Stop Getting Caught with Guillotine Chokes (AI hijacks Ramsey's voice)

- I filmed this last year, and the audio was so bad, it was unusable. But instead of doing the reasonable thing and re-filming it, I waited for technology to catch up in order to use audio software to extract the almost unintelligible words from the original video, and dub it over with a computer generated surfer dude voice.
So, what's the video actually about? How to not get choked out by fixing your posture. This a an extremely common problem for beginner grapplers in BJJ, MMA, and every submission grappling combat sport. And it's a pretty simple problem to fix. - Спорт
The only time “Ramsey’s voice is fake” is a valid statement
Hajahahaha!
@@RamseyDeweyabsolutely love that one "j" in "hahah" 😂
@@tomo2807 shut up lol, spanish people write with js
get fightin. Face your fears!!! Have a good day tho when you read this. Give it a try.
@@DynamicGlove oook, I won't shut up and I know spanish people write jaja etc. though that's not the point as it was just visualy funny to me so I pointed it out...ps I'm already a fighter, so I really don't get why you commented this way
@@DynamicGloveAre you Tony Ferguson? Your comment felt like him
Finally, Ramsey's real voice is revealed!
My brother in Christ has been on the helium.
Standard Godzilla dub
“Get out there and frame”
The AI sounds like the Adoring Fan from Oblibion if he chainsmokes
"By azura,by azura, by azura, it's you!"
*gets blasted from highest mountain*
LOL
“Get out there fhn fraihth” is officially my new catch phrase lol
Thanks! This was actually a useful video, apart from being hilarious. I’m glad you could salvage it!
This reminds me of the old Kung Fu movies that were in subtitles where the dude’s voice didn’t match his body type at all. Lol!
I understood everything and it never sounded silly (once I got used to the extreme pitch change) It was wrong sometimes, but I could certainly follow everything. I Worried about my posture in takedowns, and now I feel like I have a better understanding of avoiding the guillotine. Thank you, helium Ramsey
"Keep your posture!", Ramsey said with his normal voice.
It sounded like "get out there and frame".
Ngl I burst out laughing when I first heard the AI voice 😂
Now it makes sense why I got guillotines all those years ago on the white belts!
90s PBS cartoon ramesy was something
I had no idea how much I appreciated your voice until this moment.
Thank you for the great advice!
The voice was entertaining, I can understand not wanting to use it again though.
It is nice to have options, like not getting choked out due to broken posture, or at least standing a better chance.
Hope you're having a nice day.
Best coaching tip, ever! Look to the HEAVENS!❤❤
There is only one coach Ramsey Dewey
This is actually his real voice, the other one we're used to hearing is digitally altered
I almost spit my cofee when that surfer A.I started talking , it's mesmerizing
Going in my judo playlist along with my favorite throws and stuff. Gotta keep my head up and not telegraph my makikomi's by looking at the feet
😂😂😂Was it me or was that surfer dude Dan Severn after getting kicked in the nuts? Either way another gold video 💯
Expecting a full Vtuber conversion inside the next 6 months. Ramsey just needs to find an anime avtar that works
I don’t even know what that means.
@@RamseyDeweyI think he’s expecting you to have a virtual cartoon mascot of yourself to be put into videos, and act as you commentating.
@@alfaeri2143 oh… those guys are called V-tubers? What does the V stand for?
@@RamseyDeweyi imagine virtual?
@@theBestInvertebrate what this guy said coach
4:39 Charles Oliveira is great at breaking posture or exploiting momentary weak postures in surprisingly many positions, so only sharp wrestlers stand a chance up close.
This used to happen to me all the time. Now its not as often as i either look up or move my body to the opposite side of the hold 😂
Oh my god this is so funny. Its so jarring compared to your deep voice. Michael Ironside's voice matches yours better imo. This AI voice sounds familiar too.
Lol, ya that was an interesting voice over. I can personally admit that my choke defense was atrocious when I first started rolling with bjj players on their open mat days. It really is a thing of practicing something enough, and not just knowing it. Like brock Lesnar getting caught with Frank Mirs knee bar. He mentioned how he practiced escaping it hundreds of times, but just couldn't do it at that moment. I on the other hand I didn't practice escaping a hundred times, but certainly knew them, they just weren't very natural for me to go to at the time. Our sambo was taught to us by a guy that learnt fairly authentic sambo, so going for the neck wasnt a thing. Yet the odd time we would still practice a choke and it's defense, but it just wasn't routine enough, so for the most part, we were very careless and worry free of our neck line. To this day offensively I'll still have a guy wondering what the heck I'm doing when I take his back, and don't even attempt to go for a rnc lol. Instead I'll try sneak a hammer lock in, or try set something else up. I blame it on my arms, but I'm pretty sure it's just that I'm doing something wrong and not getting enough practice in. I had mentioned neck cranks in a different comment and how some people perceive them as wrongful or something, but they are very underutilized in my opinion. A friend of mine, that's always been pretty decent at ne waza, has really been taking alot from catch wrestling, atleast I'm guessing, from what iv seen online with some guys, and he's had alot of success with them. The thing that's unique about neck cranks and chokes is that they work well against larger and stronger opponents. I can confirm that because I'm the larger, stronger opponent getting caught in them. In the right position a person can have alot of options. I'm not a bad grappler either. It's just that I still make mistakes, and an experienced grappler capitalizes on it, and in the right position, a head crank or choke seems to be most optimal. With a regular guillotine choke, sometimes I'll just Tank Abott out of it and just push my way out of it. With a neck crank, you can't do that, and I highly advise nobody to ever try do that. limbs though, I love the counters to armbars, and Limb attacks seem to be more easily defended by someone bigger and stronger. I rarely get armbarred. In my hobbiest opinion, neck cranks, as salty as their reputation is for some reason, are a very underutilized and underappreciated submission catagory.
I'm going to assume by looking at the thumbnail it's something to do with harnessing energy of the universe.
It’s actually just looking in an upward direction.
Great video though
This is so goofy xD . Sounds like a cartoon character .
I know! Hahaha!
So cursed I love it! LOL Tha was actually pretty descent for AI.
voice reveal
Edit: someone else is definitely going to use your voice with ai, might as well take advantage of that lol
There must be an AI voice pack of Ramsey by now
Coach! If I'm not mistaken you have claimed in the past that wrestling is our natural way of fighting and that punches are unnatural because they risk doing permanent damage to both parties. Well, I'm not so sure anymore. I just saw one of my cats attack the other one in a not so friendly manner. She first threw her down flat to the ground and then followed up with two quick left hooks to the body. I don't mean swipes, I don't mean overhands, I don't mean with claws. I mean legitimate left hooks, and judging by the sound of the impact they also had real power behind them.
After those punches she walked away, having made her point.
On one hand I am of course saddened by my cats fighting, but on the other hand I just watched my cat throw a better left hook than many other people I've seen try it.
So basically, sleeping with multiple pillows every night trains my neck to pull forward, which will get me choked out. MMA taking away all the comforts of life!
Speak like that in any fight situation and you won't need to use your Vulcan nerve pinch.
It sounds like an AI Dragon Ball character
I've gotten pretty good at defending chokes reasonably. Usually I get caught in joint locks or neck cranks by beginners. The cranks usually do catch me by surprise cuz i least expect those.
I was in a jujitsu class for the first time in over a yr, and I definitely got beat up, but I could still hold my own mostly and only got caught by joints, cranks, or 1 knee on belly can opener(pushed the air out of my lungs more than a choke or crank).
Hey Ramsey I was wondering if you could do a breakdown of the Don Frye vs Yoshihiro Takayama Pride fight. Are they really just punching each other with no intelligent strategy or Is there something more technical going on that I simply cant see? Thank you in advance
This older Ramsey video might give you some insight. At 4:56 Frye vs Takayama is mentioned : ruclips.net/video/7vEBX0MLJrY/видео.htmlsi=gy1aAdZVQHG963rt
Basically, no intelligent strategy
I thought I was watching the Wizard of Oz in the MMA world .
Wow! LOL... Ai made RD's voice sound just like me! LOL
Really?
Raaaaaaaamsey.... Have you been fooling us all this time!?! Is surfer dude your ACTUAL REAL VOICE?!?
Mwahahahahaha!
The voice was odd but entertaining
almost sounded like joe pesci without an accent
I'm all about that base, no treble! The voice was fun, but ramsay you have a highly pleasant million dollar radio host voice and dubbing it should be made illegal! I know that you've dealt with some insecurity regarding your voice and while i haven't really followed that story i'm sure you've heard lots of nasty comments, because that is what happens when you've got someting that a lot of people wish they had instead!
Amazing! How much work did you have to do to get that result?
which result?

Next will you use an anime voice? 😂
Where did you find Casey Jones?!
