  • So I decided to go ahead and modify a SteelDive SD1968 or MM300 homage with a nice dial change...
    the stem broke.....its a monobloc case (can't open the back)
    then the movement went crazy!
    but at the end it was all fixed!!
    if you want to see the full detail on how to remove a broken stem from nh35 movement and how I fixed these issues, the full part 1 and part 2 videos are on my modding channel, see below:
    / @just4themodderz37
    you can also contact me for any modding services and dial/hands purchase
    The.watcher2020@outlook.com
    I strongly suggest this mod isn't worth doing as I have had 2/3 stems break on this particular style of MM300, stay tuned as I will be doing this to the Proxima!

    A nice video proving what I always say : Steeldive are the gamble watches.
    May be very well done but may also have the very important QC and quality issues.

    Good video...so sad that you had all those broken stem problems but I consider those learning experiences. I like how you changed out the chapter ring to match the bezel insert. I think it adds that tie in just right. Appreciate the work.

    Can i do the same with heimdallr mm300 bronze case to changing the dial?Otherwise how can i take out the bezel?

    that spinning hands where quite funny. good to see that steeldive can copy the seiko bezel click mechanism.
    I think you can also pop off the bezel, while the glass stays on and then remove the glass and a metal ring that has some notches with your usual caseback opening tool.

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  3 года назад

      Yes you can but the bezel is glued on so not pressed, which then messes up the bezel alignment and fixture. The click spring doesnt work aswell as under the bezel they still use curved teeth and not slots like Seiko bezels. Yes that helicopter feature was pretty cool!

    Hi mate , do you think San Martin have the same system of Steeldive ? One of my fiends broke the Tije as yours … ciao!

    I think you showed the broken stem removal from the crown in one of you other videos, but would you have any advice for a crown that may be epoxied on(I am having a similar problem with stems as you when trying to get a piece of dial printing out of my San Martin)?

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  2 года назад

      You need to get a strong grip of the stem in some pliers, just above the keys and turn the crown very hard. Hold just below the thread on stem

      my steeldive mm300 fell to the ground. He broke off an index finger and now runs a minute a day. Seeing your video I understood how to open it and arrange the index. However, if I want to access the adjustment system lever, can I do it without breaking the stem? (Sorry for my English)

  • @sukhjitsingh6288
    @sukhjitsingh6288 3 года назад +1

    Why didn't you go for a black Seiko dial instead of a black steeldive dial.

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  3 года назад +1

      To make it more youtube friendly, plus the steeldive mm300 isn't that good so I wouldn't put a seiko dial inside it

    Unrelated question about Heimdallr . 🦈 Shark logo being solid or not deciphers if it's a real one ? Really ? Lol please elaborate 😁🥂🎅

    • @TheWatcherReviews
      @TheWatcherReviews  3 года назад +1

      Yes, so the 'original' heimdallr logo is a shredded shark, whereas the fake sharkey is more of a solid tuna shape lol

      That 'fake' sharkey is built by Beijing Infinite Time, as a lower-grade complement to their Merkur/Seizenn lineup.
      It is good because it is confirmed to be fully-compatible with all Seiko parts and intended to be mod-fodder.
      Back in the day, Beijing Infinite Time used to build select models for Heimdallr/Sharkey (And they still do).
