Hi Greg! One of the Walmarts in my area is in the process of minimalizing their “Fine Jewelry” department. I picked up the WV-200R in tan today for $9! I picked up the AE-1500WH in green a couple of weeks ago for $5! As always I appreciate you coaching me through setting them up!🤠
A great video, as usual! Although I only have three “atomic” watches, I have begun not to trust my other watches, as if they displayed the wrong time. Which is usually not the case, being my other watches mostly Casios, so very accurate.
Request (I couldn't find it in your video back catalogue): review of the W-1000H (WS1000H). An ultra-cheap, full-featured entry-level watch of moderate proportions. Unknown and highly underrated, IMHO
Hey Greg, do you ever feel bad for the watches in your collection that don't get a lot of wrist time? I'm up to 11 watches in my collection so far and I've noticed that I'll rarely wear some of them and I feel like I should either make an effort to wear them or sell them.
Good day all, does anyone know if this watch operates in the Atlantic Time Zone? Based on the settings, not seeing any countries/territories from said region. Any clarification would be appreciated.
Sadly I live in Australia with no atomic clock coverage. Greg I have heard there is a phone APP that can relay the atomic clock signal via blue-tooth to a connected mobile phone. Is it true? Do you know what APP does this? Thanks Greg great, great instructions from the Casio guru.
Greg, I bought the Casio 5161 WVA-M630, a few years ago. It was working fine. In Oct 2, 2023, I brought it to Taiwan. I transferred through LAX at Midnight. It did not update the time in LA. I got to Taipei and the time never changed to Taipei time. Some Casio worker change the AM to PM but I don't know what she did. Today is Oct 27, 2023, but the Watch still has not change the time since Oct. 2, 2023! What should I do? Hard reset the watch by removing the battery and reset it? Thanks
Would fit fine I think. It has 11 holes on the strap about 8mm apart and my small wrist of 38mm circumference is on hole 5 (counting up from the watch face) of 11. One thing... the watch face is not as big as videos and photos may lead you to believe
If it's +-15 sec per month then i don't need to leave the atomic update automatic. I can update it once per 2 months manually and this way the battery can get to 7 years.
How come its only Multiband 5 ?? There are officially 6, USA, UK, Germany, Japan, which has 2 Radio Connections, and China, why has one band disappeared from is Casio model.? Very odd! 🤔
Probably just using an older, cheaper radio design. Not worth the cost at the price point. (In truth, Casio should stop making any old model like this that's not worth upgrading, as it's just e-waste.) They just keep the production going as long as it sells.
Most of the "atomic" watches I've purchased in the past 5 years have Multiband 6 but, prior to that, Multiband 5 was more common with Casio Wave Ceptors for a little while. (I'm not sure what year China activated their atomic time radio station.) So this one seems to be using an older bit of technology. Meanwhile, basically all other "atomic" watches from Casio made these days are still using Multiband 6 technology.
The multiband 5 is not an addition to the new modules, it's mostly the LED light which is new. You can find a 10 year old video with WV 200U 1AVER which looks exacly the same, and has multiband 5, and this is the one that has been sold outside the US. I have the 200A and live in europe, but I can receive the from UK sender.
I wonder why Casio decided to omit the Chinese market with these. All G-Shocks that get radio signals are multiband 6. In any event, i have never had an interest in these because they don't have solar. I don't want to be futzing with a battery every 2 years. With the exception of vintage quartz, my collection is mechanicals and solar watches. i have started to amass a collection of Seiko Astron GPS sync watches.
Multiband without Tough Solar? Savage.
I, also like to live dangerously

Impossible to resist at those prices, no matter which watches you already have.
I just got this watch yesterday, I now want the blue version! Very nice timepiece!

Great video as always Greg, thank you for your content
Thanks Greg good video 👍 I wish we had radio control in South Africa

Thank you for posting this. Always enjoy your comprehensive and very informative videos.

With you on this one. I have three and I think they're too much, two would be fine.
Got give you credit, your videos are great
I have the blue one here in the uk we don’t see them very often 👍
I would prefer to have solar than the atomic time if I had to choose.

One of the time zones you can select on this watch is "YHZ" which corresponds to Halifax, so, yes, it can be set to the Atlantic Time Zone.
@@GoodTimekeeper Good day, thanks for the response.
Display shows MIA and NYC , which is also part of Eastern time zone ( Atlantic board) I believe

You could buy a clock that syncs with Bluetooth to your mobile phone. It is a alternative in countries where atomic clock is not available.
On Android, I am using WWVB Emulator. It works through the phone's speaker.
Does the timer has Autu Repeat option and the Alarm has Snooze ?

hi, please do a gw 9500 video..really looking forward to it...
how does the watch fit? I got big wrists so its always a concern for me sorry.

Nobody need commie time.

There are plenty solar and atomic time G-shocks. A lot of GW, GWX, GM-W...
