I was a Hofstra student from 1983-1987 and I have great memories of those football seasons. It is a shame that the university president was very short sighted and the board of trustees didn't see the value of having a football program. With the right marketing and a plan of action the program could have been a money maker.

My brother almost played football at Hofstra but ended up at Vermont...funny how both schools dumped football.
this might be the university I end up at, I'm a little disappointed they don't have a team anymore...i actually would've tried to walk on too
