the loops the GoPro attaches to print flat (the printer draws a ring of plastic for the inner part of the shaft and a big loop of plastic going all the way to the part that touches the drone for the outside perimeter). You'll need supports, but the extra filament and cleanup is worth it.
This may move the weak point to the screw holes for the mount. A 45 degree rotation might be a good compromise. Scrub up and down through the layer display in your slicer and try to suss out whether there are enough loops to get the strength you think you'll need. If not, you can rotate the model to give more loops to the screw holes (or vice versa).
Also, printing with thicker layers is usually better for strength (for tearing forces, a bunch of small strands can tear one by one until they're all gone, but in the same amount of space, thicker strands will withstand more force before failing that way).
For more info on layer adhesion strength testing, look at some of CNC Kitchen's videos (try searching his channel for "layer adhesion" or "strength"). HTH.

Hi Kemosabe, your ending statements in this post were very factual. RE: When bind-in fly breaks, how will you know how to fix it? I believe that is true and via your generous and kind guidance 5-plus years ago I began scratch-building kawds and crashing and repairing and crashing and calling upon you at all hours for help which kept me at it. That fact of gained experience is why today even with FAA's enforced bull-shit and so forth I've kept at it. So, the few bind n fly's I've acquired are no problem most of the time to fix. I'm more inclined to say to anyone interested in flying kawds, "to buy one small 2-inch ready-to-go kawd, learn to fly, then scratch build other and keep at it until some bind-in-fly comes along you just got to have." Regards, Bob G.

I moved the vtx antenna to a long tpumount in front of the battery. GPS works. Vtx works. Soft Battery stopper added. GPS is in optimal position. Antenna sticks up above battery and reception gets better when you turnaround if video breaks up. Also video antenna is cheaper than battery so all around a good deal. 👍

I don't like that since the lead on my lipos is now too short. The ELRS receiver uses plugs and an extension cable. So four plugs in total. I notice some packet loss no matter what distance. It's fluctuating between 90 and 100 all the time. I wonder if that has anything to do with the way the receiver is connected to the FC.

just got an eco HD 2 weeks ago. 500+ euros (in US they are way cheaper sadly for us europeans) , i still own an old cidora analog 4s , and i wanted to switch to digital (i already had goggles and a cinelog 25 HD few weeks old) , i'm a videographer and i wanted something that would let me fly for longer times, without gopro.
Bottomline, best deal i've ever made. i got also 4 packs 1800mah and 4 1500mah , i can stay airborne from 6 to 9 minutes , obviously not freestyling, but fast cruising and pulling the gas few times too, average cinematic i would say.
Now i'm waiting for the dji 04 , if it comes out and if it's going to be better than the o3, i will no longer need a gopro.
I've always went for iflight , because i believe they are rock solid, bummer for the cinewhoops category, i would have loved smart batteries, but the ones on the iflight 25 were not smart, that's why i went for a geprc .
Speaking of smart batteries, i'd kill to finally have some batteries like DJI , the hustle alone of managing batteries it's a pain in the ass in fpv.

I did build your kit with 03’ it’s ok, the tutorial was fair. You are my primary resource for Fpv. However I actually was not that impressed with the qav-s frame.

That 1.6 watt vtx could be giving that gps unit some problems...

For the few hours I've put into my BnF, the torque I should be putting into things has been a guess. I think a few times I've stripped a nut because I wanted something to not come loss and was guessing how much force I should apply.

Would the frame host an original DJI air unit ?
I have one lying around and would probably wana replace the VTX.
Wish it had shipped without a VTX

Hay i have finally made the financial step and bought my first drone, don't hate me but i bought a second hand dji avata i have ordered a controller but all in all for 650€ im happy,
i mean the dji goggles are the v2 and them alone are like 400€ and the controller is 150€ and thats not taking into account the the drone and the motion controller.
My thoughts process is use the avata till i get good and confident and save up about 400-500 ish to build my own dji O3 air unit drone hopefully by then the price drops 🤞iven 50€ drop and i would be happy and im thinking a 5" 6s, feel free to give ideas and recommendations
So yeah i have officially joined the community and a great one at that.

What book would be the best thing to read in order to understand drones and the equipment needed to fly them? Like I’m brand new to this and I’m so lost on EVERYTHING!!!

I am new to FPV drones. What all would be required if I get the optional iFlight ELRS 868/900MHz RX and Commando 8 ELRS Radio 868/900 MHz V2 TX offered on the sight in the link? I have chargers and I can secure batteries. Thank you much.

Printed with far too low of temperature. Typical for low temp tpu prints in my experience. just print it yourself, high temp low speed and the layers will bind like nothing else

Hey JB! I appreciate your videos, and I was wondering about goggles! I'm interested in upgrading from my box goggles, and I'm using analog (the Tyro119 from your build guide!). What would you recommend in the current market? My price range is about $500
