    Okay so I think an update is in place:
    Israfil Yilmaz probably died somewhere around 2016-2018. His cause of death still remains unknown, but there are some scenarios:
    1: He got killed by a coalition air strike on Raqqa (Syria) on 5 September 2016.
    2: He got killed by an air strike in the city of Tabqa while fighting the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces on 28 January 2017.
    3: A Dutch journalist claimed to have spoken to a former ISIS member who stated Yilmaz had left the Islamic State over ideological disagreements. He was living as a civilian until he was arrested while helping others escape ISIS territory and subsequently got executed around April 2018.
    The previous bombing reports would have to be faked in order for him to stay low. Jihadists faking deaths is not uncommon. This allows them to for example sneak back into their home country without facing jailtime.
    Don't forget he isn't as humble as he may seem in this video. On social media he defended the 2015 Paris attacks, the punishment of homosexuals, and sexual slavery in times of war. Just a typical ISIS fighter if you ask me.
    (I got the info from Wikipedia, you can go to the foot notes of his Wiki page to see all sources)

    Its far easier to imagine a terrorist as a medieval barbarian mistreating his subjects and slaughtering and raping civilians indiscriminately. Watching him use skype to talk to his friends and family and cherish the little things in life, that's just scary. A regular guy, educated and who could've led a great life as a great member of society. Seeing someone like him take this path is so depressing.
    ISIS sources say he was killed in an airstrike, while some Dutch journalists say he had left ISIS and lived as a civilian until he was found by those nutbags and was executed for helping people escape from ISIS territory. I find the latter scenario easier to believe, and I so hope its true.

      Well, according to his story he doesn't fit the idea of a terrorist. I haven't heard of any Ukrainians that went to defend their country and anyone referring to them as terrorists. They both notice injustice against "their" people or brothers and feel a responsibility to help.
      The different being Yilmaz is also talking about wanting to create an Islamic state, because Islamic law is the only justice regarding human rights. Well, most non-islamic countries would disagree. Especially when he, almost ironically, said there we so many pedophiles walking around here in The Netherlands. And Islamic countries notoriously allow child marriage.

    So, from what he is saying, he is there to ensure safety and help individually to stabilize the Syrian crisis rather than being out there for ISIS and doing rampage for the sake of the Sheria Law. To me, he seems very uptight, energetic, sympathetic and nice hearted individual. He has felt burdened for the lives that had been slaughtered by the Syrian government and decided to join the uprising. Until this part, his cause of joining was an logical move in my opinion. But, he doesn't see the fact that he trains and mentors those that will be most likely put into an maximum level of violence there and if not killed, they will behead and torture innocent lives or anyone from opposite side. Being an ISIS combat trainer doesn't and will not bring freedom to the oppressed people of Syria. Even if Isis takes control of the Syria and declares full independence without being invaded or interfered in both internal and external affairs, they won't be able to function like a strong government does. Isis is an terrorist organization that consists of amateurs in every field. Isis is full of gangbangers, cartels, thieves, rapists and all sort of perpetrators. How in the world does this yilmaz who is Turkish descent as me, think and support that ISIS is the solution for the stabilization of the Syrian land? incomprehensible. I myself feel enormously agitated, overwhelmed and so sad about the innocent lives being exploited over ignorant judgements. Yes, we MUST do something to revive the crisis into peace. But, it certainly doesn't come with being side on Isis. Isis soon or later will permanently cause the region deteriorate and the consequences will be seen for long years.

    • @Asur-tl4ru
      @Asur-tl4ru Месяц назад

      @HEMA-NRW First of all, you cannot call him a terrorist for going against said government, terrorism is by definition “the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.” You’d be obliged to prove that they go after civilians, and I’m actually glad you quoted just Muslims because of course everyone in Syria that doesn’t like the strict and oppressive government is a Muslim and not orthodox Christian or Jewish or any other faith. Then the other point, why does him having views you might disagree with make him a bad person? Punishment of homosexuals for example, if Muslims see it as immoral and a crime why objectively is that wrong? He likes his religious values so what, Christianity and Judaism also don’t condone it so, another thing. The paris attacks in 2015 I can confidently say aren’t supported by the majority of Muslims since it kills civilians / innocents which is the worst sin you can commit besides shirk, killing innocents in war will prevent you from even smelling heaven just saying this so you don’t associate that with Islam / Muslims. And killing a person is like killing all of humanity.

      So whats the solution? mass deportation? you do realize that the netherlands is already experiencing a demographics crisis and so deporting millions who work low skilled jobs will cause many problems dont you think especially when you shrink the already lacking labor force.
