But wait there's more! A PO BOX finally wahoo!
First, a disclaimer: So many of you have kindly offered to send me things, including vintage items you may have inherited, and I am so honored you would think of me and of course I do adore vintage treasures, however, unfortunately I only have so much storage space currently! So there is a chance that if something just wont work for me, or doesn't fit me etc, that I may not be able to keep all of your lovely things. Please only send things if you are okay with the possibility that I may donate items I just cannot keep. If you would prefer I put things that I can't keep into the TCH Etsy shop to help raise funds for me and the channel, please specify this in a note or letter in your parcel. Thank you so much!

‘Crimson-peaking it around the house.’ Hahahahaaa 😂 We all need more of that.
I have a burgundy robe very similar and had the same problem with it being just a tad too short and wishing it was longer. I ended up stitching a triple layer lace in black around the hem and it added the right length with the extra drama. I liked it so much I went around the edges of my sleeves with the same lace and it’s the piece I’m most proud of.
It's incredible! I understand not trusting yourself with delicate silk around the house. I had the comfiest, thin, silk and cotton blend blouse, I wore it constantly and one day I somehow torn off sleeve cuff. That's how I learnt that you don't wear delicate blouses around the house 😂
I haven't had this happen yet, but I have cats who help me put pulls in my sweaters while I'm knitting them, so I probably shouldn't have delicate fabrics, either 😄
@@AllTheHappySquirrels Bunnies are no help either, especially when you leave your garment on bed and they decide that it's perfect thing to dig into 😂
@@Noel.Chmielowiec oh no! What is it with pets making nests of our nice stuff? 🤣
@@AllTheHappySquirrels I think this stuff smells like us and they feel cosy there :) Or they want to destroy our work, either way is possible 😂
@@Noel.Chmielowiec It could be both, depending on their moods and the state of the kibble bowls.
That's what I love about your work. Use the principles, leave the maths behind, and dive into the creative. It's so organic and nourishing to the soul; even to watch! I appreciate the hard work but it's the freedom you give yourself, and us, to express self and create what is pleasing to you. Thank you so much!
Here here!
Thank you Kaytie!!
I've been waiting for this tutorial. For Christmas I'm making my girlfriend a quilted house coat, the design brief is 'dramatic evil queen'. I showed her your robe and she loved the sleeves, so fabric yardage allowing I'll be giving them a go.
I like that design brief for sure! ✨
@@TheClosetHistorian Since I lack pattern drafting skills (and if I had them they'd be for menswear) my plan is to use a women's dressing gown pattern to start with and then fuck with the sleeves to make it more dramatic, maybe add more flare to the skirt if I have the fabric. Unlike last time I made her a garment I'm going to do a mockup and get her to try it on so I know it will fit, even if that does spoil the surprise a little.
That does indeed look like something I need in my life, but since it's summer down here I'm thinking the sleeves could be a bit more... butterfly-ish? No! _Dragonfly!_ Sketch-book, awaaay!
Sleeeeeeves! What is it with us spooky girls and our eccentric sleeves
Epic sleeves are just the best, we cannot deny the truth ✨
Yes, always taught to include the seam allowance. French seams - so divine in the end. Black lace at the bottom would be lovely. Wishing you more get well thoughts.
Thank you!
I'm sure the cats will love it, maybe best it's not in silk, but how amazing would that look in the mandragora green. Best wishes to you all xx
Thank you Heather!
Ohhhhh!! Pretty! I love the built in cat toy on the sleeves too 😉
Oh no! That iiiis a built-in cat toy attachment! Hope those cute lil beasts don't get any ideas...
Love, love, love this! I just want to say that you are responsible for giving me the confidence to try making a gown for a Christmas party this year, so thank you!
Thank you! You can do ittt! ✨🧵
Oh you are SO evel...
I have no use for robes - and now I NEED to make one with thoose sleeves!
And that is on top of the sackbackrobe I have been dreaming of. But a trailing sackback and sleeves taked together at the back is not going to work together. So now I have TWO dreamrobes.....
All the robes! All the robes! ✨✨
I love your casual use of bias tape for hems - makes so much sense! I will have to get over my phobia of making my own bias tape. 😊
So sorry to hear you got covid in Oct. I hope you have a full recovery, and not get long covid complications. This robe is gorgeous. You are so talented!
Thank you! I'm almost back to 100%, still just have a lingering cough which is irritating for sure!
You did a beautiful job with this project. I think the length is perfect because one does not want to trip and fall while getting ready for an evening out. Wouldn't this be wonderful as a coat done in a black velvet with silver trim?
This would make a stunning coat!
Yes!
Thank you Laurie! These sleeves in black velvet would be soooo nice 😭
You are getting so close to 100K subscribers. I'm glad more people are finding you.
Thank you Kathy! 💜
Absolutely love it I d never get dressed if I owned one but I guess my dog would soon see to that thanks for sharing glad you are getting better ❤️😄🇬🇧
Thank you Jaki!
The sheer fabulousity of this robe cannot be overstated! J'adore!! Now all you need is a Victorian manse to glide around in!
Adding a black ruffle to the end is a genius idea!
I love this and have a powerful need to make one to swan about in while I'm studying. Now that my machine is fixed I feel a powerful need for a good procrastination project! Gorgeous work as always
Thank you Lilly!
Me: scrolling.........
Notices thumbnail *Jaw hits floor* instaclick! Absolutely gorgeous work as usual!
Thank you!!
😍😍😍such a statement piece. It’s wonderful! And that rich color 🤤 ♥️ How about using the burrito method next time for the yoke? It would save you a french seam. It involves a placket yoke so it incases the seam between the fashion fabric and the placket. There are (of course 😂) a ton of YT vid’s about it and I found it very enlightning 💡 looking forward to a piece in navy blue or something??? `
"Miss Esposito, I have a Mrs. Addams on the line. She'd like to commission your large sleeved dressing gown in black."
Seriously. This is absolutely gorgeous, and Morticia Addams would've felt the same way. Also, the hem addition you mention sounds like it would look really cool!
Thank you! For Morticia I would take commissions 😂
@@TheClosetHistorian and you know she would spare no expense. The Addams' were just those sort folks.
Is it weird for me to be here and make this a project for Christmas with black chiffon and red cotton? Two layers. Very ambitious. I just hope it's not Christmas party 2023. 😂😂
#Hooked
Love from the PH 🇵🇭
Thank you! I think decadent robes are a perfect Christmas project!
Magnificent !!! 😻😻😻 The length of your dressing gown looks very planned and sensible in my opinion. 😻 Wearing delicates around the house, garments with delicious trains, trailing long sleeves, and beautiful lace always captures the attention of the kitties, and I am pounced upon!!! Snags in delicate fabrics break my heart. I have even managed to hang up on a corner of my restaurant-size metal kitchen sink and shredded the section of my favorite flannel shirt, all by myself. So now, favorite flannel shirt will become a shortened toasty bed jacket. 😻 I love French Seams and Flat Feld Seams. 😻
Perfection from the beginning to end. The teach of this sooooo superb. I will try this after the holidays, love it!!!! Watched, re - watched (saved).
Thank you!!
I think it looks great - you don't want to be tripping over the front.
Thank you Sharon! It'd definitely more practical!
Bewitching .Yet you make it look so simple (Achievable!)
Thank you Valerie!
So beautiful! I definitely need one for flouncing around my apartment, lol. I also love the idea of a version 2 in black burnout velvet with beaded fringe on the sleeve hems. I think for the beaded fringe version I would have to make the sleeves a little smaller, but similarly magnificent
Any chances for a video on said beaded fringe robe idea?
Thank you Kathryn! I always love a burnout velvet moment!
Bianca this is exquisite. You are so so talented. I hope you reach 100,000 subscribers really soon, you richly deserve it. X
Thank you Rebecca!
I have missed your technical and brilliant pattern making posts. You outdid yourself over Halloween and this robe is fantastic. 👍
Thank you Jeanette!
Fabulous! I love the tassel detail. It is so flattering on you! Looking forward to what you have in store for the next video. Thanks so much for sharing.
Thank you Elizabeth!
Love your work, your skill, your style, your presentation, your sense of humor, all of it. Big fan. 😊
Thank you Denise!
Gorgeous! Glamorous! The robe is pretty awesome too. Lol. Thank you for sharing this wonderful creation with us!
Thank you Amber!
Thank you so much for this fun and beautiful robe tutorial. I especially am glad to see the flat sleeve process. So easy!
Thank you! Too easy, makes making a robe in every color tempting 😂✨
This is stunning !!!!! French seams are my favourite just so easy and 2 step to finish on the machine. Will be making robes now in every colour I can find in reasonably priced fabrics. x
Thank you!
What a beautiful robe - it looks stunningly beautiful. You are an amazing artist, congrats!
Glad that you're recovered from Covid and feeling better.
Thank you Jules!
Oh dear, I guess that means I have a robe on my to do list! The garnet color is so lovely! But I need one in royal blue, amethyst, even an acid green would be amazing!
All the colors of the "rich widow" rainbow!
Thank you Amy! I'd like a whole rainbow of them for sure!
Thank you for posting! This robe is exquisite and I cannot wait to make one for me!
Thank you Lindsey!
I really appreciate your videos for entertainment and aesthetic value. It's very calming to watch people sew, but I also love your vintage Addams Family vibe. I've had to learn that as much as I love a vintage witch look, it's not who I am, so I love to see it on other people. Please keep being you!
Thank you!
Watching this on my lunch break because I'm too excited to wait till I get home. Amazing garment and I absolutely adore it and will be making my own soon! 💙
Thank you Josie!! 💜
Absolutely glorious! Beautiful pattern and workmanship.
Thank you Raini!
I love it and I will def make it - but use it as a dress that I can wear next year whilst cruising the Nile. I found some viscose chiffon, that should be a good alternative.
This is just so beautiful!! And it looks so high end and complicated in construction once it's done! Great so see that it is actually really manageable from a pattern perspective! Thank you so much for this, Bianca!
Thank you Laura! Deceptively simple for sure!
Briliant idea to attatch the sleeves! I wish I had thought of that. It looks like a great way to reduce the amount of damage long sleeves can do indoors.😉
Thank you Julie!
Somehow this is the video that made french seams click for me, so thank you!
I promise you I mean this is a compliment, but if Disney were to ever remake Hercules, then I would nominate you as the voice of Hades. It's the smart, fast, convincing voice even if you yourself aren't convinced! I live for it.
I am happy to play a god of the underworld at any time ✨
Wooo!
This is exactly what I needed in my life. Now to go to the craft store and hope they actually have the kinds of fabric I’m looking for
I too go, “Crimson Peak-ing” around the house as well. 😂❤
You are AMAZING! Your work is so beautiful and your background you talk to us in front of is awesome. Thank you for your amazing creations!!
Thank you Jennifer!
I have no idea what you're doing, and I'm so glad it's not me doing it, but once again a stunning result, and yes, I want this too. I'll wait until I can twitch my nose effectively.
Thank you!
Waiting with excitement for you to reach 100k!
Thank you Jane!!
I was on the road when I saw the notification for this, but I'm so jazzed to watch!
I went to fashion school too. We never had SA in blocks and added the SA at the very end after all the pattern pieces are drafted and "walked" to make sure all the notches are in the right place.
These vibes are immaculate
Dramatic but no fabric drama 🙂 no silk or chiffon around those kitties 😻
Truth 😂🐈
Brilliant!! I love costuming with secrets and i feel you could fling your arms up batman style!
Beautiful dressing gown! Love the color. Very dramatic.
Thank you!
The color and seamwork are blowing me away! So lovely!
Thank you!
ooooh and I loooove the sleeves attached behind! Lots ofmovement + elegance
I love all your table stuff!
Beautiful!!! 😍
Thank you Elaine!
Simply gorgeous! 😍
Thank you Doris!
Stunning!
Thank you Liz!
I so love this! A beaded tassel made with Jet Swarovski crystals would be perfect!
Thank you Caroline!
Absolutely beautiful! ❤👏
Thank you Deb!
SO BEAUTIFUL! I moved from garments to bag making and lost everything I learned from you sadly, but am still fascinated watching you measure and draw and cut out. It is satisfying to see. You are very talented. 🙂
Thank you Ann! Meanwhile I can't figure out how to make a simple clutch handbag and have it look even passably professional 😅
This is super cool!!!! Very stylish
Oh my God this is the bloody wine bat cosplay of my dreams
Thatd absolutely beautiful
Loving the green eyeshadow 💚
I think it definitely makes sense to french seam the top of the sleeves rather than serge, because that part would touch bare arms. It'd be softer than a potentially rough serged edge.
And I love it, and I need one. In deep green, or maybe blue. Next time I see an appropriate fabric on sale...
Hope you are feeling better. Love those sleeves! The Ultimate Batwing!
Thank you Jane!
Gorgeous!
Thank you!
I am so excited for this video! ✨ Must go and buy some fabric to make this immediately!
Beautiful 🤩
Thank you Nina!
what an absolutely stunning gown! loved this video, thank you for sharing!
Thank you!
Oh Bianca! "GODDESS OF THE SACRED EVENING!" PREPARING FOR THE SACRIFICAL CUTTING ON THE BLUE PATTERING TABLE OF DOOM!" LOL! OH DO THE THANG, GURL!!! WORK IT!!
Impressive!
This is the dressing gown of my dreams!!!
I love that you chose a practical fabric for this floating, full-sleeved, gorgeous robe. I hope you enjoy wearing it a lot and for a long while. Bet your kittens are going to love those sleeves too!😺
So gorgeous!! Love this project!
Thank you Robin!
Having seen so many people sewing the Walk Away Dress lately, I was wondering if you could add it to your list of projects? Everything I've seen is so confusing due to the reproduction pattern being so different from the original. You were the first person I thought of that could do it right. 👍💙
I'm going to try to make one next spring/summer!
Epic, indeed!
Bias binding and facing hems for curved hems are the literal Best Thing Ever.
It is epic! So cool
Thank you Corey!
Wowza! You keep outdoing yourself with each new make! ♡♡♡♡◇
Thank you Rinae!
Absolutely gorgeous❤❤
Thank you Carol!
Gorgeous
Thank you!
Eugh delightful. Excellent, as always.
Thank you Sam!
Yaaaaaaaaay i love it!
It is very nice!❤ You are so talented.
Thank you Renata!
It is beautiful and inspiring.
I for some reason i'm the same way I have my brain is very very trained that you have to put the sentiment allowance on the pattern and if i don't remember to do that then i'm just gonna waste a bunch of fabric because it's gonna be too small. And if anybody has a problem with it then they need to get over it. You're doing an amazing thing by showing us in teaching us and reminding us that you can always do things your own way embellish your own way. That's the great thing about individuality.
Absolutely fabulous ( as always)
Thank you!
I wish I had occasions to wear something like this 🥰
work of art. kudos
Thank you Tracia!
Gorgeous!!
Thank you!
So cool.
Thank you!
Beautiful, as always, and yay for french seams. It always makes me smile when you say you will never do them.
Thank you! Every once and a while I am forced by the universe into french seams 😂
