Increadibly beautiful place to live! And also that cam is super nice and looks exactly what I wanted (an arm mounted remote, physical buttons, head mounting while allowing to head mount a lights). Thanks for the video.
ORDRO is excellent to deal with too. I had a few issues with my EP6 and they sent me a replacement very fast. These are a good value if you need an affordable hands-free FPV camera. Great review btw.
I really enjoy your reviews. This camera's been on my radar (or is that, in my "view?") for a bit. I want something comfy when I'm filming electronics stuff (mostly take-aparts, so I can get things back together again without a couple of extra screws left over ... ya know how that goes), and this looks like it would have a decent enough resolution to do that job so I can zoom in to see details in the reviewed footage. Thanks for the detailed review, and the video samples.
You can still make use of your EP5, just put the tiniest blob of superglue offset from/near where the touch sensitive button is, just so you have something physical near the actual touch sensitive area is for reference. Just a compromise/suggestion/workaround.
Thanks for your support. Besides, EP7 can be installed on a helmet or tripod to record, connect with PC to live streaming as well. More new usage methods welcome unlocked together.
Hey i bought this and i subscribed to your channel~ can u pls tell me what handheld gimbals can i use for this camera since ordro said it can be reattached to other mounters
@@PangetPeroMasarap well they said that it could be mounted on a helmet or tripod. Nothing about a gimbal. but any mirrorless camera style gimbal should be able to work. Just not sure how it would mount and balance.
I got my camera today! I just want to ask why it wont record video and said my memory card is full when my memory card is literally blank??😞 photo is okay without problem
That's a really neat looking setup. Good quality video and sound and the stabilization worked well. It would be nice if it allowed for mounting on a helmet. Though, I, sure 3M can help out there. Did I miss the link to it? And that Indian looked really nice indeed!
im thinking that it probably can be mounted with a few adapters. It does seem to have a standard tripod style mount. Links should be there. And yes his Indian is very nice!
I still have my contour camera which came out before the GoPro. It does off-road racing on the helmet of a 450 Rider. That was in 2010 it's still working to this day. It has gone through more abuse than all three of my now dead GoPros. They barely get bumped and they're gone.
Greetings from Brazil! Nice review my friend. Recently bought one of those and can't wait to have it delivered. BTW, I'm an Indian rider myself. Good looking Roadmaster your bud has! Be safe dude!
Hi! Thanks for the review! I have a question. Can this camera be used on a DESKTOP Mac mini or iMac wireless over WIFI or Blutooth? Thanks for considering.
Hi, first time on your channel. Liked and subscribed. Love the bullet form factor on action cameras more than the antiaerodynamic goproey bricks that flood the market right now. Would love to see a review of this camera riding those gorgeous bikes on the video. Btw, pretty nice place where you live, where is it?
Thanks for the wonderful review. Like how you had titles on all the footage. Would you recommend this a helmet cam for motorcycles? May I request labeling the parts that were stabilized.
Hi! I know this was 3 years ago, but hopefully you can respond to a question: Do you think it will be uncomfortable to wear this small camera if the person wears glasses?
DOES IT HAVE Dual Microphones for good quality audio? That will pick up most everything the naked ear will hear? Problem with alot of these cameras is the audio thats only good for up to about 10ft.
this is a couple of years old now but I would like to know what the Camera for photos setting is like for taking medium to short ragne phots close up? it says theres a zoom does that apply to photos too?
Thanks for this nice review. I bought it and I find it really nice for what I needed. The only thing I would like to know is if it's possible to set a time recording like, programming it to starts a new file recording on every 2min, so it doesn't get enormous video files to handle with it. I didn't find any way to do it on the OD app. If someone have any glue, I would apreciate. Thanks!
Bought this Cam a while ago, great little head Cam but can't get the silly free app to connect to it, for adjusting view angle and setting up things. Good video, beautiful place you live in, Cheers from Tasmania Australia
Hi. Thanx for the review. Had a question since theres not much info on the description of the product when buying it. Can it be used for video streaming trough a smartphone? Like, Discord / Twitch, as a camera input .
The version i have doenst. Not that I'm aware of, but Ordro did say that they were going to have a version available that did. Not sure if its our now or will be.
Can you use this camera to receive an incoming call? My old version can do that, but not sure if the version 7 still can do that. I'll order this cam soon. I want to see how good it is. Thanks for the review.
Hi, great video! I've been searching and searching for an FPV camera that could work as a solution for an app I'm creating. Is this an IP camera? Im hoping to use the camera to live stream my FPV on a video call using a smartphone , most likely android for the hotspot / wifi and the app of course . I know you have been asked this question several times but I couldn't find a response. Im looking at just a little mini ip camera used for security typically and hoping we can find a way to integrate it but this would be ideal because of the way you can wear it at eyesight level.
How do you get your OD CAM to connect? I can't get this to connect to my phone over WiFi. The blue light flashes but my phone scan will not pick it up. I can't even get this to connect when I connect USB to USB as a direct link.
Thanks for the review. Quick question, is it safe to drive with this to record POV driving videos ? One additional point is that I wear glasses, so wondering if there would be any issues here.
The longest I recorded for was about 45mins. But I probably could have gotten more. And im sure I could mount it to a helmet with some adapters. But no mic input. But for standard FPV video it definitely is pretty cool.
video quality in the app is quite good and yes there is a small lag, but thats with all cameras that are transmitting to an app via wifi. Its no worse than any other action camera ive tested.
Great review, Sir! May I ask, how is the device's temperature? Does it turn off like the GoPro when it heats up? Also, how is the zoom if there is one. The GoPro has a wide angle that makes shooting videos look far. I would like a camera that has a more magnified view. Thank you and more power!
Seems the EP Camera's do run hot. My EP6 had issues.. EP6 and EP7 now have firmware updates available and it seems to have helped on both models. They don't shut down now when hot.
What is the name or type of cable to fit the HD port at the back of the EP7 ? Can you make a video demonstrating how this port is used? Btw, I enjoyed your informative video!
Hi! just got this camera. I must have a very long nose as the tip of my nose keeps showing when I turn my head ;) quality of the sensor is so-so indoor with lights (grainy). I hoped for better but I guess that will do to capture some family moments in FPV! :)
cool little camera, and kind of what im after - i wonder what the footage would be like if you mounted and used a shotgun for clay shooting for instance?
I think that it would work well. the only thing that i wish was that you could switch sides that you mounted it too. Looks like its always on the right side. Would have been great if you could mount to either. Other than that ive been happy with the quality.
Does anyone know if you can buy a wall mount or stand of any sort for it, for potentially using it to then film simply STILL? I can't find any stand or mount accessories for it. Thanks!
They would be wearable with glasses, but since the arm of the glasses and the camera would be resting on your ear it becomes wider. But i actually tested wearing my sunglasses and the EP7 yesterday just to see and it was doable. Definitely better without glasses, but it works.
@@Gingerbeard hard to say. i really like mine and actually use it a fair bit when doing some videos that require a front-facing FPV style view. I wore it with sunglasses and it wasn't much of an issue. I, without question, prefer it to wearing a GoPro with some kind of mount.

Photo Mode: The camera also has a photo mode with 14 megapixel resolution. Photos suffer in dynamic range but can be improved with editing. Made with HARPA AI
Hi, I bought the camera, but I am not able to use it as a webcam, do you know how to do it? I see the icon "iStarCan" in my control panel, but nothing else that I can do on applications like Skype, Zoom, Webex, etc. Thank you very much for any help.
I've seen 2 reviews of this FPV cam now and both include just the 30fps videos - what is wrong with 60fps? Would that not be better focus / clearer while moving?
sure if thats what you want. but it also requires more light and if you are looking for a more cinematic look then 30 is better. I always work in 24p so 30 is much better. Plus (i believe) you do crop just a little when it goes into 60.
@@gregtoope I mainly use the rx0ii. The latest firmware update allows for continuous focus while recording but u have to half press the shutter. The stabilization isn't as good a gopro but the image quality is 5x better

4K Resolution Trade-off: Shooting in 4K 60fps results in a slightly narrower field of view compared to 4K 30fps.
Frame Rate Choices: The reviewer recommends 4K 30fps for wider shots and 4K 60fps for slow-motion effects.
Package Contents Explained: The reviewer clarifies the function of a mysterious wrench included in the package. It is for tightening the camera mount.
Overall Recommendation: The reviewer finds the EP7 to be a good option for FPV style videos and convenient for tasks like drone reviews.
Photo Mode: The camera also has a photo mode with 14 megapixel resolution. Photos suffer in dynamic range but can be improved with editing.

Nice 3-way camera setup (Main/side/overhead) 👍🏾
appreciated.
@@gregtoope You’re welcome
How is the audio quality? I'm thinking of using it while driving my vette.
actually i think the audio is great, since the mic is really close to your mouth.
Thank you for the quick reply. Great video by the way...
@@ppeller3 Thanks. I actually use the camera a fair bit when I need a POV-style shot.
Feel like the Borg? Sold!
Indeed!
Can i use this for whatsapp video call?
I dont believe you can with this version, but supposedly they are working on an updated version.

Don'r know where you went but that looks like Brewer Lake in Maine
Actually it was just outside of Algonquin Park in Ontario
How many hours van it record
what drone was it you were flying? I'm always scared of flying mine over water just in case it goes down.
that was a mavic mini
Can i use this record for oral surgery operations ? Can this camera focus closer distance?
How long can EP7 record? If chraget 100%? :)
Depends but i get around 45 mins to an hour
Hi, I bought the camera, but I am not able to use it as a webcam, do you know how to do it? I see the icon "iStarCan" in my control panel, but nothing else that I can do on applications like Skype, Zoom, Webex, etc.
Thank you very much for any help.
Did you figure this out? I am trying to search if a solution already exists.
How to connect to wifi or OD app?
battery, how long?
about an hour
I've seen 2 reviews of this FPV cam now and both include just the 30fps videos - what is wrong with 60fps? Would that not be better focus / clearer while moving?
sure if thats what you want. but it also requires more light and if you are looking for a more cinematic look then 30 is better. I always work in 24p so 30 is much better. Plus (i believe) you do crop just a little when it goes into 60.
Forgot to ask, did your buddy get his swingarm fail fixed? (Jim???)
Yes he did. He's back riding.
That's cool Greg! Good to hear.
Is there a better FPV camera you’d recommend?
Not that ive tested, but that doesn't mean that there isn't one.
How long it could record? Do you feel hot when you record it after 30 minutes?
my guess would be around 45mins to an hour. And I've never felt any heat from it.
Pretty cool. Looks just like a gopro in image quality
Id say the gopro is better, but close enough for me. Plus this is just way more convenient.
@@gregtoope I mainly use the rx0ii. The latest firmware update allows for continuous focus while recording but u have to half press the shutter. The stabilization isn't as good a gopro but the image quality is 5x better
@@nyrubin nice. sounds like a nice camera.
