This is actually, a good way to put the season into context, interesting
I think in Abu Dhabi, Bottas wouldn't start from the back
And Williams would be starting from the podium
However counting for that is impossible
Well, he could crash in Q1, who knows?
*sad porridge noises from Australia 2018*
Maybe he would crash in free practice 3 and they would have to change the gearbox, like Max in Monaco 2018? You know
Haha, the reverse-switch at RedBull made me laugh
3:19 You have a Error, Verstappen has more points than Red Bull
So, if Verstappen's points are 58 and Albon 18, Red Bull should have 76 points
I literally tought about this 2 days ago when I was taking a bus.
When I saw this video I was like "NO WAY!"
I forgot Mercedes scored 8 wins in a row at the beggining of the season
Now, I made an interesting discovery while playing the F1 2018 career mode. I destroyed everyone and won the title in Monza.
That’s not my point however, what I noticed is that between Hamilton and Vettel, who was scrapping the most in my fictional season, there was only a handful of points differing them, even though Vettel had more bad races than Hamilton.
What I’m trying to say is that, with a season as long as 22 races, having a win count for 25 points, will massively outweigh the 18 points for second. Why not turn down those numbers a little, and award P1 with something along the lines of 21 or 22 points. I feel like the current point system is what is ruining the fight in the championship
If you flip 2019 you basically get 2013.
That's interesting. Everybody forgets how bad Gasly was.
Interesting way of doing a season review 🤔
this "what if" things are so much fun and interesting to watch, please keep having crazy ideas hahaha
For some reason that was so good! Lol
I just want to say Mercedes will never think about changing Bottas even if he wasn’t second, because he is a soldier! Whatever James says he does, most of the time sacrificing himself to save his teammate. I can’t think of many drivers that would that.
Irvine or even more so Barrichello in Ferrari.
@@Pique147 or Webber in Red Bull but sometimes he won't let vettel get away when he think he is enjoying the race

"No, we have This Year in F1: 2019."
This Year in F1: 2019:
Wait, does this mean in this world, Alex Albon went straight to Red Bull without going through Toro Rosso? What a world.
What an AMAZING take on the season, Stuart! Love it!
Alternate reality allows us to light up the scene of history with a different spotlight, letting us see perspectives we would have otherwise missed. Videos like this can be very valuable, please make more.
i just giggled on the things brought up during the reverse season, cause you know what was going to happen next. Great Idea!

11:09 As Russel once said: Consistency is key. And that’s a fact!
Love these random idea videos, great information! 😃
Better silly season content then the old fashioned media!
I did this with the 2009 season way back when - apart from there seldom being more than a race win between the top 3 or 4 in the standings for most of it, Button came from SIXTH at the halfway point (German GP) to stage an extraordinary comeback!
Where have you done it?
8:02 2021 ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF
Thank you so much for having fun with F1. Are you going to do a season review this year? I'm still laughing from last year's.
Great video as always, nice touch putting Williams at tenth place for the rest of the season before everyone else
Bloody brilliant. Thank you for doing this!
It look like this would've been a much more interesting season than the one we had, because Mercedes 8-win win streak at the start of the year killed the championship before it started, but with that run at the end, it would've felt more open to fans for longer. I like running through hypotheticals like this! What would happen if the top 3 teams were a second per lap slower? What would happen if the points systems were different? What would happen if we run events in different orders, or reverse the finishing orders of each event? These hypotheticals are entertaining and can even be enlightening! Thanks CB!
The most off-season F1 video seen this year, I love it!
I actually really enjoyed this. Clever, even more so than Chainbears normal which is saying something. Applause for who thought of this.
I like that williams aren't even in the tables

More silly asides!! That was great fun :)
So if there was to be a 1976 version of this for example, we’d have James Hunt taking multiple wins at the start of the year, Niki Lauda having okay results before missing a few races following a 4th place in Italy, allowing Hunt to build an even bigger championship lead. On his comeback in Germany, Lauda suffers major burns in an accident but still recovers to take his first win at the very next race as well as four more not long after that and almost close in on Hunt. Ultimately though, Hunt had just enough of a lead at the start to take the championship by a single point.
Really makes you think, doesn’t it? Reversing things is fun.
Would love to see you do this for the 2010 season
This is the type of content I enjoy most from you. Thought experiments are cool.
I thoroughly enjoyed this speculating and postulating!
i thought the results would be backwards, but that was interesting anyway
Would love if you did this every year

well, the max leading in the 2021 classification after 5 races looks similar to the reverse 2019 season
It’d be interesting to see how the championship would look if drivers got a point for making it to the checkered flag, and points for pole. I’d honestly like to see both of those in actual F1. Would give teams reason to want to finish the race even if they’re in 19th and 20th
DO THIS FOR EVERY SEASON
I’m only catching up late on your stream. This was hardly nonsense.
Great point about consistency, and the best example I can think of is Keke Rosberg’s championship season (I think he only won one race). Or like Ocon beating Verstappen in GP3.
"Today's video sponsor is the brilliant skillshare" 0:00
Which one? Brilliant or Skillshare? :)
I dare you to do the same with the 2012 season
The offseason has already broken Chainbear.
Should do a mock session like this where the FIA let the teams start with what ever they want and as the season progresses take parts off the car 😂
Please do this again for 2020 or previous season!
a cool idea for an off season video would be to explain the logistics and processes of the drivers coming up through the ranks as kids...from carting and the whole works. With F1 seeking to increase the audience in the USA (which is where I am and its much needed here), the drivers that come from Indy and other American series just aren't brought up with the skill set that translates to F1 very often. An American driver would help obviously but how to get "the guy" is the question.
I love that the possible replacement for Bottas would have been Ocon.
9:00 both cards have the races in reverse order, just pointing it out
To be fair, when nothing much really happened in 2019, you start fantasizing a better season in your head
The off-season is already making Chain Bear create these kinds of videos. It’s going to be a long winter. Still loved the video though
Considering there aren't any regulation changes for 2020 it's possible that the start of the season will be interesting.
can you redo the 2019 season for F1.5? love to see how big the gap Sainz made if he gets a genuine P1
Oh the sponsor is Brilliant.brilliant skillshare
Hey homie - how would you feel about doing a video series deconstructing different drivers’ driving styles? It seems like acquired knowledge, but I’d love to have someone illustrate why Lewis’s dominance adds up to more than machinery, how the loss of backend grip has made life so difficult for Sebastian’s point-to-point driving, what distinguished Alonso’s driving style, and how these compare to... whatever Max does. Better than that, it could be a really neat way to compare Hamilton and, say, Schumacher.
If it’s something you think is in your wheelhouse, it could be really cool to see! Thanks for the work!
could you do the same thing but with qualifying results vs race results?
A golden video and awesome reverse-cap of the year!
Fantastic idea and very interesting approach, thank you!
Not nonsense at all. This sort of thing is right up my street 😍
The night they do the Championship presentation, they should have a draw (like the champions league). So the tracks are always switching position in the year
Dr. Strange: I've seen 14,000,605 possible futures for the 2019 F1 season.
Ferrari: And in how many Hamilton loses the championship?
Dr. Strange: Not in a single one.
One.
Max wins it
It would be really cool if it was that everyone starts with the maximum number of points and then points go off and whoever has the least points at the end wins.
This got me thinking what would happen if the tracks were in reverse 🤔
