They now have a drum and bass playthrough of this song. Apparently filmed at the Ogden Theater in Denver Colorado while 15 of us were waiting to get in to the VIP meet and greet before the show. As easy as it is to hear the bass in this video, you really hear a lot of detail in the playthrough. Their newest song is called "Green Serpent" which is an exceptional song. One of their best.

Great to hear someone giving Tatiana props for the depth & quality of work she does with vocals & lyrics. The fact that she is handed a finished demo of the melodically & rhythmically complex music from the lads, then she has to come up with a theme, write the lyrics in Russian, translate them into English, fettle those so that they fit syllable-wise & rhyme, decide which passages are to be sung & which growled/screamed, then create lead vocal melody line (& matching harmony/counterpoint vocal lines).... I'm getting tired just typing this! LOL So for someone with zero formal training to be able to come up with such high quality creation & performance across multiple albums & tours is truly remarkable imho.
Anyhoo, having said that, I'm just happy that I shouldn't have to wait much longer to buy another Jinjer album!! :)

I think that they are what they are in musical terms exactly because they have no formal training, it's all about how their music feels and sounds to them. And before you reply "but Vlad has formal training!", he composes mainly on guitar, so I don't think his formal piano training gets much use in their composition process. 😄

Jinjer takes the listener on a journey for sure. Weaving in vocal melodies at times with polly rhythmic music is an art. Oh, so satisfying for us who dig progressive music. This tune is another "through composition" form this amazing band. 🤘 💙💛

It's amazing how after only a few listenings of this song all the hooks are "living rent free in my head". The same happened with Vortex. Not only they're changing the songwriting formulas but also making it work. 🙂

The rest of the band do "act" in some of their other videos. You will see as you watch more of them.

IMO you couldn't have had a better introduction to Jinjer than with the video that was released shortly before: Audiotree From Nothing, where you could also get to know the band from their very personal side.........
Roman, Eugene and Vlad are not actors, but first and foremost world-class musicians, and Tati is the Famme Fatale in Jinjer in the best sense of the word and in my opinion that's enough for 2 bands ;-))
warm greetings from the german musician

Why would you highlight the band more when the song is about empowered women.?
