Got to say it again and its disgusting the SIA let people like those guys have a license for a security badge and cannot even communicate due to poor English language understanding. What would happen if a real emergency took place for example and lives were in danger and Police, Ambulances or Fire Crew needed to attend. Seconds are vital in situations like that and if not communicating properly, lives could be at risk. I know this as a Security Officer myself as I'm Security & Emergency Response Team Officer and trained in the Run, Hide Tell factors for threats or terror. If these guys here were to call 999 in emergency, poor operator on other end would not have a clue.

Gurkhas, there are many in Folkestone where i now live. And i have never met a bad one yet. English language is poor for the older ones who served the military. But most are security or taxi drivers in Folkestone. But they can be fooled by believing what a person in authority tells them. Unfortunately the people who run this company didnt explain to them that this is legal. And they believe that they need to tell all. This is how the army and bosses abuse these elderly men. The worker now he should have more sense about him. Believing that its private property and you cant record it from the public. Why are these people and i mean security staff. Not trained proplerly when it comes to photography and drones. They are just repeating what they have been told. Yet S.I.A should have online refresher courses free. Just with updates etc of drones, photography and other item that are everyday news. But thats probably a sensible thing to do. And we all know that sensible and S.I.A dont go together.

Its shocking the way we neglect the good Gurkhas after their service for us, and leave them to fend for themselves with such work which must be so demeaning after years of professional and very fine soldiering.
Why not try approaching the head office of SIA to check why they don’t train those people in the security industry to ensure they don’t overstep their bounds within the remit of their licence.

Almost every security guard in these videos has the same misconception and interpretation of the law; doesn’t matter if they’re from Kathmandu or Kidderminster; “not allowed” and “private property” are a U.K. security guard’s favourite words. Nobody guards an empty shed these days. Guarding the car park to prevent travellers, but i cant see them parking in a private car park. Plus the front entrance is only blocked by orange barriers knee height.
I so wish that DJ could ask friendly security guards more about where they came from, which agency got them a visa and why an SIA licence puts someone in the 'skilled worker visa' category. BTW I find that saying to someone: "That's an interesting accent. Where is it from?" nearly always gets the conversation going.
