  • Well, spring is upon us here soon and the honey-do list is growing. In preparation for some work around the house and a few projects, I'm getting our Ridgid miter saw cleaned up and fixed up. As good as this little saw is (and it really is fantastic), over the years the laser has gotten more and more dim, to the point that it's almost useless in anything but total darkness...and who's using a miter saw in the dark?
So, ereplacementparts.com came to the rescue again with a new laser module, and while I was there I decided to order a new dust bag and a table mounted work clamp as well. Grand total? Only about $15 + shipping for everything! Hats off to Ridgid for supporting their legacy tools, and to ERP for stocking and shipping everything so quickly. Just do yourself a favor and throw a piece of tape over the snap ring to avoid sending yours into orbit like I did...
    Thanks for watching!

@MidwestMechanic-p7c there is no battery for the laser module, it's hard wired and plugs into the saw.
