Couple comments: 1) Thanks for posting. Great racing that we'll never see again thanks to one idiot!! 2) Props to Nigel. He had 5 wins that year, 4 came on ovals. 3) Bobby Unser and Sam Posey were the best broadcasting team ever.
I seriously wish that Formula 1 would run a race or two on an 'oval' track. Indianapolis, California, Texas, Rockingham (UK), Lausitzring (Germany), Calder Park (Australia) and Motegi (Japan) are just some of the tracks they would be good @ IMO. Better racing than in Bernie's artificial rain.
Can't believe the IRL rumored to lose the Mile for next year. GET THE UNIFICATION/MERGER GOING FOR THE SAKE OF THE FANS OF THIS BELOVED SPORT TONY AND KEVIN!!!!!!
IRL is thinking about ditching the mile. That is just plain UNAMERICAN!!! They have had good crowds every year the IRL has been there, 2005 lacked a little but 2004, 2006 and 2007 all did well.
this is back in the day when they had more 26 cars at the track now be lucky if there are 17 for cart irl isnt to much better they need to get there shit toguther small fields suck
CART had their traditional post-Indy500 and now, the IRL has their traditional post-Indy-500. Why CCWS didn't renew Milwaukee, especially with a possible high car count? What a waste... KK why??

Great racing series. Before Tony George killed it.
Awesome sounds.
Good racing, good crowds, open wheel sure needed fixing Tony...
The good old days...
IMO, the Indycars need a good TV deal. Free to air, and mainstream.
