He's just being his genuine, honest to goodness self and people can't help but watch him, just sitting down having a quiet conversation is so captivating, he exudes wide-eyed optimism and youthful exuberance, it's really a sight to behold lol people are laughing at his expressions when he's being completely serious, what a guy. In all my 40 something plus years, (lol) I've seen a few celebrities, famous people, and, "childhood heroes," come and go. Some well before their time, and many well too young for anybody to die. But NONE of them have affected me as deeply as when I heard that Steve Irwin was gone, I was about as devastated as anyone who didn't know him personally could be. Even though anybody could see something happening a mile away, with how close to wildlife he was literally every day, of course I wasn't surprised but it REALLY shook me to my core all the same. The entire WORLD lost significantly the day Steve Irwin died. 🙏

The man was so present. You could look at the man and know he was 100% in the moment where ever he was. You didn't see him moaning about the past or just hoping for some day in the future. He was just right there with all his soul and energy. And he knew as long as he was who he was that the future would just take care of itself. We could all take a page from his book and apply it to our own lives.

Steve was intelligent, quick witted and amazingly self aware. He knew some people thought he was a little over the top, but he realized that was the best way to get his message across because David Attenborough has the same message but is boring and has lower ratings, although he is still alive at 95. I also like Steve’s idea of buying animal habitat which is why I support the Nature Conservancy in the UU. and globally.

I miss Steve and his enthusiasm. He was infectious and after all of this time living without him it was refreshing to see this interview and remember how incredible he was. He, unlike many of us has produced a legacy that survives him. I tonight saw the interview of his son Robert, now 18 years old, on Slavlan and I was astounded to see Steve reincarnated. The best thing about Steve is the emotions he draws out of people. Just look at the extreme words of emotion seeing Robert now and Steve in the past has produced in me and drawn out in my comment. Only in death did Steve ever slow down for a rest. He was a mate to me and he never met me. My students see my passion for science done in a similar way. Steve was and is still a bloody legend and so is his lovely family.
Being like Steve is absolutely nothing to be embarrassed about. I strive to be like Steve. I like being American, but if I were an Aussie, he'd make me proud.
Steve was a beautiful man. He makes jokes at his own expense about his intelligence but it's obvious how emotional and perceptive of a human he was. Everything he said about his wife and his children has only become more and more true as time has gone by.
Andrew Denton is an amazing interviewer, and it was this interview opened my eyes to how "real" Steve was. I always considered him a bit of a joke, like you can hear a bit of from the audience in the beginning, but Steve won a lot of people over with his genuineness. There was no artifice or guile. He was exactly like he appeared on TV.
When he talks about being scared, it makes me wanna put my hand on his🫀Yes to comfort him, want him happy. But I also wanna feel it go didi-ih-ih-ih-ih.

This guy...I have no words. His passion for animals, family, and all things important was unsurpassable. This world needs a fraction of his love and energy towards making our world a better place.

It’s amazing how much Bindi and Robert look like their dad. Bindi has his eyes and Robert is just Steve made over. I adore them all and so sorry for their loss. The world lost a legend and he would be so proud of his children now. Good people. ❤

I miss Steve and his enthusiasm. He was infectious and after all of this time living without him it was refreshing to see this interview and remember how incredible he was. He, unlike many of us has produced a legacy that survives him. I tonight saw the interview of his son Robert, now 18 years old, on Slavlan and I was astounded to see Steve reincarnated. The best thing about Steve is the emotions he draws out of people. Just look at the extreme words of emotion seeing Robert now and Steve in the past has produced in me and drawn out in my comment. Only in death did Steve ever slow down for a rest. He was a mate to me and he never met me. My students see my passion for science done in a similar way. Steve was and is still a bloody legend and so is his lovely family.

Steve was a beautiful man. He makes jokes at his own expense about his intelligence but it's obvious how emotional and perceptive of a human he was. Everything he said about his wife and his children has only become more and more true as time has gone by.

Andrew Denton is an amazing interviewer, and it was this interview opened my eyes to how "real" Steve was. I always considered him a bit of a joke, like you can hear a bit of from the audience in the beginning, but Steve won a lot of people over with his genuineness. There was no artifice or guile. He was exactly like he appeared on TV.
Love how when he's talking about what scares him. None of it is animals. What a human 😍
