For 350 it is selling right now it would’ve made a lot bigger impact.. competing tr-8S with the launch price and being stuck with the analog sounds, not so much. Unless you really like the sound of those for the asking price.
@@2MinuteWarning I was considering Drumlogue for my ultimate Bad Gear setup but I just feel too strongly about the 8S. It's Roland, I'm sure Florian will destroy it some day 😂
Thanks a lot for your kind words Jay! Must say that I wasn't planning to get the Drumlogue as I really liked all the specifications on paper, however when I finally heard it on YT, must say that it didn't correspond much to the sounds I like. However opportunity making a thief, I finally got one and managed to come up with some quite interesting result it seems ☺
@@2MinuteWarning I felt the same way, loved it on paper and then watched a ton of videos and then didn't buy it,watched your video and was like up, add to cart. You are showcasing the kind of sound design I want to do with one! I think it will excel at whatI want out of it. Even though vastly different than say DFAM, I think it's similar in that it's not an everyman kinda instrument and it doesn't work for all sounds and styles but I suspect it will be great for my music.
@@2MinuteWarning I've only had a few hours with it so far but intial thoughts are I do not like where they have the parameters set on thir sounds, so I am slowly going throughand editing all the kits. @@24framemedia With "parameters set on their sounds", do you mean the presets' sounds? If yes, indeed for my taste, it surely needs some tweaking to get the sounds I like 😊 However don't know if it is because of its workflow or the UI, the patterns I've been making so far on the Drumlogue were either sounding "industrial" or more "experimental hip-hop" 😅
Thanks for your comment 😃 Actually the bass is the kick sound with a long decay (changing the pitch of the bass was quite tricky, but I somehow manage to do approximately the job for 2 minutes 😅)
@@2MinuteWarning Indeed. :) I like really much the kick/bass of MS20 from volca kick for example, but i don't know if it's possible to reproduce it on this machine (i would like). ^^' Whatever, i will try it. It's so powerful, and bassy i think
@@metaphoricalsoundeffects1400 Oh yes I see, I've been hesitating about getting the volca kick but was finally quite reasonable 😅 I'd be glad to know if you managed getting the sound you are looking for with the Drumlogue 😉
Thanks Dr. Kellen! It's a cool and quite versatile drum machine indeed 👌 I really like the hybrid engine (analog and digital parts), the individual outputs, the synth part, the powerful sequencer (automation, probability, note shift etc.) However I'm a bit less fan of how the analog kick and snare sound and some menu diving due to the small form factor.
Thanks 😃 Indeed there's quite a lot which have been put in such a small device (4 analog & 6 digital tracks, individual outputs, automation, probability, effects, SDK 🤩). However if I'd had to choose between my drum machines, I don't think that the Drumlogue would get on the podium mainly because I'm not a big fan of how the analog parts sound (only a matter of taste here), the fact that you need to do some menu diving and feedback on the recorded automation which is not easily accessible 😅
Thanks Matthew, really glad my jam comforted you on your choice of getting one! It really is a nice drum machine with a lot of cool features (I'm just not a too big fan of the sounding of its analog parts - but it's just a matter of taste 😊)
This is a total noob question but these two are the first analog hardware synths I’m going to buy-how do I actually like, connect these together so I can hear what I’m doing in real time? An analog mixer? A usb interface into my DAW?
Thanks for your comment! 😀 The price has dropped a lot since I bought it. At the present price, it really is a versatile and powerful drum machine (analog and digital engines, individual outputs, automation, effects, etc.) 👍
The Drumlogue is an interesting Drum Machine (though I think I prefer my TR-6S! Actually I think that the ideal drum machine for me, could be a mix of the Drumlogue and TR-6S/8S 😅)
I don't have the Drumlogue in front of me so I won't be able to say exactly, but as far as I remember, I think you must use the COMPRESSOR on the master and use the SIDECH knob of a track to trigger the ducking.
If only Korg had of had more of these for their demos! Reminds me of some old hard electro stuff from Fadgadget or even shades of the original Being Boiled. Nice.

This is very cool. Whenever, I come here, it’s very happy to see a Jam with the new synths. By the way, I made a mistake to delete your comment on my previous video. 😅😅. Yes, I got the Matriarch and I love it. Comparing to GM, it is much more interesting to do sound design with more knobs. 😆😆
Hey thanks my friend! So happy you enjoyed this one too 😃 (and glad you got hold of a Matriarch too! Indeed it is a very interesting synth for sound design, thanks to its 90 modular patch points. 🤩)
Drumlogue gon' get more recognition now that Korg did some damage control and cut the price in half. Should have done it from the get go but hey, we are here now. For 350 Drumlogue is very good. There's no bad gear, just a bad prices.
I do agree 😉 (was too expensive when I bought it 😅 even if it really has some very cool features: analog and digital engines, 4 outputs, automation, customizable synth etc.)
