Thanks for sharing this rare look back, at this very special place. I was a performer there in the 80s and this sure makes me miss it. BUT, I guess the positive side is, we NOW have another Payless Shoes, Sunglasses Hut and Pretzel Shop, right where Opryland once stood. Great trade off.
Diamond Rio did most of the rock music at the shows at Opryland. I miss that place. I live near Opryland and it was a huge mistake getting rid of it. Thanks for sharing these videos
LOVE It! Lived it, Remember it and possibly this very show if I was working that day! :) I had such a massive crush back then on that girl singer Kim!!!! '-) I use to hear this show every day while across the walk path I was having a blast running the Rockin' Roller Coaster :))) Aaahhhh how I miss and will always cherish these good old days of Opryland USA!
many thanks for these Musicshow in the Opryland subject park. These are my recollections of the trip to Nashville to the fan Fair. I love America and the Countrymusic for over 50 years. Konstantin Rehm (Facebook)
@garyjenkinsmusic Gary!!!!!!! It's me, Tom, the drummer! (At least, I'm pretty sure that's me up there, unless Roger Shupe was subbing for me that day...)
You go young GaryJenkins!! You’ve got some moves! FYI...I was a junior in high school when this happened! It would be nice to go back to my skinnier days too!
I always thought the lead singer guy in the yellow shirt & overalls looked like Martin Short a little from a distance. lol =) Boy, where is me a time machine, I wanna go back & enjoy the great music they put out there at Opryland!
Crazy to think that the little girl that goes on the stage is 40+ yrs old now. I still can't believe that they turned this into a mall. The main guy reminds me of Kevin Bacon.
I juggled and did audience warm up for this show. Thanks for the memories. Kim always made it look like her favorite performance ever!
My cousin @GaryJenkinsMusic loved coming to this show getting us on stage

I didn't agree to ANY kind of trade !!
Mind blower Opryland sold those same products 😳🤔

When did they close that place down? I moved here, to Nashville, Dec of 1996. I never got to go there. It must have been right around then. Sad.
@@2028end Yeah, they closed in 94 or 95. I'm sorry you never got to experience it.

THIS WAS A GREAT SHOW AT OPRYLAND.....
The beginnings of Little Texas. Porter Howell on guitar and Duane Propes on bass.
@garyjenkinsmusic That's you? Awesome. Loved the show.
Oh my Lord....wish I was still that skinny.
Lol your hair!
Moving around like that on those humid hot days all summer long probably helped! Whew, it got so hot in that park.
@@JoeBoone82 Definitely! Ain't no weight getting on ya when you are moving around in that heat!! :)
Gosh, it must have been HOT in late July and August!!!

You dont happen to have any footage of the Way out West show from this year, do you?
I'm sorry, I don't think I do. I have some from an indoor show that was put on in the TNN studio, but I don't think it was called Way Out West.
spsimmons I think that was “I Hear America Singing”.
Tom! So great to hear from you! Hey, contact me on Facebook! My address is facebook.com/garyjenkins. Hope you are doing well!
Crowd is bored as shit!!!☝️☝️🤣🤣🤣
