Yes. Keep reacting to both sides.

Definitely keep doing both sides (try to do the A side first). As a kid, I discovered lots of good music on the B sides.

True, but sometimes we discovered some bad songs also.

Thanks, Silas. You have forced me to listen to Archie songs that were not called "Sugar,
Sugar". The Archies were a cartoon/comic book band and their music was produced by Don Kirshner after he was fired by the Monkees. Keep exploring music and reacting to music that no one else would react to.

Both sides! Keep it up. Making Mondays bearable.

Enjoying the Mystery Mondays, Jingle Jangle was played on the radio as well as Sugar Sugar their biggest hit, The Archies were a comic book series made into an animated show which was more recently made into a series called Riverdale based off the comic book characters, and the band/group The Archies was just a group of studio musicians.

I’m loving that you do these songs! It’s fun! 😀

Believe it or not, my copy of Jingle Jangle was cut out from the back of a cereal box, Apple Jacks if I remember. Serveral cereal brands printed records on the box usually from band like the Archies, Jackson 5, or Bobby Sherman.

Read lots of Archie comic books back then, Jughead too. Jingle Jangle was a pretty big hit for them.

I've got a handful of reactors that I will always watch to the end no matter what, then you are one of them. There's a lot that I generally will unless I get distracted. And even then sometimes I'll come back later and finish although that's kind of rare. And then there's some I'll listen to a little of it but almost always jump, but I wouldn't be listening to them in the first place if I didn't already like them.
I think it's great to react to both sides because you never know what you're going to miss. There's a lot of history that goes with some of these things, maybe not this one so much, but I also like the second one better although if you're going to mention the bass guitar line, I actually thought it was way funkier on the first one.

Hard to comprehend how much air time and money this 'band' made...

It is hard to ID the A side of a 45 just by looking at it. We grew up knowing which side was the hit by radio airplay and chart position. But there have been times when the artist intended one side to be the A side. But DJs liked B side better and played that on radio more often. So that became the hit instead. Instead of guessing, please go ahead and play both sides. We will clue you in later.

I wish I’d seen some live performance reactions in your list to Queen, especially Live Aid 1985 and Somebody To love, live, Montreal, 1981.

Never heard either of those songs. I think "Sugar Sugar" was their only big hit. Sound like fun songs though.

Silas - I like that you are sampling random songs on Mondays, but much of this music is not great in my mind. I look forward to you doing more classic rock and metal which is more down my alley. More Megadeth and Faith No More and cool stuff like that!:)
