Very nicely done. I love the idea of the grill grates. If i may suggest, place a damp paper towel or rag under your cutting board. It will keep your cutting board from sliding. Keep up the great work.
Dave, you and Hungry Hussey are the reasons I bought my Blackstone. Thank you so much for an awesome style, humble attitude and fantastic instruction. My next purchase will be griddle grates and very soon the 36” air fryer combo! The 22” is going to be dedicated to the camper.
Thank you for watching and especially for taking time to comment! Thank you for your kind words! To put me in the same catagory with Hussey is a real honor. Thanks again and best to you and yours. Dave
Well, it's Sunday, my GrillGrate arrived last week and I did the chicken today. I goofed and started spatchcocking from wrong side. So I just quartered it. Still came out great, everyone liked it. I also used a smoke tube. You can do anything and everything on a Blackstone Griddle. Thanks for doing this video. Ron
Hey Dave. First Comment I ever wrote for ya. Well I've subscribed to your channel for the get go. Now I remember you had a 36" gribble. Well i still have mine. What i did was took the dome from a 32" round BBQ grill and cleaned it up and now it is my smoker top for the griddle. I used a lot of your tool and accessory ideas. keep them coming. loves and please keep cooking healthy. Yep, i remember when you went away from using so much oil on the griddle and the video on how to make the griddle top just like teflon -- IT WORKS.....
Thank you for watching and especially for taking time to comment! Awesome idea with the dome lid! Bet that would work great for pizza's. I'm going to do a vid about smoked pizza's soon. Keep an eye out for it. Thanks for your support over the years. Means a lot to me. Best to you, Dave
Hi Bob, I have th 22 inch as well and I love it, didnt think it would be big enough, but it works just as well as the 28 or 36. @ Dave and Hungry Hussy, keep the videos coming...
Very inspirational. I have a 12 inch smoke tube but I can always scale back the pellets. I don't have the griddle grates but I will try this without them before spending more money into my culinary hobby. Thanks again for a wonderful video ! My uncle lived in Redington before he passed a couple of years ago. Had a house by the bay, Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for watching and especially for taking time to comment! Sorry about your uncle but I'd bet you have some great memories. Redington and the Suncoast beaches are the best. Thanks again, Dave
GREAT IDEA Dave!!! I have a smoking tube and thought about using it on the Blackstone, just never have. Now I REALLY want to try it!!!! GREAT JOB DAVE!!
Dave, Excellent video. I'll be doing this on Sunday. Just ordered the Grillgrates for my 22" BS. I told them at GRILLGRATES that you are the reason I ordered them. I hope that helps. Ron
More videos!! Really enjoy your cooks. I have a 28” with no lid so now I’ll have to tell my wife I need a new 36” with a lid because Dave said so!! I’d like to try a smoking tube. Haven’t seen one of those before. Might have to do the pan method for now and try it. Thanks Dave!
Thank you for watching and especially for taking time to comment! You can order assortments of different pellets on Amazon. Small b ags of several types of wood. I'll put a link in the description.
Thank you for watching and especially for taking time to comment! That's why I do these video's. Not just to have people watch me cook but to inspire them to try new things. To adapt things to their own liking. You made my day. Thanks.
Haven’t seen you in a while. Don’t know if I’ve been missing your videos or what. I just got the 22 inch and am looking to do some different stuff. I’ve had the original 36 inch for years and love it.
GREAT video, Dave! I really like the style of your videos. Not to mention your griddling location - right on the water. Curious about your temperature control on the 22" Blackstone. I just bought one a couple weeks ago and am learning to use it. Even on the lowest setting, mine will climb to over 500 degrees in the middle of the cooking surface. I called Blackstone yesterday and they said this was normal. Do you have the same issue? Short of turning the burners on and off, how do you maintain lower temperatures for cooking things like eggs?
Thank you for watching and especially for taking time to comment! I know what you mean! My 36" could never get as hot as I wanted and the 22" is like the surface of the sun. Turning one burner off helps. Also, consider using a high quality stainless steel cooling rack and a pan or cast iron skillet on it to get it off the surface a little. Given the choice of too hot or not hot enough I'll choose too hot because it allows me to sear better. Hope this helps, Dave

I appreciate this video so much. I don't have room for multiple cookers, so knowing I can smoke and grill is selling me on the 22" Blackstone‼️
Thank you for watching and especially for taking time to comment!
We use ours all the time, my Weber gas grill just gathers pollen now.
X3 Dominator good to know, thanks! I've heard that griddles can handle anything a grill can do and more, but not the other way around.

Great cook. Looks delicious. Can you give more info on wind guards. I just got a 30" with lid and would like these guards.
Hi Rick. Thanks for watching! The wind guides are really pastry cutters. You can get them at almost any dollar store. Thanks again for watching!
I like the grill grates idea!

I could measure..lazy lol.

Thank you for watching and especially for taking time to comment! Actually, I don't have that one anymore. I have the 28" Pro Series now.
