Thanks bro. Great examples. Just want to throw in that the total length of the exhaust from the headers or turbos back to the end of the tail pipe / pipes, along with the placement location of any resonators can significantly impact the overall sound, including drone, cabin sound and outside sound. Besides my 1994 Honda Accord EX wagon I also have a 2019 Infiniti Q50 3.0tt which I've done extensive exhaust experiments on. It's been quite the experience. Flow and sound frequency along with drone elimination has been a wild process. Testing hemholtz resonators, J-pipes, pipe diameters, etc. Additionally, calculating intake diameters and testing performance amongst over at least 100 different setups has been mind numbing but rediculously interesting. 😅

I agree the location of the muffler/resonator definitely makes a difference but for simplicity sake I just opted to slide them onto the end to give a general feel of what each one does.
I've also played with the Helmholtz resonators and stuff like that. Plan to throw the expansion chamber looking one on my e36 and see what that does. Really just need to get a slip roll to be able to properly make them though. This first one I made is a little rough haha

I just recently straight piped my GD3 Fit *caught caugh* small air leak *caught caugh*
It's not turbocharged, but it sounds similar. To put it into perspective for the audio in the video, it does have a similar sound, it is loud enough to upset neighbors, it made a huge difference when I removed the resonator, but as soon as I put the stock muffler on, it's only a little louder than the stock sound, which I find funny. I don't know much about exhaust modifications, like doing different resonators, mufflers and the such, but if it had a tiny resonator to give the sound a small dial back for the rasp and a muffler to do a little bit of clean up, it would sound nice. I don't know much about mufflers, except that they muffle the sound, but it would be great to just be able to dial the noise back a tiny bit to make it clean, nit annoy the neighbors, but also at the same time sound super mean.

Yeah get a vibrant bottle resonator. It'll quiet it down a touch and help get rid of the rasp.

Thanks for the science experiment. I'm planning on getting a turbo kit from you once I get another daily. I'm trying to do this oem+ and have it pass smog test. Can you make a kit with a HFC and bungs for the o2 sensors? That and maybe defoulers would have it passing over here in Georgia.
Also, what should I do if I wanted the blow off valve to sound more like the air brakes on a big truck? Tsssss

      Hey!
Yeah I could do it with a high flow cat and all the bungs, that's not a problem.
And as far as the sound you want for the BOV there are a ton of different styles and I can use the one that makes the sound you're looking for.

Love this video. Wanted to see more testing with that mega phone tho 🥹

I'm gonna put it on my e36 and see.
It also came out a lot more square than I wanted it to, I should have cut more slits to bend in. I'll see how it sounds and most likely get a slip roll to be able to properly make them.
