    THANK YOU!!! I like to make greeting cards, and my husband got me a Cricut Maker 3 in August. Within hours, I was able to set it up and figure out how to cut out vinyl stickers. But I was completely lost on how to make the Cricut draw and how to attach images. Ashamed it took me this long to watch a tutorial. Yours was the first to pop up and I am so glad it did. Now I feel like I can actually use my machine for what I want! Thank you for explaining everything so wonderfully! Can't wait to make stuff with this new knowledge. :D

    If you wanted the other part of the A on the YAY! How would you do that, we all know it’s an A but looks off to me. Thanks you, really enjoyed the simple but needed info on writing. One more question, do the markers make filling in lines work?

    • @Craft-e-Corner
      @Craft-e-Corner  2 года назад

      The middle part of the A wouldn't stay unless there is a backing added to it. One option would be to cut it out and then glue it to a separate backing. Your Cricut will not fill in the lines, the coloring is done manually.

    Thank you so much for this video! I learned a lot as a beginner. One thing that I'm struggling with is that I want to draw something on a pre-cut material. It's a 4x6 sheet and I am frustrated because I don't know how to line up the sheet so that the drawing is centered on it. I notice in design space that there is some "padding" between 0 and 1 where it automatically places your design instead of at 0" 0". How do I know where to place my sheet on my mat so that the drawing fits onto it when the machine draws it on?

    • @Craft-e-Corner
      @Craft-e-Corner  2 года назад

      One thing you could do is create a template. Insert a square and make it 4x6. Then attach what you want the machine to draw to that shape. Then hit make it. Align the shape at the 1x1 mark. You can then put your precut paper at the 1x1 as well. Let the Cricut draw. Then you can stop the machine before it begins the cut part. Hope that makes sense!

    Thank you so much for this very helpful tutorial. Like your other commenters below I found it very helpful and answered almost all of my questions. One thing I was wondering about though is the line thickness of the drawings. Can you adjust the line thickness or is the line thickness based on the pen\marker you put in the machine?

    • @Craft-e-Corner
      @Craft-e-Corner  2 года назад +1

      Thank you for the kind words. The thickness of the line will be determined by the thickness of the pen/marker you use.

    Can markers/pens draw on vinyl and can colors be changed to fit the full design like layers? Or, does it work with single layer on paper/cardstock only?

    • @Craft-e-Corner
      @Craft-e-Corner  2 года назад

      You will want to use writable vinyl for the pens to work. The pens and markers will smear on regular vinyl. You can use a variety of different colors in one design. Design Space will prompt you to change the color of the pen when it is ready to do that section of the design.

    • @Craft-e-Corner
      @Craft-e-Corner  Год назад

      You would need a pretty smooth ribbon but I feel like it could work. As long as you check that the ink will not wipe off the ribbon. Give it a try and report back!

    I cannot figure out how to both draw and cut my own design that I upload to my canvas. Is that possible or do you always have to use the Cricut images?

    • @Craft-e-Corner
      @Craft-e-Corner  10 месяцев назад

      You would need to change the operation to draw. However, if the image you uploaded is just one image it will change the operation for the whole thing. If you can make different layers you can change the operation per layer.

    Thanks for this video, exactly what i need as a beginner. What is the difference between "weld" and "attach"?

    • @Craft-e-Corner
      @Craft-e-Corner  3 года назад +1

      This is a GREAT question! With attach, the individual letters will be held together but you'll still be able to un-attach and manipulate them if you need too. So it will hold the letters in place, but they're technically still individual layers. With weld, it takes all of the individual letters/design and welds it into one single-layer image. You cannot unweld once you weld! Hope that helps!

    • @Craft-e-Corner
      @Craft-e-Corner  4 года назад +2

      We haven't tried it other than using Cricut Joy Smart Labels and Cricut Joy pens/markers. From what we've researched, it sounds like you can but there's a high-risk for smudging/the ink not drying correctly on the vinyl so it's not necessarily recommended. You could use printable vinyl though to achieve similar results! We will have to try it out sometime- if you do, make sure you just try small :) sorry we can't be of more help!

    I have to disagree Cricut sans can be drawn/written, you just have to change the style to writing. There are a lot of fonts that can be written vs cut. Directly below each font style sample its says if it is single layer, multi layer, or writing. My experience when filtering out the writing fonts, it does not show you all of them in that category. If you are looking for writing fonts is just easier to skip filtering and just scroll through the fonts looking for ones that say they are for writing.

      That is so right! When we created this video there were not a whole lot of writing specific fonts. But yes a lot of fonts can not be both cut and drawn. Thank you

    Does Not Work…first their is no writing selection, it’s actually called has writing style but you can’t draw. This cutter is the most creative depressing machine I’ve every paid toooo much for to not be able to create🙄
