  • Determine the volume of an excavation with P2P technology. This functionality also allows for complex volume measurements by taking the angle of the slopes between the top and the bottom of the excavation in to account.

    Works great! Exactly what I needed.

    Hi, Can I calculate the volume of the self-leveling compound in the house, using this tool with these special technics? Thanks in advance!

      Well it is possible but it’s not the main use case I would say.
      This is a tool that was developed to calculate volume of excavations and this use case is exactly the opposite.
      What you could do is:
      1. Measure the area from the self-levelling compound when is dry
      2. Measure a point on the base of the floor (if visible and if the floor is all even)
      3. This will calculate a simple volume, with the assumption that the floor beneath the self-leveling compound layer is flat.
      Important to mention that the floor must be visible after the self-leveling compound Is applied, otherwise it doesn’t work.

    Can this laser measure vinyl liners in pools and should we use earthworks or plan p2p

    • @LeicaGeosystemsCH
      @LeicaGeosystemsCH  Год назад

      Thank you for contacting us. In general it should be possible to measure on vinyl liners as they are used for pools. Since we do not have this material in front of us please do some test measurements to ensure there is no restriction. Regarding function, the P2P Measure Plan is for defining the ground plan. By exporting the raw dxf you can also get the 3D dimensions for CAD. Earthworks would be the right for getting the volume of the excavation. Hope we could help with this.

    hola quisiera calcular los angulos respecto del Norte en diferentes puntos, para calcular las sombras sobre una superficie, es posible ? que alternativa tengo con el Disto s910?

    • @LeicaGeosystemsCH
      @LeicaGeosystemsCH  Год назад

      Hello. The DISTO itself does not calculate the angles to the North coordinates. This you could do then afterwards in a CAD program.

    Can the DISTO X4 ( or DISTO S910 ) in conjunction with a LEICA DST 360 - do STAKE OUT ?

    • @LeicaGeosystemsCH
      @LeicaGeosystemsCH  2 года назад +1

      2. This depends on what you expect as a result. The DISTO™ X4 with the DST 360 can be used in the P2P measurements to measure the 1st point and when then starting the tracking for the second point (press and hold DIST key for about 2sec) the P2P distance will be tracked. This means you can move slowly to a second point until a defined distance is reached. It is not possible to track levelled values, only the slope distance will be tracked.
