Ryan is one of those guys that in basketball circles they say “ if only he was 6 or 8 inches taller he’d have a shot at being in the NBA”, ATP in this case. Great talent and poise.
@aonutube in past interviews, they said their fav and best shot is the forehand volley. Since most balls in dubs go down the middle, the lefty-deuce/ righty-ad set-up gives them more opportunities to hit this shot. However, zimonjic/nestor used to exploit this formation by playing so well to the wings (their backhands), and had their number for a long time.. The Bros switched back to forehands on the outside for one match just to beat them (Aus Open 2010). watch?v=0C-pEt8d9ts
I think you need to check your definition of "always"... you can see in the Aus Open 2010 that Nestor/Zimonjic and even Bryans played forehand on the outside and backhand in the middle, and these were #1 and #2 ranked teams at the time in a grand slam final. so I think it's safe to say you are incorrect, honestly it's just up to personal preference
3:33, when you get owned by an amazing shot from a world class player and all you can do as a pleb is laugh about it. Few people other than the Bryan brothers would ever purposefully hit an effective volley like that.
@@andreaho I think pros should be held to higher standards than average humans. Some things they should make 99% of the time, especially if they're the greatest. And they were pushed back by Ryan
That Asian guy in the blue shirt @ 6:40 - 6:41. Big mistake, he didn't cover his side and moved over in the middle like an idiot; leaving a open area for one of the Bryan brothers to place their shot. If you're at a amateur level you should know to cover your side of the court at all times. For an amateur level, you should already know how the formation goes, no excuse.
+yajseng The basic level of doubles is follow the ball. The ball moved the bryan to the alley so grey shirt covers alley and blue shirt covers the middle because a ball coming from that angle is likely going to those two spots. Bryan just hit a great volley in a low percentage position. I much rather cover the court in a high percentage than a low percentage. Unless you wanted blue shirt to leave middle wide open while grey shirt follow the ball into the alley?
You're clueless. You can't defend the whole court at all times. You want to cover the high percentage shots and force them to beat by hitting a great shot. That's what happened here. With his partner shifting to the right, if he stayed on his side there would be an enormous gap up the middle, giving the Bryans an easy and high percentage target. The Asian kid played and had wins on the pro tour. I highly doubt you are 10% of the player he is.
you guys looked very good vs one of the best (if not THE best) mens doubles teams ever...good job thumbs up!

8:11 and 1:51 huge kick...
dat twist doe

8 : 12 monster kick serve
8:11 1:50
you just aced one of the bryan Brothers nice job!!!
bryan bros hit a lot of shots that were clearly going out. that being said though, you guys have great skill! i can see them being accommodating
@aonutube actually it's because Mike (righty) is the better returner, so he needs to return on the more crucial points, which are on the ad side
Anyone catch that monster kick serve by Ryan Cheung?!?!?! Amazing
At 8:12 sick kick serve
Looks like he's tossing towards the right side fence!
what shoes are those that Ryan is wearing?
I think you need to check your definition of "always"...

What brand is Mike's shirt?
Ryan has some sick twist on his serves.
@Point 6:34 amazing volley at the end of the point. I can watch it over and over again lol
actually its because you always, ALWAYS, always put forehands up the middle as that is where the majority of the points in doubles are.
That serve at 8:15 was wicked!!
Tom Lieu isn’t that the American twist?
gotta say ryan cheung's volleys need a major improvement
who are these cheung and kosakowski kids they're simply amazing
Daniel is rank 268 in the world as of now.
3:33, when you get owned by an amazing shot from a world class player and all you can do as a pleb is laugh about it. Few people other than the Bryan brothers would ever purposefully hit an effective volley like that.
I don't feed trolls looking to start shit
You mean "getting destroyed by the Bryan brothers"
4:36 GREATEST doubles players of all time BTW!?
@Senuka Abeysinghe I'm being sarcastic. That was a terrible miss for any doubles pro. But The bryan bros were threatened by the Ryan kid most likely
Are you serious? They miss many shots, all the time but they are still the greatest doubles ever. It's not unusual at all.
@@andreaho I think pros should be held to higher standards than average humans. Some things they should make 99% of the time, especially if they're the greatest. And they were pushed back by Ryan
u can now say u aced a Bryan
8:11 ridiculous kick serve
You call that getting destroyed? They will probably you much harder than they get "destroyed" by Bryan Brothers.
8:12 sick twist!!
Lefty Bryan should stay at the ad court, why would they swap like that?
ryan looks a lot like michael chang
Maybe single closer then double against the brother.
Game. Bryan, Bryan
excellent ..
Dan wasn't doing too bad!
The serve at 1:51!
Ea bro that's OUT WIDE!!! Very nice.
I love this video
@aonutube for two forehands in the middle
Their hats are so bright O.o
Idk about daniel but ryan is good
Point 6:34
no cuz he resembles chang ... why make it racist?
bad serve
i can volley better than ryan cheung
