This should be done more often in railway stations. It's wonderful.

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Perehaps if we the simple sound of military bands in more stations & public places people may feel more patriotic. Hiding them away is achieving nothing.

I was surprised by some of the choices when listening. Randomly you can't stop beat is just playing and just jamming to it.

Alright playing in Victoria station and calling it poppy day
But where will our soldiers be on Armistice Day or remembrance sunday in London
Not respecting our fallen soldiers who died in war
No they are going to let a Palestinian protest disrespect our fallen soldiers
if our fallen from the wars we have fought could see our soldiers now they would have one thing to say and call them now COWARDS for not protecting our country from these rebels who hate british people and customs and allowing this to happen
Remembrance sunday parades are being cancelled ex: Barry South wales because of disruption
Where are our soldier's when this happening hiding behind their musical instruments
Disgusted with them for our fallen soldier's
People are calling for support from our Armed forces all over uk but no-one has heard any support coming from them
Why because they are playing musical instruments in train stations instead of protecting our country
    COWARDS
we will be there protecting our fallen families memory even if our soldiers cant be bothered to do

Tina, this event is an annual event since 2010 where military bands from all three services of the British Armed Forces have performed to the public at London train stations supporting the Royal British Legion charity in a push for fundraising in the annual poppy appeal, raising money for serving and retired personnel who need the support. Separate from Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day.
These musicians are incredibly busy outside of supporting the Poppy Appeal for one day in November when they are supporting all other state ceremonial events, public duties and continuing training for their combat role where necessary. Remember these specific soldiers have been trained to both be high class professional musicians representing the country in the national stage and soldiers. Where each role is just as important as the other in international diplomacy. There is nothing cowardly about being in a military band, in fact there were a lot more bands at the time of the World War’s which you refer to and they had a very important role supporting the troops as medics, national security and providing morale to the public and fighting troops, all of which they still do today in their unique role.
There have been no troops deployed to support any actions against possible protests yet. I would suggest reading more into the topic or situation before writing a comment publicly as there is nothing cowardly about the ancient traditions of military music.

We get your frustration over the Palestian problem, however this is not the place to vent and disrespect our soldiers. Our Military are soldiers 1st, have other jobs within (eg mechanics/drivers/medics/welders/painters etc) and music comes in last. They are kept busy at all times as each Regiment is like a small city in their own barracks and look after themselves as much as possible without outside help. Each soldier would be assigned to duties that suit their particular talent. Those regiments who do have musical bands perform whenever they can and are very good at doing it, raising funds and morale boosting. They will most certainly be out there parading for those we lost...I too have many relatives lost in WW1 & 2 in particular. By the way there are many sites on utube to vent your view on the Palestian problem and we can also make our views known to our local MP's. Its also up to the Mayor of London to stop allowing the protestors! LEST WE FORGET!
