The Flower of Scotland, a piping classic!
For some reason this classic piping tune never found it's way into my repertoire as a young piper. Perhaps I'm too Canadian, eh? Then I joined a Celtic band, and everything changed, haha! When I heard the accordion's Flower of Scotland solo that pulled my heart into this tune.
Needless to say I've been playing Flower of Scotland on my smallpipes, Highland Pipes, Irish Whistles, and Uilleann Pipes ever since! The rest is history!
I hope you enjoy getting Flower of Scotland Bagpipe Ready as much as I did!
I'm excited to see ya in the next lesson!
    Happy piping!

Thanks. Really useful video. Just to add, there was a wonderful moment yesterday when Scotland faced Italy in Rome for a Six Nations match and the Pipers of Rome (in full Scottish dress) played this. Very sportsman like I thought.

@@GetBagpipeReady All of the bagpipe methods will work on Hurdy Gurdy, all we'd have to do is fine it to F/Bb which is basically G/C but a whole step lower.

Do you have a video that goes over a good practice chanter / first set of bagpipes? I bought a practice chanter and it was some type of horrible so now I'm scared to buy another one lol.

Unfortunately if you purchase a $20 practice chanter, made in Pakistan, from Amazon, it's not any good!
Any Bagpipe supply store online with customer service can sell you a Sheppard, Mcallum, RG Hardie, or Walsh practice chanter for $100 to $120.
Another option is you can get a $50 chanter from my friend Davey, made in the USA! Use the coupon code GETBAGPIPE5 to get 5% off and another 5% will go to the African Blackwood conservation Project! His chanters sound great and are a lot cheaper which helps if you are on a budget or saving up for a set of pipes!
