Bellini: Norma Overture (but on a French C tuba this time!)

Okay, just finished uploading the ophicleide version of this same song. This is using my Wessex French C tuba, since I don't have a cimbasso (yet). I mean, it SAYS "Bombardon" so this is pretty close, eh?

Not sure if you've ever played this horn in an ensemble/orchestral setting, but I'm wondering how well you think it would blend with the rest of the trombone section? I suppose it'd work if your whole section were using narrow-bore horns but I wonder how it pairs up against large bore instruments for more modern rep?

@@appl7377 I don't know yet personally, but there's a great video series by a guy who did his dissertation on the French C tuba. If I'm lucky, I'll try to get away with playing it in the opera later this year.
