    Excellent detailed instructions! I really appreciate your instructions. My husband used to install and set up my printer, and he just died from cancer. Then, while I was trying to make copies of photos and write his memorial, ink from a NEW cartridge spewed all over the bottom of my printer. Now, I have researched which new printer I will buy, and your video will really help me, an untechie person, to set up my new printer. THANK YOU LOTS!!!

    I just got my ET 3850 today and was apprehensive about setting it up. I always had problems with inkjet printers. I turned you on and followed with you step by step and it has been a pleasure. Thank you so very much. Everything went smooth and was so easy, with your demonstration. Again, Thank you very much. Now, I can finally print out my Divorce papers. Thank you.

      Thank you @shaniawlfgrl so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. As far as the music is concerned, if you watch some of my earlier videos I do explain that I sometimes have to use the music to help cover up some of the verbalizations my autistic son sometimes makes in the background. People who do not know, have made comments in the past that it sounds like somebody is being beaten. Again, it is only verbalizations but I can understand how it sounds. Nowadays my son does not verbalize in that way as much, so you will see my newer unboxings and setup videos have much less music. Hope this helps explain it and that you now understand. Have a GREAT Day.

I am sorry that your message somehow got put it my "held for review" tab and I did not see it until now. I hope all was fixed. If not, you should be able to do a factory reset (in the settings menu), and start over. I neither work for Epson, nor am I a tech. I am a purchaser of the printer but I THINK this may help solve your issue. If you got a better answer elsewhere, please reply and let others know what you did to rectify the issue. It may be helpful to others. Thank you and Have a GREAT Day.

    Very informative. Thanks for the detailed review. I currently use a B&W Laser printer for everyday printing and an Epson 1400 Photo printer for color. Both are 10-12 years old so I'm thinking replacing both with the ET-3850. Thanks again for the detailed information.
    But PLEASE ditch the guitar background music...

    • @ResslerMania
      @ResslerMania  11 месяцев назад +1

      Glad it was helpful! Mentioning the background music, as a new viewer, you are unaware that I use the music to help cover up the background noise. One of my children is Autistic and he makes noise that could be misinterpreted by people like yourself who are obviously not consistent viewers. Hope that helps with your understanding of why most of my videos have background music. Have a great day

      @@ResslerMania No problem with having background music. Most of my RUclips videos also have background music. In fact, selecting the right background music is, for me, the most challenging part of the content creation process. As for the printer... I'm still trying to decide but do appreciate the info you presented. Thanks..

    a question for you. Great detailed video, thank you. I'm curious what you think about the 'maintenance box' that needs to be replaced yearly. I'm planning on getting this printer but just listened to another reviewer mentioning the MB. Wondering if this will be a deal breaker. 🧐🥴

    • @ResslerMania
      @ResslerMania  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for the question. The maintenance box is around $15 to $20 US dollars, and you only have to replace it when the lid screen tells you to. It is where the extra ink goes when you run a "clean print head" function; which is not very often. Replacing every year is a bit of an exaggeration unless you need to clean the print heads more than the average person. Hope that helps.

    Install ET 3850 yesterday all OK. This morning it will not print as offline. how do you switch it on line. MAC

    • @ResslerMania
      @ResslerMania  2 месяца назад

      I am very sorry but I do not have a Mac. I also have no affiliation with EPSON, nor am I a tech. I am a consumer like you, I just videoed my experience and report what I learned. My first thought is to turn off the Mac and the printer. Unplug the printer for 5 to 10 minutes to clear it's memory. Then plug it back in and turn them both on again. Small chance that will work.
      I will also keep your concern up in hopes a more technical person can better diagnose it. Hope this helps and have a great day 👍

    • @ResslerMania
      @ResslerMania  Год назад +1

      Thank you Steve Bynum so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. The USB cable is used for different reasons. The most common is if you are on a shared wifi and you do not want to share the printer (like in a college dorm, etc) you can connect it straight to your computer with the USB cable. Hope this helps. Does this printer scan double sided documents automatically or does it prompt the user to flip the paper?

    • @ResslerMania

      Thank you Brandy Ferguson so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. Unfortunately, at this price point, printing is the only auto double sided feature. There is no secondary scanner in the lid so you will have to either pay a lot more for that feature or flip the page. Hope this helps. Have a GREAT Day.

      Thank you Millicent Zarate so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. so it said remove all the protective material, and I thought the flimsy clear piece that is around the ink cords, it was open so I tried to pull and then cut it? did I just break it before I can use it?

    • @ResslerMania
      @ResslerMania  10 месяцев назад

      Thanks for watching and commenting. If it is what I think you are asking about, you did not break it, but you may have voided the warranty. This is usually not a big deal because HISTORICALLY, these printers seem to last long after the warranty period in over anyway. Again, if I understand what happened, it is just the cable covering that helps reduce the wear and tear on those cables. It should still work fine, just possibly not last as long as it normally would have. Hope that helps.

      Thank you brenda studebaker so very much for watching our video and taking time to comment. We really appreciate that. I just tested it out with card stock and it did very well. It does do double sided printing with document printing but the old card maker software I had did not have double sided printing option so I could not test double sided with card stock but it should be able to since it does double sided with regular word document printing. Hope this helps. Have a GREAT Day.

      @ResslerMania  11 месяцев назад +1

      You can simply hook it up straight to the computer without having to set up the wireless printing option. However, if you need to print wireless than I assume you are talking about the step where you need your router password. On the bottom of your router, you will see your router's password. It may be called something else like PASSCODE or PASSLINK or such. Hope that helps.

      So sorry you are having difficulties. Perhaps things changed slightly since I purchased the printer, but I showed step-by-step how I set mine up to my home network. When I set mine up through the phone app, the only password I needed was my wifi network password. Following the instructions on the app (as I did in the video) had me up and running without much difficulties. The app never asked me for a printer password, only the network password. Sorry I could not be more help.
