Thank you so much for the heads up about scratching the date. Your a very good teacher with good detail at explaining things. also i understand why you pushed the dial in bith sides One time I went to push the movement in and it flipped🤭 🙏( also your english is very good)
Great video! I have a Steeldive SD1972 and while the sunburst blue dial is very nice, I want to swap it for a different one and keep the old one. It was great to see someone working on a Steeldive, now I know I can do it! For a little while there when you were placing the seconds hand, I thought you were going to say: "...but not for me, because I am Superman!" Well, it's a super video, man! Great attention to detail - not too fast, not too slow, and your background music is pleasant and unobtrusive. SO many RUclipsrs get that *WRONG* but yours is the way it should be. I just found your channel and I subscribed because I hope to see more Steeldive work in the future. They are *well above average* homage watches and I really love mine and will buy more from them. Thanks again and best wishes. It looks like we share a name, as well. :) It's a great name!
Great video thank you for uploading. I noted the Steeldive SD1953 Dial Size is 31.25*29.50*27.50*0.40mm but you replace with a Seiko 28.5mm dial, I assume the 1mm difference is okay? Also, would this work in the quartz SD8205, assuming it uses the same dial as the SD1953?
I always thought the dial size was 28.5mm😁😁 But anyway, it fits perfectly. About SD8205, I'm not sure, but the watch seems to be identical, so probably can try
Fantastic job! Do you have any video and advice for changing the standard bezel on the SD 1953 to a GMT one? Thanks again for such a professional and helpful presentation.
Thanks!😊 First, I was using nail polish remover. Soaked tge bezel in that liquid for about 10-20min, but recently I tried popping out the crystal instead. It seems to be faster and easier. First, remove the crystal, then I use a flat screwdriver to lift the insert carefully all around. But be careful, I broke one already😅😅
@Resolute900 I haven't tried removing the bezel from this model, afraid to scratch the case. So far, removing the crystal for changing the bezel insert is the easiest option for me
Thanks, do you happen to know if there's a caseback in that spec that can be opend with the wrench instead? and I have ordered a 7mm crown that just arrived today, and it seem a little bit bigger than the crown that came with the watch? Thank you in advance for all your help!@@ShortBetter
@@ShortBetter Nice. Don't know if you remember me asking you a couple of questions before, at this stage I have all the tools (still need to get the silicone blue gel) you have. A little bit more courage on my side, I am ready to do a mod. Thanks for all your inspirations and answers. It is a great hobby!!!
Hi, unfortunatelly no. It's kind of a gamble if you don't know the exact size of the quartz movement. Most of the time, even the dial size will be the same, but the date window will be misaligned.
Sorry, I got confused about the dials a bit. Unfortunately, I don't have the link for this one, I ordered it from a local store in Thailand, but there are identical dials on Aliexpress for sure!
Maybe a stupid question but when putting a non date dial on a nh35 (date movement), firstly, that is possible right? Secondly, is it necessary to also align it as shown in the video since it's non date? Thankyou
Yes, you can put literally any no-date dial if it's 28,5-29mm. You don't need to line it up perfectly since you can't see the date. Just aim about that midnight mark, and it's should be enough
Im sorry, i'm very new to the modding and thanks to your clear explainations im gonna try to do it for the first time haha. Another question if you don't mind. The Pagani Design Datejust PD-1645 (NH35, 40MM) a 28,5 mm dial will fit right? Basically any 40mm watch with a nh35 will need a 28,5mm dial?
I will recommend you an easy solution. Instead of replacing the crown, just sand the logo off and then polish it again. It is easier than it sounds and looks factory-made!
Just managed to save it in 4k resolution, should I upload it in better quality? Or FHD works for you guys?

Then ofcorse it would be better and easier to just replace the bezel insert, rather than the whole bezel..right?
Is that advisable in your opinion?

Hello, on Aliexpress in the reviews they write about a worse bezel on the updated version of the watch. What do you say, did not compare?
In the "new" version they changed only a bracelet clasp 😁😁 The bezel quality is excellent as always
