As a dutch. If they do not call out “Politie” when entiring a building without the “owner/suspect” knowing any damage they do are liable for. If they make themselves known and the suspect retaliate they are in thier right to use force.
Yeah especially since the suspect might legitimately think these are rival gangs or something, and any retaliation would be more legitimate than if he knows it's the police.
@@dekippiesip well considering they had Police Uniforms themselves as well, they might still believe it is a rival gang

The DSI is a twofold unit.
There's the regular swat side, doing relative lower risk jobs like arresting criminals it responding to mental breakdowns.
Then there are is the e&o units, epertese and support.
The e&o are from the UIM or Marine intervention unit.
This unit usually brings in SOF snipers, although the police also has snipers.
They do planned and unplanned higher risks busts like terror threats and hostage situation or support the DSI in larger operations.
The DSI recruits from both the police and the military.
Mostly former marines and commandos and even air assault.
It's a dedicated elite unit and they train on a daily basis.
There's more I could say but heck typing larger text on a phone sucks.
Basically it's a unit that operates on the border of green and blue.

Not totally true, the regular Swat do also raids, kidnap casses, transporting criminals and also are on the scene of terrorism . It's interesting to see how this is getting so much international attention. Some back story to this raid might help a bit. For the past 8 years, there has been a very bloody drug war in the Netherlands with a lot of liquidations and also innocent people being killed. There are multiple organized groups, but there are 2 main groups fighting each other. The biggest of those groups is responsible for most of the liquidations and terror and a lot of so-called (vergis moorden), killing the wrong people. It's often unprofessional street kids who just straight mistake someone else for the person they actually have to kill and kill an innocent person. This has happened at least 6 times in the past 5 years. The self-made prison and torture cells you see in this video belong to a rival group. They are basically each other's biggest enemies. Fun fact, all the major players in both criminal organizations are in custody at the moment awaiting trial. This all is very uncommon for the Netherlands and the prison/torture cells are very extreme. Although in the past 8 years the violence ( liquidations with automatic machine guns, beheadings, planning to shoot rockets into houses of enemies or traitors, killing family and friends of witnesses) has surged explosively, this is still a new extreme for our country. The underworld back in the day did definitely not act this reckless and extreme and operated with at least some moral code. That can not be said of the groups currently fighting each other. It is likely that the key players of these organizations currently on trial will receive life sentences.

Hi, I'm from the netherlands and the DSI is one name for multiple different sections the unit that did the raid with the nvg is actually a unit with people from MARSOF which is an special Force from the royal marines in the Netherlands. The unit with the face shield is called Arrestatieteam this is an unit that basically arrests people that are armed and dangerous.
Correct Maritime Special Operations Forces .
you can also say that the AT raid houses / properties
DSI is a formation of soldiers from either MARSOF or KCT who preform high risk operations like this for the police
MARSOF are comparable to US navy seals.
AT doing the second raid is our equivelant of SWAT.
We have never seen such thing, this was very big news in the Netherlands. Thanks for the content!
Foil prevents thermo detection. Usually used to keep your growlamps under the radar. Otherwise they'll notice the bit of snow missing from your rooftop.
DSI is a cooperation between the Netherlands Justice and Defence departments. Many of the people you see working for the DSI are actually operators for NLMARSOF; the Netherlands Maritime Special Operations Force. These people all went thru Marine training before even being considered for selection - no civilians can enlist into it. Then, they went thru special forces training. So yes, this is basically a military operation for the Justice department.
Edit: I just learned myself that KCT (army SOF) is also involved. Every day is a good day to learn :)
There is a serie called "onder de radar" about these teams. It has multiple episodes an you can find it on youtube

hell yeah we need some more of this
Yeah this is a good one
For some context: 'Noord-Brabant' is responsible for about 15 billion in European synthetic drugs sales. A lot of home labs etc.
It's also the province that's least densely populated has alot of back roads and dirt tracks crossing the border, close to Rotterdam, borders both Germany and Belgium with lots of unmonitored places to cross those borders.
Huge problem is criminals forcing farmers to rent them space for druglabs or farmers falling for the money offered to put a lab on their land.
If the Dutch police chases a suspect close to the border they have to be in constant communication with German or Belgium police so they can take over pursuit when suspects cross the border. This makes it easy to get away, rules have changed though and Jurisdiction has been expanded crossborder where the Dutch, German, Belgium police can make a cross border arrest, i believe a maximum of 10 kilometers from the border. Otherwise the arrest has to be done by the German or Belgium police to be legit at the request of the Dutch police and the suspect will then be handed over to the Dutch police and vice versa.
15 billion what? Tons, euro's, dollars, yen? What?
@@bramakershoek6842 Euro's about 21b in US Dollars annualy.

The foil is there so when people are in there, nobody could see them with infrared cams
The DSI unit consists of a mix of multiple units, and the mix is unique on it's own and found nowhere in the world. The DSI is a joint intervention of the National Police and Ministry of Defence to form a team able to conduct operations in the highest spectrum of violence, that ranges from apprehending dangerous criminals, to CT operations. The DSI is a overseeing network of special forces picked from several units(Gendarmerie SF(BSB), Dutch Green Berets(KCT), Marine Special Forces(NLMarsof) and AT's from the police, they are then mixed together in several teams like you just saw.
As a Brit I was most impressed by that really big bag of Yorkshire Tea behind the marine!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
For fuck sake!😂
These type of prisons are found through out the world of the international drug trafficking...
DSI is a cooperation between KCT (army SOF), MARSOF, and police. And they are the SWAT and antiterrorism unit of the Dutch police. So they are trained very well.

As a Dutch man, It is not simply an every thing that there is a torture chamber found. However, you have a mafia which the leader already got caught that probably also made sure a Dutch crime reporter got assassinated. There is a ton more but yea.
These torture chambers were linked to Roger P. One of the leading drug kingpins in the Netherlands, after the fall of Ridouan T. Although these chambers were ready to use, they never have been. One person has been arrested (Robin van O.), like showed in the video, and his case is currently running in the Netherlands known as the Martelkamer-zaak (Torture Chamber-case). This is absolutely not common in the Netherlands, and a spokesperson of the special unit declared that the actual units were shocked by what they discovered. The cases are still running, and probably will be for a long time. The suspect that has ordered these chambers to be made, Roger P., was already in prison for another crime and will be led to court soon. Hope this info gave you a bit of a background.
EDIT: A small error on my part, around 10 people have been arrested in this case, but currently Robin van O. is the only one being trialled for it. Excuse my English, it's not my native language and I might have made an error here and there. =)

I love the police spokesman making sure he wears a short-sleeved shirt, crossing his arms and squeezing his uppers unnecessarily to showcase his big veiny muscles.
Textbook case of "teased as a child, but now I'll show 'em".
The Dutch swat is more extreme they have full annonyms clothes and masks etc

That’s normal it’s done so people won’t recognize them when they are out with there families or whatever .
They are really not. These guys have militairy grade gear
@@koeng45 They're also mostly military personell who work with police officers in this team.
These guys are above the arrestatieteams
Every dutch city (and most villages too) have multiple of these torture containers. When we go to work on our iceskates we can see a lot of torture containers. It's a common Dutch thing I guess
:-)
Something I always do when watching these kinds of videos is open up google maps and see where the places are.
Nothing like that has ever been found before and it's so out of the ordinary it even freaked out the guys doing the raid. The investigation is ongoing.
Mfw i know what this place is and it's like 500m away from me
You should take a look at the Belgium police units or military
belgian DSU or Dutch DSI are pretty much the same. gear, training, missions. So he would just be watching the same thing :D
@@milanpauwels8861 yeah i know but still would be Nice some extra info and all that ahha
@@Bafke thats is true, but i personally think that the Dutch have better quality in video's especially on RUclips, and more professional. So knowing that the training and stuff are the same and belgium and the Netherlands even work together, its nicer to see more of the Dutch people :) but ye I get your point.
Woah. This is my first time learning about this too, and all I can think is that this is the kind of shit that you'd see narcos doing down in Mexico. BZ to the Dutch for the effective investigation, takedown, and followup.
The thing that people need to understand is that you don't just have Mexican cartel, you have Moroccan cartel, Spanish,German, Irish cartel they are all over.
Theres very little difference between cartels & terrorists, they start with different motives but end up in virtually the same place.
Shady 83 didn’t ISIL traffic narcotics to fund their arms?
While IRA & all the other terror groups in northern Ireland control organised crime, same in Afghan with the Drug war funding the Taliban. Terrorism is the cross road between organised crime & politics thats why it's so hard to make peace with terrorists, the violence gets more attention than the crime & maintaining "the struggle" ie keep derailing peace talks keeps their justification for funding in place. Its also why UK & Irish Vets are especially concerned about BLM & Antifa in the US election. The pattern is horribly familiar to both communities over here if the Democrats go down this road they will start something they will never be able to stop it even if they want to.
PS the only people that see terrorists for the thugs & mob they really are is the communities they claim to protect. That's why more Irish join the British army than the IRA including every generation of my family.
@@V.B.Squire I really enjoyed reading your comment, it provided a lot of insight into terror groups and their ties with organized crime. I do disagree about your hypothesis on the BLM movement, but I cannot comment on the Antifa, as I do not know much about the social movement. Black Lives Matter is not similar to a terror organization because from what I understand, the movement is particular based on awareness of issues involving those who are living in marginalized communities. I recall from what a man told me "try to join Antifia, try to join BLM, its more of a social movement" rather than a breeding ground for terrorism. I would say its almost like a public lobbying organization.
Cheers, mate!
I’m Dutch and this was huge news here I don’t remember anything like this that happened before
You should watch a video from the marsoff its also special dutch police
Torture chambers are very uncommon in the Netherlands, I think it's the first time I heard of them here, pretty scary stuff ngl
Okay, i Will explain it to you. I am Dutch. Here we go: the DSI is a high-end SWAT! It's members are a mix of Police SWAT, Marines SF (NL-Marsof) and Special Forces ( Korps Commando Troepen)! The best of the best. I heard this combination is unique in the world. This is the result of the famous Dutch" we do IT togehter style". What you saw is real! In the South of my country is a lot of xtc fabrication. And it's heavy crimenal business. And they transport it all over the world. Even the DSI didn't believen what the saw. You can also see a NL-Marsof Operation on RUclips. Dutch Marines in Action. A group of terrorists were heading in a van to execute a attack, i belief "the gay parade in Amsterdam". The marines attacked these men and arrested them. In Dutch: Arnhemse terroristen opgepakt". RUclips! All the "Swat-Teams" have Police Logos because everybody Knows what "Police" means👍😂! In the Netherlands we have, in order of apperance: At (Police arrest Team) they come to Arrest(!) you. Then you Upgrade with the DSI. They come to Arrest you and maybe(!) have to schoot you. And they expect you shoot back. Then you get the NL-MARSOF and KCT. These last two Intervention Teams will kill you in a Instant wenn necessary. No Problem. I am sorry for my Englisch writing but you understant me😜. Kind regards from a Former Dutch NL-Marsof Marine (33years now Ret🤭) and still love this stuff.
Hey Koos, I think ! Thanks for the reaction, now I don't have to write what you have said allready haha!
Jij kunt jezelf hier in huis onzichtbaar maken 😁!
You missed the fact that they even have quad NVG tubes at 4:20. Those are pretty rare and expensive. These guys are legit!
Hey man, cool analyzation of our Dutch Special Intervention team. This DSI does a very good job where something more advanced then the regular police is needed. I'm actually from the Netherlands, near de Wouwse Plantage, where this "prison" was found.
The foil on the inside is for making the content undetectable for heat camera's (Which they use a lot in NL, mostly to search for weed growers). That means if someone is inside the prison, it won't show up.
It's not a common thing in Netherlands that they find such things, but we do have a lot of major crime in Netherlands, that usually go undetected or found. I believe this is mainly due to the very low prison sentences, the fact that the prisons are more like a hotel in compared to the prisons in the USA, because NL is a very central country for transport to other countries, the prices for drugs are very low and extremely easy to acquire, the many laws actually in some cases protecting the criminals (for example "for their privacy") and because the criminals in general have more power over the police. (They are better funded, have better equipment etc, In addition, the police has to be very careful not to shoot a criminal, as they risk being taken to court, lose their job etc.)
Before the hacking of Encrochat, many criminals believed to be untouchable, as the Encrochat is a private satellite phone network using private servers. As they have "hacked" this Encrochat, they started to collect data for a very long time, and only acting when they really needed to prevent someone of getting killed for example, but mostly they just gathered intel for months and building cases against the criminals who felt completely safe using the Encrochat phones. This is also how they found out about this illegal prison, which was intended by the builders to extort/torture targets. You can think about other criminals who wronged them, people for ransom, or simply because they received a job to do certain things to certain people.
The "Fucking Hell", was because the police uniforms found are not fake ones, but actual official police uniforms in hands of criminals with bad intentions. Can you imagine the damage possible with them in the wrong hands. Besides these uniforms, you can see the "do it yourself" tools and dentist chair in one of the chambers, imagine what horrible things they were planning on doing to the people in there.
The "Many more results will follow" actually refers to all the data they have gathered over time with the Encrochat hack. This 26Lemont is a dossier which is part of all dossiers built up as result of that Encrochat hack. If you're interested, there are many videos and information about that Encrochat hack.
hello im from the nl and the dsi (diesnt speciale interventies) is an dutch police team that is an invasion team they invasion drugdealers or like containers with torture stuff or bases with high criminals so swat is basically like swat but lilttle bit different
DSI (Special Intervention Service) also raid houses related to drug smuggling etc. The DSI actually raided the house next to me but it wasn't as spectacular as this because it was just a normal house in a rural area. They mechanically breached the house and searched it for drugs, cash and weapons. It was an operation together with Interpol where they raided like 6 places in the Netherlands and a few more or less in Spain as well.
I think the only relatively common thing is at most maybe boats and houseboats can sometimes be growing boats (for weed).
I'm from belgium, a neighbour country of the netherlands and I speak the same language. He pronounces most city names surprisingly well
another fun fact is, that the Dutch DSI works really close with the SOF unit from the Royal Marines of the Netherlands, (NLMARSOF), and in this operation the DSI and NLMARSOF did work together, :) both of the units are Anti terrorism units, but NLMARSOF exists out of 2 squadrons, M-Squadron (Anti Terrorism) and C-Squadron (Specialized in deep diving, scouting etc)
I am from the netherlands , these torture containers where found on a raid that is also welknown as ''the mocro maffia'''
The DSI is a joint venture of Dutch National Police and army units such as Royal Dutch Marines and Commando's (Korps Commando Troepen)
