@Jerry Thomas Apparently you don't appreciate a good singer. He did a quite good job on these songs, a great job in Judas Priest and a very memorable job in Iced Earth too. A matter of taste, but don't day there's nothing special about him. Loads of non special voices get too much attention, and this guy gets too less appreciation.
Saw Tim with the Three Tremors, playing a tiny venue to about 20 people (and seven of those were the support bands) last year, but him and the rest of the guys in the band played and sang their hearts out. Saw Dio many times, and saw Oni at one of the best gigs I've ever witnessed. He was singing with Lynch Mob, who were supporting Queensryche on their Empire tour at Hammersmith. That Queensryche show has become legendary.
I played a show with The Ripper, his band was called US Metal. They were playing Priest, King Diamond, and many of the greats, and they killed that night.
How does Tim ALWAYS fit in... Seriously...Priest, Iced Earth, Dio songs....those are 3 HARDCORE singers to replace or immitate. But he never lets me down. Never forget Tim Ripper Owens! A true killer, not a filler
Hoogla Boogla Ripper should stick to what he does best, his high singing in a weird but soothing voice. It’s OK to be a one trick pony. If we want crappy singing, we can get it from every other singer. We don’t need to hear it from, you, too.

I have not listened to Demolition in probably 15 years so I am going to give it another chance. I do love listening to the live albums Live Meltdown, and Live In London that Tim Owens sang on. I do agree with many that Judas Priest should not ignore the songs from Tim's era. I would love to hear Rob Halford sing Bullet Train, Burn In Hell, Cathedral Spires, and some others. Tim did an amazing job when he was with Judas Priest. I really love Tim's time with Iced Earth. I love Framing Armageddon and especially The Glorious Burden big time.
I remember as a kid around 11 years old hearing Craig playing at his parents house. He was just one of the few in the area that made it to the big time. I couldn't be happier for him.

I got to know Craig pretty well on Facebook. I'm disappointed that we've gotten out of touch. He's a phenomenal guitarist and a super nice guy. As a matter of fact the last time we communicated was when my youngest son served in the Marines. I know that he has a very special place in his heart for Ronnie because of how he helped Craig in going forward with his career.

But there has been a lot of family and friends ending up in the hospital and my experiences with the 6 years I spent as Durable Power of Attorney for my Mom and Step-Dad before they passed has been surprisingly helpful with family and friends that don't seem to know how to navigate through the red tape of the hospitals and insurance companies. And this has proven to be a problem that numerous people both family and friends have come to rely upon me for help navigating through the muk of Healthcare and those in need of proper care and resources beyond their hospital stay! Ronnie James Dio is one of a kind. A very unique voice that is almost unmatched. Owens and Oni just aren't comparable to his tone, but they still do an excellent job. Craig does an amazing job here.
Can you imagine what DIO would have done creating a stage show with all the latest in stage lighting technology???? Back in the 80’s he had some of the greatest shows traveling the country.
These guys just tear shit up . Craig still has it and is better than ever. Dual vocalists is a great touch. Brings a beautiful dynamic to the band and its performance .
@@Ashstrodamus1 also, he could participate in Holy Diver Live (2005, in London), but he hurt a hand in Russian tour. By the way, Dio wanted to record this live at a concert in Moscow (with C. Goldy) , but chose London (with Doug Aldrich).

I knew it, just discovered this band, I knew since listening to The Glorious Burden album Tim Owens sang on that he had to have been a Dio fan or admired him, I noticed listening to high water mark on that album, he sang like Dio in a way which is very impressive especially seeing him sing actual Dio songs is also really impressive, he just nails them perfectly.
Craig Goldie giving an excellent version of Stargazer solo. Ritchie usually went off script. We wanna hear the solo exactly like the original studio recording as it was perfect!
