    Hi Despina, are there different types of Tavas, many years ago I was taken to a little mom & pop Taverna somewhere in the Troodos area and we ate a rabbit Tava, I remember it was loaded with onions and had a strong flavour of cumin (κύμινο), it also had more of a curry like sauce than yours did. It was cooked in an old clay jar in an outside oven, it remains one of the best meals I've ever eaten and I'd desperately love to try and recreate it.

      Thanks yidarmy84. My favourite cut for Tava is loin chop, but shoulder works just as well :)
