- Kirby Star Allies released a few weeks ago, and I have been loving it! I've been a big fan of Kirby since I played Kirby: Squeak Squad back in... 2007, I think? (Kind of late to the party - I know)
Anyways, I decided to make a list of my Top Ten Kirby Copy Abilities as of the release of Kirby Star Allies. My list contains my own favorites, but I would love to know what abilities you guys like! Leave a comment with your own favorites!

I love Suplex. Just the careful, grab oriented combat, with great invincibility frames, a nice dash, and a down kick. It's like a combo of fighter and base kirby, where you can smack the enemy some, but mainly wait for stars or other grab-ables to then deal a load of damage.
My favorite Copy ability is the
Copy Ability. You know the one where Kirby can inhale other Enemies and replicate their powers
Do you know there is legit an actual copy ability Kirby has called Copy? Kirby wears a visor and scans his foes to copy their abilities. Redudant? Yes? Useless? Not at all :D

My favorite is door Kirby. He uses it when he walks through a door.

I absolutely love UFO.
They finally allowed you to go through ladders and platforms in Planet Robobot, and I can't wait to use it again in future games when they add it again. Having a Kirby amiibo lets me use it at any point I want.
I loved the Spider ability. Allows you to space out bosses while doing chip damage. Also turns enemies into cocoons. And you can slam them into other enemies.
When almost no one in the chat acknowledges Spider...
Seriously, I love that ability, it's fun to bounce around and you look adorable while doing it with your cute little hat!
I love the unloved mirror ability. It is strong, fast, and over al fun! You can dish out heavy damage by creating Kirby’s combos, have some nice speed which can help you attack quicker, and just feeling the strength makes it fun to play as, with all the combos for the air, ground, and not yet sea. Also, with it Kirby’s shield deflects projectiles too, so that is a plus! I hope to see mirror in future games, and if it is something like star allies, it is an element or a weapon that is upgraded with elements!

5: Spear, very versatile and the helicopter is really fun XD
4: UFO, the same reasons as you mentioned
3: Spider, looks cool, many different attacks, just great!
2: Needle, quite underrated but I like the way it shoots the needles in all direction when you shake the wii controller and the overall look
1: Mirror, I almost forgot about this ability but I saw it in Kirby Robobot Planet and fell in love with it again just like I did in Kirby Superstar! I really like the attacks, especially the one where you split in two kirby reflections.

Its a mix between Wheel, and U.F.O, they are really fun abilities and able to go trough levels faster and they are really destructive and pow through enemies much faster, but to be honest, throw is a really fun ability

5: Ice. I really love skating around :3
4: Hammer, for all the same reasons you listed in this video XD
3: Fire. I like how you can chose how far and in what direction you breathe the fire. I also like the fire dash (i don't remember the name) Which reminds me of the fireball/burning abilities from older games.
2: ESP. I like being able to control this ball of plasma anywhere you want, it's really useful for taking out multiple enemies in one blow, and the teleportation is also very useful.
1: I couldn't chose between these two, so i'll make them both 1 XD Mirror and Archer. Mirror is great because you can make copies of yourself to attack hard to reach enemies, and can send enemies' projectiles right back at them (Anime reference huehue TwT) Plus the dash is really fun, kinda like the ice skating. Archer is cool because you can aim wherever you need to to hit faraway enemies or other things, and can even charge up the arrows. I also like it because crouching puts up a cover for Kirby to hide behind that makes him invulnerable to literally any attack (Except for the final shockwaves from Star Dream Soul OS in Robobot's True Arena, learned that the hard way ;w;) The cover is really useful if you suck at dodging, like me :3

I would say that beam is the most iconic ability (imo) but other than that great video
I really like Stone. It may be simple, but crashing down onto enemies like a ton of bricks is just fun for me. I really like those kinds of meteor-type attacks. It's for similar reasons that I love superheroes with density manipulation or size changing abilities.
My first Kirby game was Epic Yarn, and my personal favorites for copy abilities are Mirror and Rock

4.leaf,was a very fun ability,sadly I never got to play as leaf Kirby much,hope it reappears so I can play with it more
Suplex is underrated. It's tons of fun to use it and Bugzzy is awesome.
My favorite move is smash bros. A lesser known attack based on Kirby's smash 4 move set that appeared when falling in a hole in planet robobot. It was really amazing when I fell down into the void, thinking I was dead, and all of the sudden I see a pedastool with a copy ability named Smash Bros. The chances of finding it is kinda hard, unless you decide to watch a video to get it.

I know this is using copy abilities from star allies but I'm a 90s kid so I say master kirby is the best plus u can only get it when u complete the game so it's valuable
I like a lot of Kirby's abilities, but my favourite is beetle. I also really like suplex ability.
7:00 Parasol Twirl is extremely broken. Like you’ve mentioned, this move gives you i-frames, but it also has insane damage output, making the Parasol ability almost as broken as the Dream Friends. 7:07 In this scenario, spamming the Parasol Twirl close to Whispy will absolutely destroy him in a matter of seconds. What makes Parasol Twirl even more broken is that you can move left and right slightly while performing this move. This is useful during boss fights as it allows you to position yourself to somewhere safe after the i-frames run out. All of these attributes make the Parasol ability amazing for beating Soul Melter EX solo.

Smash ability is so iconic, it's the main ability Kirby uses when he participates in smash bros
I think for me my top 5 kirby abilities are:
Beetle, cuz it's just pretty violent looking
Sword (The later one) because it has a hat, resembeling that of Link and it's just so fun to use
Fighter, cuz you can make uppercuts and basically a Hadouken
Wheel, because mobility
and finally
Ghost, cuz it's basically Cappy before it was cool
remember when you started playing kirby's adventure and was given sword, and you thought that since it was the first ability, it was bad. we never knew how it really is the best.

My personal favorite copy ability is parasol. I am someone who played a lot of Kirby Battle Royale, and in that game you can't actually block (at least I don't think you can) and parasol shield is essential because while shielding you can block,* move, and charge your special all at the same time. I know not every game is like Kirby Battle Royale, but since using parasol so much in that game I have kind of adjusted to that type of fighting style.

My TOP 1 favorite copy ability is ICE because I realy like the design and the moves the it uses are very cool!
Mirror is my favorite, just because it's so unique, and swords my second just because it offers mobility and something to use underwater, so needless to say, I would be at home with dark metaknight.
my top 6 have got to be
6- Bomb - a nerd would say something about trajectory but I just like blowing things up and it's very practical for ranged fighting. didn't blow any charts on practicality though.
5- Mirror - though i'm sad not to have it in Star Allies, Mirror was voted the best copy ability by the public, and so it is my 3ds background still. no, dark meta knight doesn't count.
4- Artist - While not the most practical ability, it looks hella cute, and the little sprites you conjure out of a canvas- aww! you can even heal teammates with it, what's not to love?
3- Ninja - Probably my most used fighting ability. Very practical, but spamming the b button really leaves a mark. It has a hidden potential.
2- Spear - I MISS IT SO BAD! Spear is probably the ability I want most in Star Allies, if they add more. it was powerful, they could be thrown, and it had a helicopter move. Bandana waddle dee just isn't the same...
My number one pick is Wheel.
It's fast, it's reliable, and it can be HELLA POWERFUL. turn on any Kirby game with wheel that has the quick turn and press left and right rapidly. you're now invincible. FOREVER. (while the buttons are spammed)
I use It mostly for boss rush because it can't find many secrets on triple deluxe or planet robobobobobowhatever, and it's fast. so I can make unlimited sonic puns and get away with it.
telling jokes gets wheely tiring. I know I know, those are the two most burned out ones.

Favorite copy ability mix: water sword
For water’s geyser attack, if you keep spamming the attack button, the geyser can have incredible height. I found out by accident
Parasol defender ftw.
I originally hated Parasol to bits, and now i utterly love it. It's one of the best abilities for abusing invincibility frames, the Circus Throw is utterly broken and it reflects projectiles! Plus it's just adorable.
And, believe it or not, it's an ability that got a MASSIVE buff long after Super Star. The RtD buff turned Parasol from a near-worthless ability with most of its usual moves being worthless to one of the most fun and well-balanced abilities that exist, with something so simple, that being buffing some of its base moves like the Parasol Twirl to be more useful in usual situations.
Although Tornado will always be my favorite. It's like Wheel but you can fly on it. Also Squeak Squad Ability Scroll Tornado is broken and RtD Tornado is also broken.
My favourite is jet. It's fun, useful, versatile and good in combat

I know I'm late on this but I just wanted to point out that the Water's Geyser attack can be spammed in Star Allies, making it reach higher
I like jet because it speeds up gameplay and is sometimes really strong
The first one I ever played was Nightmare In Dreamland (the remake)
3.yo-yo,there were three abilities in the running for number one,but yo-yo was not good enough,I do not hate it though,it”s still very fun to use,especially when I do the walk the dog move and burn whisky to ashes

Favorite Kirby abilities:
Third is ESP for its power, but limited moves. Works damn well on bosses because of Vanish. PK Shift has good damage, but is a little slow. PK Electroshift is more damaging and faster, but takes more time to prepare.
Second is Mirror. It’s a damn fun ability, deals good damage on enemies, and it’s kinda satisfying to kill that one mini-boss. I just don’t know how they screwed up Amazing Mirror.
First is Ninja since the laser of throwing knives in Star Allies, Quad Shock by itself, and it’s O R I G I N A L I T Y.
I really really wished Wheel was in Star Allies. You could've mixed Fire, Ice, Air, Plasma, or Water with it and there could've been so many possibilities. But most importantly Wheelie was my favorite ally in Super Star Ultra, so I would've loved to see him return

1......STAFF,I loved the elemental abilities,and even without them,I had so much fun when I literally bounces around the entire stage,also,IT”S BROKEN,IT DOES A HECK TON OF DAMAGE

My favourite abilities are artist, chef, cleaning, duplex and my favourite dream friends are Rick Kine Coo,Adeline & Ribbon, Dark Meta Kight and Bandana Waddle Dee.

1: Bluster Marx (Is there anything funner then his hover ball and cutter/jester ball spit spamming to kill bosses?)
My favorite(s) are iced cutter fired sword and watered ninja

3 - Water (surfing is fun)

1 - Spear (you can fly, and it’s the weapon of my fav character, Bandana Waddle Dee!
Notes: you can mash the button when you perform the Geyser to make the water go higher and stay there. The throws in Smash are not based on Fighter. It’s actually Suplex. And his up throw is based off of Ninja’s throw. @Tony Plays
yes, wheel is now practical, it's not like you get hit almost every 5 seconds with it while in the wrong stage or anything, but wheel is only for fun, not practicality
My favorite kirby ability is the Torquay one because it does a lot of damage and it goes across the stage put it last for a very short time

You can also infinity fly is you mix broom and sword of you get wind from it
I don’t like but you can like it and I also love water and I also love fighter I love parasol too and I also like yo-yo and I also like cleaning and I love sword too and I hate wheel but you can like it and the reason why cleaning doesn’t get enough love because of the game Kirby’s dreamland 3 especially on its own

I've only used this in robobot but i love this thing so much! It's a stronger beam ability and i love that ability just a little less then this one.
4:staff
Long range high damage and great elemental combinations. (especially bluster staff) i mean yeah its pretty basic and it kinda feels like spear but i still like it
3:marx I KNOW I KNOW he's not technicaly an ability but 5 out of 7 dream friends are just modified or combined abilitys so i count them as abilitys including marx! Now his move set...all you do is float and drop bomb balls on people and with bluster marx send cutters out like he does in his boss fight (i know the other elements give him his other boss moves but bluster is my favorite)
2:painter
It's not very strong in combat but it has its uses like healing via painted fridge kirby and it has bucket-fulls if charm. I cant really say mcuh much about this one i just like it...
1:spider
I LOVE THIS ABILITY TO DEATH
I've always liked spiders and thought they were cute but when i saw and used spider in game i was more then satisfied with what hal made this ability! Spider may seem weak ar first with its standard attack but HOLY CRAP this thing TEARS through enemies and while a lot of other abilitys can do that...spider makes the enemies hit with its webs into pods and you can kick said pods into MORE enemies and repeat
Ice does this to buttt...the ice cubes always seem to miss for me
Oh also this abilitys hat and como are more cute then anything I've ever seen
Well now im going to wait for people to correct me on putting marx on my list
