Modern takes on classic lighting such as Tiffany would be one I would love to watch. I like the modern take on the older styles, the totally modern lighting just looks wrong in my home and I will be replacing them all when I can afford to.
Well I am really happy to hear this because I'm decorating a new home in a sort of combination of English cottage... And I didn't know anybody else was doing that. Lol I'm very into gardening and will be surrounded by perennial beds, dwarf, fruit trees, herbs, Life is good😊❤
Yes, so true, your trend alerts are always ahead of the rest of the interior designers’ videos. Goodbye to all white…yes!!! English design!! Yes, beauty & sophistication 🤩. Like the sound of “everlasting style.” Like you ⭐️
I tried it once. The views weren’t great even though lighting is a cornerstone in great design regardless of what the design commentators are saying is in or out. It won’t look great without appropriate lighting which is part of the science of interior design. I may try again.
I am changing our door hardware out from awful old chrome to an oil rubbed bronze, but my husband thought changing the hinges out as well just wasn’t necessary. OMG! YES IT IS! I won, but I just don’t know why he would think it didn’t matter. Raised by wolves, I guess. 😂
Red has always been my favourite colour, especially in fashion, and about ten years ago I decided to try it as an accent in my home. I find it funny that just as I'm massively minimising the amount of red in my interiors, to almost non existent, it's becoming more popular in homes. I'll definitely tune in to your video all about lighting ❤
I love English interiors. I have a camelback sofa and a mahogany secretary in my LR. Have had them since the early ‘90s. I used to have swags and jabots on the windows but changed those out for drapes hung all the way up to the crown molding. That was my big update 😂
In our previous house, the “right” rug sizes for a couple of rooms were no where near standard, so we bought high quality solid color carpet and had it bound. There were 2 different options, at different prices, but both looked good. DA Burns, in Seattle, of that helps anyone 😊
I am loving the revival of my favorite style of interior design-English cottage. Also, my first home was shades of red and green with yellow on the walls and dark wood. It was really great.
I like sustainability. And I definitely would love to see your next video on lighting. ❤Merry Christmas to you and your husband Garrett! And your family!Arden included ❤
💡Yes, please do a lighting video. I'm currently obsessed with having multiple plug in candle lights on in every dark corner for the Autumn/Winter seasons. I love a soft wash of light on the floor. I'm excited about tonal spaces and Ralph Lauren was a huge influence/inspiration for my recent bedroom refresh.
Hello, @Garrett LeChic, always a pleasure to hear your design thoughts, & enjoy your intriguing photo examples! Would love to see a lighting video, especially one that explores the use of vintage & antique lights!🥰 Many thanks for sharing your insights. You are much appreciated! 🙏🌿💐🌿😊💚😘🌿💐🌿🙏
I will surely welcome the video you talk about making. I also want to tell you that I like your positive attitude- You always seem to understand that not everyone has money to have the luxurious solutions, and you give other, more affordable ones, and in such a nice way. All good wishes from us in Sweden!
I love all your videos and you and Arden! I've been wanting to get a solid rug and an English inspired desk. Thank you, I'm ordering today! Yes to a lighting video. Specifically, how to coordinate lamps and fixtures without matching them. And, you and Arden do look alike. That's a compliment. 🙂
This is such a wonderful topic, that You have chosen today: Red in all the hues of a pomegranate..from burgundy over apple-red to even faded rose.....accented with ivory and a bit of sage ....can be calming and elegant.....complementing the wood-tones of english furnitures very well!!! Or green , lighter and darker in tone....mixed with a bit of red accents and ivory!!!!Complimented by classic-styled lamps....like in Tiffany- style....in the right shade of colour.....or in brass or silver....are very elegant ! The English style even mixes brass-lamps with a lot of silver photo- frames, or other silver-( plated) items, like figurines, vases or candle-sticks.....and it looks luxurious..and comfortable at the same time,..even or especially...if not everything is brand- new! That makes it worth the investion....and it never goes out of style!!!
@GarrettLeChic You showed us the lovely way, how You mix antiques with China-Blue.....I just could not help myself, telling how wonderfully English Furnitures are accentuated with Red and Green!!! Yellow, Black and White with a little Lavender is another possibility....I will stop myself now..:)
Garrett your great I’ve been watching for a very long time love your style and advice I would love to see some of your own work if you have ever taken photos. Thanks. And if you book an appointment is it with you or another designer
Thanks for such an excellent video! Yes, on the lighting video! I'll have to choose soon for island lights and over the sink pendants that will be in front of a large window. Wondering what would be best to choose!
thanks for another awesome video! you are so good at explaining interior design concepts and how to achieve certain styles. I love the quiet luxury idea.. and yes yes yes to a lighting video. getting light right in a space is difficult (at least for me). cheers!
I would love a lighting video! It’s been hard to pick the proper fixtures and lamp placements. Also, some tips about what kind of fixtures go where would help. I’m currently stuck bc I have a recessed light I want to replace w a pendant light but I don’t know if my ceiling can physically handle that weight. Also, this may be a reach, but if you know anything about explaining what you should NOT replace on your own that would be good. My job involves some electrical work so I feel comfortable replace light fixtures, but not every one will
I definitely advise people hire experienced and licensed electricians and plumbers to start, and not to do it yourself. I really prefer work be done by highly qualified licensed contractors and artisans. I’m not a diy person and it’s easy for diy to go wrong or not look professional in the end, and safety issues could be big if a lay person is not really experienced in what they are attempting to do.
Yes, I would love to a video about lighting. Do you and Arden look alike, hmm.. both are cute, cuddly and darling and both are fun to watch! 👍🏼🤷♀️🤗🍁🥰🇨🇦
Funny how your predictions are usually correct….i just read where bronze makes your house look dated …. And of course I listen to you first….lol yes you 2 look alike haha thanks for sharing ❤
Has been in love with the English countryside style for so long but I listened to the joiner when renovating and i'm stuck with high gloss white modern kitchen cabinets. Wish I discovered you years before I did 💔 great video nonetheless!
Yes, I would love a lighting episode. My home was built in 1940 and there is no overhead light in the living room so lamps are very important. But what style? I have a mish mash now and need to make changes so it doesn’t look like I got everything at a yard sale.
Yes to solid rugs! However, if anyone really loves the look of a Turkish rug and can do with a lightweight version of it then the best option is to get import a rug from India. We got a good deal a couple of decades ago: two full-size Turkish style Indian rugs that were as thin as we needed so we could use them year round, and we got them for less than fifty dollars. It might cost you a thousand dollars now to do the same thing, especially the farther north you buy from because India is India, but it's still a very cost-effective option for getting the look in quality materials for less.
I’ve been wanting to book a consultation with you since you first started offering them. I’m definitely booking on now during your special. It’ll be for myself & my daughter who lives with me with her 4 year old non verbal autistic 😢 son. I want to book towards the end of your special so she has more time to declutter!! This is a surprise for her for Christmas & I’m so excited Garrett for this opportunity to have your help!! Thank you so much for offering not only your service but the special you’re offering! I’m a huge fan of you, I love all the practical advice you shared! Thank you for being you! ❤
That sounds awesome! You can book anytime up to November 17 to take advantage of the sale, but when you select a date during the booking process it will allow you to select a consultation date and time up to 60 days out. All available times you see are already shown in your time zone. 😊😊😊
Good Evening Garrett, Thank you for the trendy vlog😍 Yes I totally agree, you are far ahead and class apart when it comes to Interior Designing♥️ I really loved it. It’s exciting to know about the future and the trends. It seems it’s more classic so thou it’s a trend it will be well received :) Just a quick question, I might sound naive😬, in that vintage inspired lighting section what was that black box on the wall with the wires/socket leading upwards? Yes me too brass person, though as you said bronze is good too but not my vibe. Oh my anytime I will watch you and light mistakes oh la la l, am in honey 😍 Awww Arden is so cute just like you, genuine and warm ♥️ Hugs to both of you🥰🤗
@ Hi Garrett, all good, thank you. Mid life crisis 😬so few days bit low on energy hence a little slow on catching up, please don’t mind🥰 You too have a lovely weekend and hear from you soon..xx
Yes! ❤Will watch any series you post: lighting, paint, color, mod trad style/ how to update a trad aesthetic and bring into the year 2025, small home series, designing around quality base layers, condo series, marrying/】 melding the styles of the building envelope and your interior, etc. okay sorry I'm done.
I’m so glad you are enjoying the content!😊 Please take a moment to support the channel if you haven’t already and become part of our very valued subscriber family.
Lighting yes yes YES i need this as im trying to explain to my electrician husband it doesn't have to look like a hospital he doesn't get the concept of layered Lighting
@ yes! Have just caught up! Got waylaid with a vomiting child (he’s a submariner, not so much a child, but my child)! Keep up the good work. I am subscribed… and in England, so I feel I get the trends watching your channel before they land here! And I love that for me! 😘
What about Colonial American design? I just bought candle sconces from the Colonial Williamsburg Museum online shop. I also got Xmas decorations from the Monticello Museum shop.
I rent. All my walls are Navajo White. I did my bedroom in aquamarine with a Magritte butterfly hot air balloon vibe and blood orange red accents. It's a touch of red without overpowering it.😊😊😊
I would love an in depth video about lighting! With Christmas just around the corner, I see so many content creator videos about decorating for the holidays, and the lighting is awful. Especially the led lighting. The white lights are blindingly bright, and the multi-color lights are weirdly glowing ( think area 51, lol), and the colors are definitely different from the red, blue, greens, etc., from the past. It's all very harsh, totally eliminating the charm and coziness. Add to that the room lighting being led and bright enough to be in a hospital surgery, and it's literally painful to my eyes. I love the traditional multi colored lights and every year it gets harder and harder to find the incandescent lights, whether they are C7''s, or mini lights. I have, with your advice, replaced all the light bulbs in my table lamps and overhead lighting with 2700k led bulbs, even finding that for my 3 way bulbs. I've added dimmers to all my overhead lighting as well. The change is dramatic! My rooms are warm and inviting, but bright enough to read in. Where I need a lot of light, like in the kitchen, the recessed and pendant lighting are all on dimmers. I really hated all the cold harsh lighting in my house, but now I couldn't be happier! Now if only the Christmas lighting industry could come up with a solution!
Oh, lighting... I just moved, and far more offensive than the early 2000s faux tuscan light fixtures were the 5000k light bulbs in EVERY SINGLE ONE. I had forgotten how miserable the wrong lighting can make a place feel.
How can I find the area rug shown in your video "My Top 2025 Interior Design Trends for a Beautiful Home!", time stamp 10:52, Red. Burgundy, Americana? You may remember I am redoing my family room because I had a consult. It is coming along...slowly.
Hi Lisa! I’m so sorry I don’t have that information. You may want to show the picture to some carpet stores to see if they have it or something close to it.
You’re in good company. My maltipoo has more of a poodle face than Maltese. We look alike, too. If I were in a Snoop Dogg video….Yes, I would be the poodle.😂
I believe its a custom color match of an archival paint, I’d start with some historic color collections (most brands have them) and test out some whites. They read differently in everyone’s home depending on lighting, best of luck!
What about really REALLY textured walls? We have a 1920s bungalow with heavy....hawk and trowel(?) texture/plaster with 9 foot, seamless, COVED ceilings, and lots of windows 🤗 dark and moody colors are pretty much a no go for us, right??
Every space and situation is different. Interior design and decorating is very visual. I’d have to see the space to be useful to you and provide intelligent opinions regarding your specific situation. I invite you to do a virtual consultation with me. In fact, we are having a sale right now to celebrate my birthday month. Please see the description section of the video for details. Bookings can be made at intro.co/garrettlechic
I think it's part cuteness, part large eyes and part high-contrast: for you contrast between your skin and your dark hair/eyes, for Arden it's black vs. white fur.
Can I take a bet on trends? Just based on something I saw at a design showcase a couple weeks ago: banquettes. Maybe I’m just noticing because we’ve been trying to design a banquette to fit an awkward space of our house. But I swear to god every designer had some kind of banquette-style seating area on display.
@@GarrettLeChic heyyy, I just saw this is the first thing you mention in your newest video! And I popped back here to make sure I really had commented this! I feel so on trend 💁♀️
Please do the lighting video and include info on where to acquire light fixtures that are bright not LED or at the very minimum not incredibly depressing and dismally faded.
I don't like chandler's or dangling lights .I always prefer spot lights . Maybe one or two standing floor lamps and one or two table lamps but not more than this . I don't understand the science of how to distribute light in the house , but once I got annoyed by an interior designer who tried to force dangling lights in my kitchen
💡 A lighting video would be lovely, Dahling... of course we would love that! 😊
Modern takes on classic lighting such as Tiffany would be one I would love to watch. I like the modern take on the older styles, the totally modern lighting just looks wrong in my home and I will be replacing them all when I can afford to.
same here!
I like your idea
So happy to see classic design come back. Against popular opinions, I never gave up my top quality classic pieces.
Well I am really happy to hear this because I'm decorating a new home in a sort of combination of English cottage... And I didn't know anybody else was doing that. Lol I'm very into gardening and will be surrounded by perennial beds, dwarf, fruit trees, herbs, Life is good😊❤
I notice your Cavalier…..the sweetest dogs on earth!
He’s a great boy!🐶🐶
Beautiful dog.

Lighting video would be fantastic!
Lighting videos are always welcomed
Would love a lighting dos and don'ts video!
I tried it once. The views weren’t great even though lighting is a cornerstone in great design regardless of what the design commentators are saying is in or out. It won’t look great without appropriate lighting which is part of the science of interior design. I may try again.
My mom loves all varieties of classic English design, so I grew up with it. It’s a little heavy for my tastes… but I admit to loving the wallpapers
Yes, a lighting video!! By all means because it is so important in how your home looks and feels.
Red has always been my favourite colour, especially in fashion, and about ten years ago I decided to try it as an accent in my home. You can often find a remnant at a carpet store and do the same (have it bound). We have great luck finding wool carpets that way.
Looking forward to your lighting video.
Yes for a lighting video, please!
Hi Garrett. Would definitely watch your lighting 💡 video! Also, Arden is a such a pleasant surprise. Love when he makes a cameo. 🐕
I’m obsessed w/lamps soooo yes! Think it stems from my light sensitivity and wanting AD mag when in elementary school cuz of the design. 😂
I am loving the revival of my favorite style of interior design-English cottage. Also, my first home was shades of red and green with yellow on the walls and dark wood. It was really great.

Hey! Thanks for the shout-out for Nicholas Fairford! I adore his channel, too. Both of you give such nuanced perspectives in your content.
thanks for another awesome video! you are so good at explaining interior design concepts and how to achieve certain styles. I love the quiet luxury idea.. and yes yes yes to a lighting video. getting light right in a space is difficult (at least for me). cheers!

I’m glad you are enjoying the videos. I wish I was there for you years ago. I’m here now!
Yes, I would love a lighting episode. My home was built in 1940 and there is no overhead light in the living room so lamps are very important. But what style? I have a mish mash now and need to make changes so it doesn’t look like I got everything at a yard sale.
A lighting video would be wonderful!
Could you please make a video about how to pick ceiling lights? It’s so difficult. 😅
I would like to see a window treatment video. Including the 2 story wall of windows. We are building a timber frame/craftsman style home in the woods,
Yeah, new video. Always welcomed.
Yes to the lighting video
Yes to solid rugs! However, if anyone really loves the look of a Turkish rug and can do with a lightweight version of it then the best option is to get import a rug from India. We got a good deal a couple of decades ago: two full-size Turkish style Indian rugs that were as thin as we needed so we could use them year round, and we got them for less than fifty dollars. It might cost you a thousand dollars now to do the same thing, especially the farther north you buy from because India is India, but it's still a very cost-effective option for getting the look in quality materials for less.

Even my dog is decorating my house. He fluffs my blankets and chews holes in them
🤣🤣🤣
Red is a great color in small doses but not burgundy walls.
I don't know but you are both adorable so perhaps you and Arden look similar.
I think it's part cuteness, part large eyes and part high-contrast: for you contrast between your skin and your dark hair/eyes, for Arden it's black vs. white fur.
Thank you!😊🐶
You and Arden do look a bit alike. That is such a compliment because Arden is so damn cute!
😊😊😊
Can I take a bet on trends? Just based on something I saw at a design showcase a couple weeks ago: banquettes.
Maybe I’m just noticing because we’ve been trying to design a banquette to fit an awkward space of our house. But I swear to god every designer had some kind of banquette-style seating area on display.
Yes! I totally agree. Love a banquet and so does my husband.
Interesting comment. I’m assuming you are not subscribed and don’t have notifications on as I posted a lighting video today.
Kitchens are hard because everyone has a different drem. Seen kitchens gutted that are beautiful when a new owner comes in.

If you get a dark solid rug you will be vacuuming every day
Yes, Arden looks like his daddy. It’s the auburn & porcelain dahling 🐶 😉
👍👍👍
I don't like solid colored rugs. They just kind of look like a piece of carpet to me.
