I believe it was supposed to be called the Ultra Famicom in Japan and that Ultra 64 everywhere else, until Nintendo shortened it to 64 everywhere. Great video Bob! One of my favorite consoles!
My second Nintendo console, Nintendo 64. I had it since 1999. I own 3 games, Star Wars: Episode I - Racer, Beetle Adventure Racing, and Glover. I still have it, and can't find the N64 Controller, AC adapter and plug, I miss it so much and I still want get more games for the system one day in the future from the 1996-2001 era are: Super Mario 64, Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire, Crus'n USA, Wave Race 64, Mario Kart 64, Turok: DInosaur Hunter, Bomberman 64, Bust-A-Move 2: Arcade Edition, Bust-A-Move '99 Namco Museum 64, Paperboy, Excitebike 64, Crus'n Exotica, Mega Man 64, Paper Mario, Dr. Mario 64, and so much more, repurchase the game San Francisco Rush 2049, and the accessories like the Arcade Shark, Power Wheel, and WideBoy64, which plays all Game Boy, Game Boy Color, and Game Boy Advance.
I completely agree that Nintendo could have done a bit better with ultra 64 and Wii U many people thought was just a pro version of Wii. 'What I do like about N64 it has lots of really great games that are still fun to play this day.
With the PAL australia Nintendo 64 we can play European games, and the Japanese n64 games can fit and connect but unfortunately it won’t work because of an electronic region lock out I have one Japanese games called neon genesis evangelion and it fits but it doesn’t work, and I’ve been trying to find a mod that can let me play NTSC-J on a PAL australia Nintendo 64 console, but no one seems to do it,(I’m not referring to an Adapter, I’m referring to a mod that requires soldering, including the ultra HDMI kit But I guess I’ll have to wait for the polymega ultra module.
Always loved the Japanese box art for the consoles. Clean vector art pleases me.
Thanks Bob for a fun informative video! Perfect!
💯
Really thank you, Bob. Saving up your video for later when things are not as intense as now!
Good stuff, Bob! Are you still keeping up with your Amiibo collection? Would love to see a dedicated video about it.
As much as Nintendo will allow. I think I have all that have been released so far, but I know there are several more coming.
Is it as much of a hassle as it used to be in finding each figure?

Nice. I've been waiting for this one.
Just one more comment. Tis the most futuristic looking controller up to date so far!

Sadly I never had a 64 or GameCube
Idk, Sega had two different names with Genesis and Mega Drive and it did ok
The white part of this box was yellow.
Yeah, I was disappointed when I received it. The box must have been stored near a window with lots of sun exposure.
@@yauy Hey, not perfect but at least it's unique in ways.
