Tim is magical mixture of Rob Halford and Dio. Brilliant.
He’s just a demon. Abusing those pipes for decades and still spot on. A true talent.
That last verse of Kill the King, incredible 🤘
@Jerry Thomas Apparently you don't appreciate a good singer. He did a quite good job on these songs, a great job in Judas Priest and a very memorable job in Iced Earth too. A matter of taste, but don't day there's nothing special about him. Loads of non special voices get too much attention, and this guy gets too less appreciation.
@Jerry Thomas With that of course I can agree with. It's always a matter of taste 😁
@Jerry Thomas Agreed.
Dio never left, he is in our hearts
Legend NEEEEEVER die!
One of the best vocalist in the world! Tim is awsome!
Riper is the animal!!!!! Potencia en vivo es un animal una bestia!!!!! Argentina te espera
Ripper just gets better and better. Too bad Priest is trying to erase his time with them.
3 years old.
Rik Nel you do realize Tim is still singing correct?
Jugulator and Demolition are better albums than Turbo, Ram it Down and Nostradamus.
Hoogla Boogla Ripper should stick to what he does best, his high singing in a weird but soothing voice. It’s OK to be a one trick pony. If we want crappy singing, we can get it from every other singer. We don’t need to hear it from, you, too.
@@Adi-megatron I love Jugulator but I really did not care for Demolition. I only love one song from Demolition Bloodsuckers. I have not listened to Demolition in probably 15 years so I am going to give it another chance. I do love listening to the live albums Live Meltdown, and Live In London that Tim Owens sang on. I do agree with many that Judas Priest should not ignore the songs from Tim's era. I would love to hear Rob Halford sing Bullet Train, Burn In Hell, Cathedral Spires, and some others. Tim did an amazing job when he was with Judas Priest. I really love Tim's time with Iced Earth. I love Framing Armageddon and especially The Glorious Burden big time.
I played a show with The Ripper, his band was called US Metal. They were playing Priest, King Diamond, and many of the greats, and they killed that night.
Awesome performance. Dio's music is to be forever played. We should honor and tribute him every day.
I fucking love Ripper Owens!!! he's amazing singing Dio songs!!!
i saw him and oni logan perform at the Dio hologram show here in phoenix,az...much awsomeness
check him out doing king diamond. god damn. i love the king as much as anybody but he never sounded so good in a million years
@@hazardeur man i think the same!!!!! i LOVE king diamond, but i saw ripper owens singing abigail and i almost shit my pants!!! it blew my mind!!!
How does Tim ALWAYS fit in...
Seriously...Priest, Iced Earth, Dio songs....those are 3 HARDCORE singers to replace or immitate. But he never lets me down. Never forget Tim Ripper Owens! A true killer, not a filler
Saw Tim with the Three Tremors, playing a tiny venue to about 20 people (and seven of those were the support bands) last year, but him and the rest of the guys in the band played and sang their hearts out. Saw Dio many times, and saw Oni at one of the best gigs I've ever witnessed. He was singing with Lynch Mob, who were supporting Queensryche on their Empire tour at Hammersmith. That Queensryche show has become legendary.
Dio is still with us...
Craig is a hell of a guitar player. Sure, he's not a showman, but his skill is amazing. Ripper is a freaking juggernaut. Poor Oni got blown off stage.
Weak
@SarcefulOfSecrets
Thanks for the kind words about the playing! The DD concerts to me are a Memorial Service and not a time to "rock out"! Each chord and note is connected to over 30 years of memories of Ronnie being my favorite singer! Then he became a friend, then a mentor, then a band member and family!!
Majestic performance . Tim Owens reminds me a real Dio having Fantastic,Unique voice. He is definitely a Great singer nowadays !
Stargazer on this was amazing. I am sure that Ronnie would have loved this.
Ripper is great! Awesome performance! He nailed it!
I remember as a kid around 11 years old hearing Craig playing at his parents house. He was just one of the few in the area that made it to the big time. I couldn't be happier for him.
@randallh2185
Thank you Brother! Hope all is well and 2024 is being kind to you!!
Yeah Tim sounds real good...wish he'd do a Dio tribute album
That's a big wish of my own. The Rippers is such a great singer in all bands he was. But in my opinion his voice is made for Dio Songs :-)
Nooo no no no no.
Great performance, especially Stargazer.
Ripper kills it on Rainbow in the Dark!
What a great job by Ripper Owens!!
CRAIG GOLDY YOU ARE THE FUKIN MAN! ROCK ON BROTHER! ONE OF THE MOST UNDER-RATED GUITAR PLAYERS EVER, JUST WATCH HIS SOLO FROM 86 IN PHILLY!
@MB-yw3pv
Thank you for that!! Such a cool thing to say!! I appreciate it very much and I appreciate you!!
Tim's voice is as big as the legendary guys he sings. Just nuts... nothing can be complained on his professionality
Goldy's playing is spot on., and his playing, and timing is perfect.
@thornpenator9148
Thank you for the kind words about the playing! Whenever we did DD concerts they were memorial services to me and not a time to "Rock out"! Every chord and every note is connected to 30 years of memories as him being my favorite singer then friend, then mentor, then band member and then family! But I totally understand why you would say that!!
@@TCraigGoldy Your live guitar solos are legendary...and you should be recognized as one of the greats...up there with Rhoads...Campbell and many others.
Thank you for keeping the torch going for RJD.
Peace.
@@thorpenator9148
Wow!! Thank you for that!! Means way more than you know!!
Metal is the greatest genre ever. You don't ever become 'old or middle age'....you just become a legend!!!!
Been listening to since 1980 here
The barrel chested powerhouse... Ripper is in his 50s and can still wail like
he's in his 20s
God, Ripper overpowers Oni so much that I think they should not sing some songs together
Ronnie James Dio is one of a kind. A very unique voice that is almost unmatched. Owens and Oni just aren't comparable to his tone, but they still do an excellent job. Craig does an amazing job here.
Ripper is fantastic!
GOLDY Is KILLING IT!!!!
Tim kicked ass on Rainbows !
I got to know Craig pretty well on Facebook. I'm disappointed that we've gotten out of touch. He's a phenomenal guitarist and a super nice guy. As a matter of fact the last time we communicated was when my youngest son served in the Marines. I know that he has a very special place in his heart for Ronnie because of how he helped Craig in going forward with his career.
@robertbishop5357
Hey Robert,
Thank you Brother!
FB has become a platform of hate from my experiences! I tend to comment and reply here in YT and in X ( Twitter) and it seems to be a much better place to speak with people even though there is hatred everywhere especially now a days! Yes, we did get to be actual friends and I'm sorry if I went MIA on you Brother! You're more important than that! But there has been a lot of family and friends ending up in the hospital and my experiences with the 6 years I spent as Durable Power of Attorney for my Mom and Step-Dad before they passed has been surprisingly helpful with family and friends that don't seem to know how to navigate through the red tape of the hospitals and insurance companies. And this has proven to be a problem that numerous people both family and friends have come to rely upon me for help navigating through the muk of Healthcare and those in need of proper care and resources beyond their hospital stay! Whew!! Glad to be of help....but it has taken quite a bit from me!!
Hail Ripper, Hail the Legendary Dio!!
These guys just tear shit up . Craig still has it and is better than ever. Dual vocalists is a great touch. Brings a beautiful dynamic to the band and its performance .
Dio magical band, TIM R Owens fucking amazing and great singer!!
Magnifique prestation... on sent tout l'âme et la puissance vocale de Ronnie se diffuser à travers le timbre de Tim Owens...
I saw the Hologram show, Ronnie was ALIVE IN THAT PLACE… HIS SPIRIT WAS THERE!
Vivian is the best Dio's guitarist.
Craig Goldy was my favorite, too bad he only did one album with DIO. Dream Evil rules.
@@Ashstrodamus1 he also did Magica and Master Of The Moon
@@qwertyrewerer Oh, thanks...didn't know that. I'll be checking those out.
@@Ashstrodamus1 also, he could participate in Holy Diver Live (2005, in London), but he hurt a hand in Russian tour. By the way, Dio wanted to record this live at a concert in Moscow (with C. Goldy) , but chose London (with Doug Aldrich).
@@Ashstrodamus1 there is also a live album called Finding The Sacred Heart Live In Philly 1986 that Craig plays guitar on. I agree with you that Dream Evil is an amazing Dio album. In my opinion it is just as amazing as both Holy Diver and The Last In Line albums.
Happy Birthday Ronnie!! We all miss you!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Coisa de louco . Tim Owens sempre arrebentando .
_"DIO Disciples"_
HOLY F**K!!! DIO should be proud of them! Ripper interpreted magistrally his musics!
I I I I I believe Jorn Lande would have killed on I just like he did with Sabbath @ the Tribute Show.
Jorn is the best RJDio alter ego IMHO, brò. 🤘🤘
Those guys are great but Jorn is my first choice follow by Ronnie Romero
There's also Patrik Nils Johanson of Lion's Share, album Dark Hours, listen you hear a Dio's child, but with his own personality
Ripper is my favorite!
It's true what they say.... never turn your back on the ripper
Dio e 4ever!!!
Damn...Ripper is so fing good!!!
Fabuloso ver tanto talento reunido, cuando vinieron a México fue fenomenal!!!! Gracias Rodrigo Pacho por invitarnos a la banda de Coapa!
Simon is kick ass on the drums. Always has been great
Dio the best your a rainbow in the dark.🤘🤘
Dio, the best forever! and as always accompanied by the best guitarists like Craig Goldy
best live mix ive heard in one of these videos. Fantastic
My Akron boy is the premier metal singer at this point in the game. Unbelievable performance right here, can’t believe he has one vocal cord left
Craig Goldie giving an excellent version of Stargazer solo. Ritchie usually went off script. We wanna hear the solo exactly like the original studio recording as it was perfect!
@astronomenov99
Thank you for that!!
@@TCraigGoldy no problem Craig, thanks for the comment! Love your work! I have 2 of your songs on my all time playlist: I Could Have Been a Dreamer (which you co-wrote with Ronnie) and... Call to the Heart by Giuffria. I saw you when Dio played Donington Monsters of Rock in 1987.
@@astronomenov99
Wow! That's such a cool thing to say! I appreciate that very much and I appreciate you!! Just out of curiosity....have you heard the "Dream Child" album "Until Death do We Meet Again" with Rudy Sarzo and Simon Wright? Just curious. Thank you my friend! Your kind words mean more than you know!! Blackmore solos have always been a trip cause even after years of thinking I've got it down note for note....I'll hear something I missed!!
@@TCraigGoldy Thanks for the heads up on the Dream Child album, I'll look it up. I'm using the internet to look for bands and albums I may have missed over the years before the internet and RUclips existed. I was (and still am) a massive fan of 80s era Whitesnake. But, get this: I only discovered Blue Murder last August when 'Valley of the Kings' appeared on my RUclips playlist. How did I miss THAT? I feel like I let John Sykes down or something!
@@astronomenov99
Hey.....God Bless You for looking and liking that style of music! That Whitesnake album with "Still of the Night" has got to be one of thee best albums ever put out!! Oh...and there's also a band called "Resurrection Kings" I did with Vinny Appice....2 albums with him under that band name. Thanks!! Have fun and let me know what you think whenever you get a chance!!
Ripper Owens is a fuckin beast!
Ooo yeah, Big Tim Ripper Owens!
I love the version of Rainbow in the Dark that Ripper and Metal Piano do together!!!! Ripper has some sick harmony lines 🔥
Nice performance!
Dio 🤘🤘🤘
What a great show that is
Tight group , Ripper never disappoints
I knew it, just discovered this band, I knew since listening to The Glorious Burden album Tim Owens sang on that he had to have been a Dio fan or admired him, I noticed listening to high water mark on that album, he sang like Dio in a way which is very impressive especially seeing him sing actual Dio songs is also really impressive, he just nails them perfectly.
If Jorn lande is the vocalist, this band would have been awesome to listen to.
Correct.
I agree with you. Jorn is the best Dio Cover.
Jorn is the man, he should hook up with iommi and Butler again.
drum kits sound like carboard boxes to me
Tim Owens, awesome singer.
\m/ waw super band great masters of rock metal super Dio \m/
Que impressionante, estou embabacado com o talento do Owens , simplesmente incrível.
Ripper sounds just like Dio 👍👍👍👍
It was AWESOME watching Craig Goldie glare when someone messed up...lol
Tim Owens e um grande vocalista...canta fácil Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden e Rainbow... Iommi deveria experimentar algo com este cara.
I actually like Tim doing Dio more than Halford. I like Judas Priest more, but i think his voice does Dio better!
BLACKMORE # 1
WERE IS THE CREDIT TO RITCHIE BLACMORE IN KILL THE KING?
THIS AMASING SONG IS OWEN TO BLACKMORE!
Now that my fanboyism has long since worn off, I wish Priest had kept Ripper and just kept grinding it out.
Wow. Stargazer killing it
Damn Goldy got fat age i guess I ain't no spring chicken myself
@mattaylor8935
Ouch!! It's nearly impossible for me to see these videos! I've lost the weight since then.....Ronnie's passing hit me really hard and I drank and ate way too much to drown the pain only to find out I was just teaching them how to swim!! It's embarrassing to see me like this! But thank you for being so cool about it and it's not your fault for noticing! Hope 2024 is being kind to you!!
I drink too much too you are a great player keep it up ✌️
@@mattaylor8935
Thank you Brother!! I appreciate that very much and I appreciate you!!
el Ripper es lo maximo¡¡¡¡¡
Ripper owens 🤘
amazing performance!!
Woooooooooooooooww!!!! TIM OWENS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!
RJ Dio para sempre!
primera vez escucho esta banda y en el primer tema por un momento pense que escuchaba al mismo dio :o
Ripper great like evee!!! Great Job !!!! Logan I dont know. Its seems to me short to the challenge
Craig Goldy's like touring musician - I mean his playing. Check out Vivian Campbell's band "Last In Line" live performances, especially the way the solo for "Rainbow in the dark" should be played
RJD would be proud!!
🤘🤘🤘🤘
Dio came down to posess tim owens body!
Ay no mames
that would be Jorn Lande.
U mean came up? Lol
Didn't know Mark Hamill plays drums
😂
He's also the lead guitar in Saga 😁
jeeezzzzz Tim's vocal \m/
No disrespect to the vocalist but my throat hurts when I listen to him. Goldy and others are great.
He tried but he didn't even get anywhere close.
I like Tim as much as the next guy, but Ronnie was on a different level.
These guys together are bad ass!!
Didnt expect that out of a dude dected out in monster gear
where is Vivian?
Rip.ronnie james dio.
my reactions when two guys trying heart and soul to pull off Dio's vocals : 19:23
Just brilliant!
Great! Tim is Very good
Fantastic.!!!!!!!! Animal !!!!! Long Live Dio !!!!! \m/
Goldy. Master clinic in pinch harmonics and palm muting. Under rated guitarist.
He is the worst of Dio's guitar players.
@@starchild692 yet out of all the legends he played with, he was Ronnie's favorite guitarist.
@@starchild692 Craig's a great guitarist, worst guitarist Dio ever played with was Iommi!
