It's not about ignoring or hating, he's just well known for his incredibly long drives. It's also something along the lines if you would ask 100 golfers who they think are the world's top 5 putters, I'm pretty sure none would say DeChambeau. Again, not hating, just stating facts. I wish nothing but the best for Bryson though. Great win, hopefully he'll win Masters too some year!
From what I’ve seen his lag putting is insane, seems to either lose focus or get overly calculated on 6 feet and in at times. Missing birdie opportunities. Once everything clicks, he’s be unstoppable, like a create a player on Tiger Woods PGA Tour
Dang I have huge respect for him. At first it was different and we don't like change but what he's doing with cobra and not just hopping on taylormade. He's crazy good now all that practice really shows.
Bryson is an amazing guy & an amazing player! My young golfer son also adores him so much! Bryson came from a poor family & separated parents (like Mathew Wolff). Growing up in Central Valley California, at times he did not have enough money for a decent lunch. He did not go to any country clubs or have an accomplished golf lineage to get him any breaks. He is given so much hate, only because he does not play the victim card & is a white male who is strong, courteous & righteous! We love him. We are middle-class Californians who are not white & can clearly see the charade of the mass media, pop culture & politics. Bryson will be the next big thing after Tiger. He is mentally so strong because of his tough upbringing & he has the talent & brains to do it! But never mind, media wont admit it as he does not fall in their feel-sorry-for, victim category. Which is actually a good thing for Bryson, as he wont have to deal with media frenzy that much! Go Bryson, we are rooting for you!
Liked him as golf player and even more as a person ( from the interactions with fans I’ve seen) already. Now finding out he’s a California kid and grew up the way he did makes me like him a hella of a lot more. He’s my favorite player now, along with Tiger, who’s also from Cali.
Congratulations Bryson! Been saying it to all the haters, he is going to win a lot of tournaments before his career is over. I swing single plane and hitting the ball better than ever!
I have to say, I absolutely love DCB. Heart, passion, power, and the most incredible putting.. but more than anything, he pumps the crowd, and I love that!
Pretty disgusted with the PGA that immediately after Bryson showed he could all but drive a par 5 by cutting the water, they institute a "special rule" that will pretty much only affect Dechambeau in the Players Championship. How many times did they institute rules that affected Nicklaus and Palmer?
So I'm new to golf and I can't understand why people are complaining about someone using his physical strength and precision in long range drives to find new lines and then finish with good putting? Much rather see someone keep the game varied than listen all the ridiculous American shouting and obnoxious commentary.
Bryson is the best thing ever happened for pga tour golf fans after Tiggy era. Especially now that Tiggy has left the active player role most likely for ever.
No really, people hate him because they THINK he's changing the game but he really isn't. Hitting the ball a little further off the tee doesn't really change anything, if it did then he'd win every tournament he played in, if it really made a difference then you'd see every pro copying is "style" but they're just doing the same thing as they've always done. People are just salty because they can't hit it as far as he can.
@@jamiejones6696 Bryson doesn't work that way. He works on his game 1 part at a time knowing he will lose some events on the way because of it. If he wanted to just be consistent and win almost every event with the level he is on right now he probably could.... but that is not his goal. He wants to improve his peak performance beyond what other tour players have ever done. By doing that he is by definition going to change the game.
Just look at the concentration on his face after those putts, It`s Tiger like. You can see the pressure leave his face when they drop in the hole. He`s totally focused.
Man can hit straight nukes and his short game and putting is top notch. Put it all together and he's 9 shots clear, and I'm sure that'll be higher, tomorrow.

@Thomas Boughnou Agreed 150%. Just the physical characteristics...they remind me of each other. Payne was a class act...In every single aspect! There will never be another Payne
He's on record as saying that's his strategy right? Smash the ball 50m further than the others and the rough doesn't offer enough disadvantage to outweigh the benefits of being closer to the hole.
Bryson may owe this win to his fans who encouraged him to go for it in the 3rd round. He went at it again in the 4th and got 2 birdies on the 6th hole. He won by one...so do the math.

He looks exactly like Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa, Barry Bonds, Conseco and all the other baseball players who juiced. Look at their before and after pics.
