Thanks for checking out Negative Spaces! I'm very curious now to hear your reaction to her EP EAT (NXT Soundtrack), a heavy project she self-produced.

I think it’s just the way I hear music as a 34 year old that makes me not agree with the hype over her sound, like if I was in highschool a couple years ago means everything thats happening now was happening to the late teens early twenties version of me like all the fans of if it right now I’d probably like it, but context of life and everything you’ve heard leading up to a thing that you have to compare it to effects the way you hear it and when I hear her music it’s boring, it’s using too many gimmicks that were invented as a reaction to the previous but the previous has already successfully created pure melody at the top, and now if melody itself is the thing that needs to be reacted to, we have things like whole songs revolving around odd guitar effects like pulling the strings on the head or something and it’s like cool, I get it, but it doesn’t actually have a satisfying sequence of notes in my opinion
