So excited to see impromptu imagineering, I have been obsessed with the monorail system of Disney for so long, and this episode was a dream for me! Love and support your work Brayden!
This is the type of guy Disney need to hire to help make decisions. Youthful, brilliant mind that understands what fans really want. Someone who makes decisions based on the Love of Disney rather than just a business.
If Arlo of @stepintothemagic2035 can't be the president of the Disney company, I'll reckon Brayden would be it as well. (if Arlo becomes president, then Brayden could be his VP)
He's a WDW hero. A combination of Mickey Views and Posieden Entertainment would carry the spirit of Walt's ideas to future generations. If only we were in charge 😑
that would be cool, I could see it also having glass that the tint can be raised/lowered so when it's too bright/rainy it doesn't draw too much attention from the rest of the view
I hope this becomes a more regular show. The more you do of this stuff the better you will get and it would be way cool to get into some awesome topics. Maybe you could get good enough to design an entire new Tomorrowland for Disneyland?
Keep in mind, before Disney would have even discussed the 3D printer, there would have been 100 concept sketches, 35 concept renderings, the better ones getting prelim concept work for the interiors, the mechanicals underneath, locations of electronics and lighting. And then finally, 5 of them would have made it to the 3D printing stage. So while you wonder "how difficult could it really be to design a new monorail?", you are not taking into account many designs that were thought through, with one of the biggest thoughts being "this design needs to survive for a minimum of 25 years, preferably longer". All of that taking probably 8 months. Then that would be followed up with full size mockups and basic usability testing, including for ease/speed of loading & unloading. And let's not forget, along the way the idea of how to integrate maintenance and accessibility if the train were to stall and be stuck somewhere. Brayden's design is nice, but really includes the "design" aesthetics only. And that's one big reason why new monorails aren't nearly so simple or cheap to pop out.
Great job Brayden. I like your design. What ever Disney does with the design I think they should use LED light panels for the stripe along the side rather than paint. That would look very cool.
Great job, unbelievable work. But personally, like you said, the look of the monorails now are just perfect. Literally just build new ones of those, they’re so iconic looking
OMG. "Obviously, those talks didn't materialize in anything" with the shot of Chapek smugly tearing up the plans was so on the nose!! Possibly the best passive aggressive dig at this reprehensible eater of dreams ever. Otherwise, a very fun creative, and rather tech savvy, video. I was well impressed Brayden.
@@jasonchampagne6825 Ty. I’m not alone in this feeling, but it’s always welcomed when someone else agrees. I love my Disney blogs, but very few actually criticize. Do you ever think we’ll get Disney back?
@@ejmythos8570 Disney now has a new chairman of the board Susan Arnold. so Iger is out at last, and KK is sidelined. and from what "Doomcock" heard that she is telling the execs if you don't support the guests and fans there is the door. we are here to make money if you don't agree the door is right behind you. sounds like she has a lightsaber and knows how to use it. and it looks like Bob Chapek and Susan Arnold are working together and on the same page with the same vision for Disney. but time will tell if Bob Chapek is at least as good as Michael Eisner. (now Eisner was not that great, but not as bad as Iger over all. at least Eisner was trying to keep with Walt's vision.) .. and Yes I am a WDW castmember alumni 79.
Holy smoke!! Jeeez,...this was bad @ss!! I do 3D printing too and what you did was just KILLER! Loved this video Brayden. I'm about to turn right around and watch it all over again. What a great surprise!
Awesome job! That’s how things are done! You start with an idea and you work around it until you make it come true! As always, trial and error comes with the process, but it’s all part of the learning experience. That’s how Walt did it and that’s how the imagineers did back in the day! Keep it up!
What a terrific job on the design and printing of your monorail. This project took a lot longer than the video, but it tells the Brayden story. Your efforts are very much appreciated. Consider yourself the 1st Braydeneer!
Dude! This is AWESOME! I hope they use your fan design as inspiration for the real Mark VIIIs. Love the Impromptu Imagineering concept as well! Look forward to more in the future.
What a fun project! The mind fairly boggles at how many projects you could come up with. I look forward to more of this kind of stuff from you, Brayden.
I loved your design!!! Let's hope those powers that be are watching and will bring you on board for an assist in creating a new, updated, most necessary monorails!!
Love to see the Impromptu Imagineering series coming together! I hate spray cans with a passion man, rarely use them in modeling anymore I can’t recommend getting an inexpensive airbrush and compressor enough.
Wow Brayden! This completely blew me away! Awesome that you were able to get this from your head to your hands!! Congratulations!!! Keep up the incredible work!!
Absolutely outstanding, Brayden! I am so glad to see you get this series off the ground. I’m, also, impressed with your fan concept design for the WDW monorail; definitely appears more stylish and streamlined.
Great show. Was worth the wait. When Disney brings guests the new monorail let us hope it has the inner style of tokyo disney. It is open and allows guests to move about throughout ALL the cars. Seats are angled and holding rings are hidden mickeys.
Love your concept design this is what disney needs imagineers to do.... So much potential for disney to do so many cool awesome things but they waste so much money and energy on things that add no entertainment or wow factor for guests
Kudos, Brayden!!! I'd request a meeting with Bob Gurr if I were you and show what you've made to him. Wonderful job, looks totally futuristic, yet instantly identifiable as a WDW Monorail. Love it!!!!!!
Yeah, I was pretty skeptical at the start of the video, especially since I wholly agree that the current design is very nearly perfect, but that finished product...! Excellent work!
Awesome job, I absolutely love your concept! I'm glad that even after a few setbacks you continued on and found ways to solve your problem. I would love to see more episodes like this.
Duuuude. This is awesome in every single way! I love this series idea! And, I REALLY dig your take on the Mk VIII! It never occured to me to swipe the design language from the Cybertruck of all things, but this feels just right to bring the monorail concept firmly back into future pacing territory! I also feel you did a great job with all of the other elements to bring this design to life! Awesome presentation, and love your Imagineering prowess, brother! Keep up the good work!
This monorail design is pretty cool looking. Nice concept. Whether it is practical for a monorail is up to the engineers, but it does look cool. When it comes time to replace the Mark VI, it would be nice to keep a couple of the trains for nostalgic reasons and run them on special occasions.
This was a very, very cool video. Love this concept as a series, and am very much looking forward to what else you come up. Not being familiar with 3D modeling and printing, seeing the process you went through here was incredibly interesting.
That ought to win some kind of prize! I’ve drawn something quite similar, except my cab noses are wedge shaped, like the latest generation of TGV. Speaking of which, how about a bi-level monorail, to carry twice as many guests.
So happy to see this show finally come live! I have been watching since you were in high school and took your first shot at building the set. Great Job Brayden keep it up!
Beautiful work, Brayden! I hope someone at Disney sees this, as your design looks like something they should consider. I look forward to more "Impromptu Imagineering" episodes in the future!
I really love the look of the Mark IV and Mark VI monorails, but I think you have done an excellent job of modeling a modern design that is classic and true to the legacy system. And I think your design looks far better than a "cyber truck"! I had been contemplating a design as well, although I was thinking of something a little more retro, partially inspired by the Mark VIIs at DL and the hinted at new monorail design in the Epcot experience exhibit. I too figured the next design could have at least a partial metal-look exterior, although I was thinking weathered aluminum or something of that sort. Definitely less white on the exterior. With your design, I appreciate you admitting that it is a somewhat simple and uncomplicated design, but as I think you figured out, this is one case where less looks better than more!
Great video! Nice project! I tried modeling the MK VI using Fusion 360. Modeling the front cab of the MK IV/VI is deceptively tricky - the compound curves are very, very difficult. And really amazing that these were designed largely pre-CAD era using paper drawings and production templates. Gives me appreciation for the designer's old-school skills!
Loved this video! If you enjoy doing them as well, I'd love to see Impromptu Imagineering taken to the Disney attractions that could use a facelift! Matterhorn Bobsleds would be a great one! :) Thank you, keep up the great work!
Brilliant segment! Love the format and cant wait to see what comes next. Re-imagined improvements to current rides or ride vehicles may be vain to tap. More please!

This young man has the ‘it’ that Walt would have easily seen in him. He is a legend in the making.
I was thinking the same thing. No one else puts out the quality and accuracy of vids as Brayden. Disney is going to snatch him up one day.
Love this idea for a series!
I think the future monorail should include a elongated sun roof as well. People can see the stars or fireworks or weather while riding.
that would be cool, I could see it also having glass that the tint can be raised/lowered so when it's too bright/rainy it doesn't draw too much attention from the rest of the view
Excellent idea!
Very cool idea 💡

Yea that would be sick
i’m so happy that this series is out !!!
Wow, nice setup. It's cool to see the progression of film quality.
Very nice new series Brayden. I had a similar idea for something like this, but I could never carve out the time.
Absolutely fantastic! You've done more with less than Disney does with more.
Disney has gotten LAZY!

Impromptu Imagineering! 4 years in the making!
I know!!!

Very nice! Yes, those monorail trains definitely need an update for sure!
Love your 3D work Brayden and so happy to see this series of yours come true!! Thank you man!
Yes!! LOVE your design! The monorail is hands down the beginning of a magical trip. I wish this could become a reality it’s perfect!
Excellent job, this design is the perfect progression between old and new. It shows a modern feel without a shocking change.
Definitely should do this more often

The production of this video is INSANE.
Brayden's production work is outstanding!
I love the new design, it should totally be at real life monorail 🚝.
This was amazing! Great work. How Disney hasn't scooped you up as their own....I just don't know!
😁This is fantastic! Please let this be our new monorails! Brayden and CT inspired monorails FTW!
Good job…love that you showed the process and the trials fails and successes! Please keep sharing!
This is awesome ! Would love to see the Mickey head windows like in Tokyo Disneyland, but this design is perfect.
I loved your design!!! Let's hope those powers that be are watching and will bring you on board for an assist in creating a new, updated, most necessary monorails!!
So much craftsmanship with your concept. I’ll be forwarding this. I hope Disney Parks higher ups take notice.
Good to see you again
Love to see the Impromptu Imagineering series coming together!

I can’t wait to see what future ride attractions you design. Something totally unique.
Wow Brayden! This completely blew me away! Awesome that you were able to get this from your head to your hands!! Congratulations!!! Keep up the incredible work!!
So excited for this series! It’s been almost five years since it was first announced. I love the monorail design!
Home Improvement set vibes with the new set up, love it

Obsessed with the idea of Impromptu Imagineering. Can't wait to see more! You're so talented, I enjoy everything you put out!
That's incredible. I'm impressed with your imagineering skills!
Determined. Perfectionist. Skilled. Awesome. You’re a mad man dude! LOVE the cybertruck, LOVE the cybermonorail! Attention to detail is impressive.
I like it! I'd buy a Mark 8 model to sit right along with my monorail collection. Congrats on getting the series running!

Hard work shows! Could see a major quality jump from other videos, great work Brayden
Wow! What a fantastic design you've made! Looks like those would look very at home circling around EPCOT.
Great job Brayden! Really impressed by your initiative and ability to build a monorail to the quality you did! Keep it up
So impressive! The one change I would make is for the black window band to go through all the cars, unbroken.
love your design, hope Disney uses it and we see that in real life soon.
Looks super sharp! great job in the end.
Pro tip: Look into super glue and activator spray, its popular in woodworking and sets the glue instantly.
Love the show concept! And the monorail design is cool!
So cool.
Wow, that is some talent!
Nice looking model. I was lucky to ride in the bubble in the Disneyland monorail. Maybe a skylight window would be a nice addition
That looks great, you should really get a job as an imagineer!
