I bought a tascam 88 and the tape is stuck inside . I put a new Sony DTRS tape in and got a 68 error code anything you can help me with? The tascam is in new condition.
I might be too late to help seeing that it's 7 months later!!! The easiest possible solution for a stuck tape in a tascam DA-88 or Sony PCM-800 is to hold down the eject button, then press power on, keep 'eject' held down while it powers up. It may say 'unload' or 'load' on the display after a few seconds. If it doesn't work, try letting your finger off the eject button at different times during power up, but press it again quickly whilst keeping your eye on the display. If not, you gotta get the outer casing off, which is easy and carefully try troubleshooting from there, which is not easy.
Great sound system.

did you sell it ? as they dont work for long
Yep, it was working great too. One of the few out there that seems to still work. I sold it for $145 (by mistake, because e-bay confused me).
