Que, u came thru again. U helped me decide on my Steeda H pipe for my 19 5.0 with active exhaust... My boy at work heard it and decided the stock exhaust on his 16 SS Camaro isn't up to par.
I'm not a Chevy guy so maybe u can help. His SS only has the dual tips, not the quad like the stang. From what I've read that means its not the active npp....? I recommended the Borla S type, we searched for videos and here u were.
For a good sounding exhaust that wouldn't b to loud would u recommend this for a non npp car. I think the atak might be to loud w/o a quite mode. I know there's also Corsa but that's like $1300 vs the Borla @ $800. Idk, looking for input from a Camaro guy. I'm all Mustang and he don't mod cars, he just drives them. Thanx
Hey thats awesome! Glad I was able to help with the videos. Yup quad tips means NPP active exhaust. I can recommend the borla S type. It give it the deeper tone, just like the H pipe to the Mustang. I haven't hear Corsa in person but i was told the Borla S type is deeper. And yes a lot of people say the ATAK is loud. My Borlas were $1700 and I don't feel they were worth that price. I did get them with NPP and carbon fiber that adds quite a bit. If you can get the single tips for $800 I say go for it all day. Thats a good price and the S type won't make the neighbors mad. @@QueTheChaotic right on. I love the s types. Deff deeper tone. The atak and corsa get that higher pitch raspy tone. Summit racing has the s type axle backs with black tips for $810.99. I'll tell him to go that route. Thanks again. Love the vids.

Dang Man, you don’t mess around! Those carbon tips are beautiful! I’m thinking about 2nd cat deletes when warranty expires. Hey how was the lift process? Did you have to show the tech where to lift the car from? Lots of horror stories with lifts and damage. Great video.

Considering the same set up. I wonder if I wanted to, if the Borla logo could be removed cleanly. Kills it a little for me. On my carbon fuel filler door I unbolted the carbon pieces, had the door paint matched, then reinstalled. Looks really OEM+ now.

I love the sound my brother, I just bought a 2019 L /RS, V6 the same color as your car with only 3,024 miles on it. What do you think about me getting the same exhaust system? I had Flowmaster system on my Corvette, but loving the sounds of your exhaust system on your 2020 SS 1L
Borla makes a great exhaust in general. I haven't heard it on the V6 though. Congrats on the new ride

I totaled my first 17 redline ss last July and i found another one with only 1,550 miles on it and got it shipped from Minnesota to Philly. It arrived on my birthday but anyway, I never got rid of the suitcase on the other one. I will be getting an axle-b for this one. Have to. Sorry neighbors. My 10 ss had headers and Flowmasters. Mannnn.

There's a house right behind my driveway and that 10 cam ss with the headers was louuuuud and I leave for work around 11 at night so I couldn't be mad at my neighbors complaining. I have a couple of videos on my channel. I couldn't blame them for being annoyed, no npp on the 5th gen and I'm sans a garage. Que I'm terrified to drive the replacement because people here drive crazy especially these Mopar fools. I always think somebody is going to hit me or turn in front of me like the nut I hit did. (Jersey drivers are the worst). Anyway be safe out there and always drive accordingly.

@@QueTheChaotic I was walking my dog, he's a local celebrity and on Instagram btw....otterthepitbull, and I was talking to a guy like 2 blocks away with a vette. I told him about my loud exhaust and he was like I can hear your car start from here. That's when I knew it may have been too loud.
On the playing around with these mopars I don't do it. I drive like an old man. I'm not letting anything happen to this one and I'm loving this magnetic suspension.
What's crazy is i went to buy a Yukon Denali I seen online and the day before me and my wife went to look at it for my second time, it was her first time seeing it and she noticed some paint and body issues I didn't see, like I said I'm getting old. We told the salesman about what she seen and I was going to get it anyway. The next day we rode back to get it and it wasn't there. They said it wouldn't be back for several days because it was in the body shop and I was disappointed. I was looking for another camaro for the last 6 months before i seen the Yukon and I just didn't see any I liked. Anyway I came back home and I said let me look for a camaro one more time. Que they had just posted this redline that day and it looked just like the one I crashed and then the mileage....omg this thing is like brand new. Two weeks later on my birthday it was here. Cost me almost a 1,000 to ship it but I didn't care. I didn't even know some of the 2 ss's came with Mag-susp. I thought only the 1le's came with it.
The other one didn't have it. I've only driven it 3 times so far and it's almost been a month.
Now I have to decide if I'm getting a Borla or Stainless Works. They both sound good. The Borla's are more expensive but they definitely are worth it.

Get some long tube headers to make the exhaust that much louder, and you can gain decent power (after a tune) when doing the headers.

I went axleback for warranty reasons. But if you don't care about the warranty, I feel like the catback is a better value. At least over these Borlas.

Thanks a lot. I wish I had an actual number to give you. The Borlas are definitely lighter though. The stock spoiler was a big giant muffler and the borlas are 2 smaller ones
5lbs yes 5 lbs. One guy on here put them both on a scale. I really thought it would have been 20lbs

do you need to install the stock NPP back in, or can you just leave them disconnected when you add a new exhaust system?
You can leave the NPP disconnected. Borla makes the exhaust without NPP as well and its cheaper.
Do you wish you got the ATAK system instead or are you happy with the S-Type?
I'm happy with the S type. I wish it was as loud as the ATAK. I like the deeper tone of the S type

The MRT catback. It was the deepest and loudest. I would probably get them with mufflers. Its extremely loud without them
What are your thoughts on the S-Type now that you’ve had it for a couple weeks? Are you happy with your purchase?
I like the sound. It’s deeper. But I can’t say that it’s worth $1700. Not even $1000. I’d rather have spent the money on the Solo or similar exhaust and the ZL1 carbon fiber wing. The value just isn’t there if I’m 100% honest

QUESTION?? Did you do something to make it pop that much. I have the same car and I just got the s-type borla axle back aswell. But for some reason it doesn't pop nearly that much and I was thinking of trying to return it for the atak. But I don't even know if they will take it back.
I didn't do anything else to it. I did add an H pipe later on. Maybe a secondary cat delete will help

im stuck between the Atak and S-type, this sounds great but I don't want to spend $2,000 and regret it. I know its personal preference but so lost on what to do. Any suggestions?

@@QueTheChaotic How much louder is the S type compared to the Dual Mode Exhaust that comes as an upgrade on the camaro for 1k? I have that upgrade but not sure if getting the S type would even make it sound different/ louder. Also, does it sound better?

They came installed in the Borla
I mean the actuators,getting them set correctly with the orientation of valves

How much weight did you take off
I couldn't tell you. The stock mufflers are big and heavy so it took a decent amount of weight off
One guy put them on a scale here on you tube. It was 5lbs difference. Not what I was expecting

I haven’t heard them in person but a lot of people say they’re as good as Borla. No drone either.

@@QueTheChaotic Oh no shit, looks great. I got a 21 Satin Steel SSLE a month ago, loving it. Already got the rotofab catch can skip shift eliminator black out side markers rears, originally wasn't gonna do exhaust cause I actually like NPP but its so heavy so exploring some options.

Don't wanna blow the tires off, it's my retirement gift to myself from the service so when I get out in a few years I wanna drive to some of the tracks in america and do a few laps.
