Awesome. Wish i could post pics of my 94 2dr, i had 3in gain up front with some 33.12.5.15s that were worn measured mor like 32s but there was less than four fingers worth of room between the tires and uncut fenders. I ended up on 31s when i came up with money to purchase rubber; much better fit.

Im hearing you on 93-94. I would appreciate your take on the best value as well as cost conscious budget suspension lift build specifics on spring, pucks, shocks, front and rear for a bone stock 95 jeep grand cherokee laredo with the 42re and I-6-4.0 and 3.55 4x4. I have subscribed and been watching and learning. Thanks

Good discussion - I run 235/75/16's (29.8") on a 2" lift and the combination works well on street or trail with stock fenders. I have about 8-3/8" at the rear diff. BFG makes a 235/85/16 (31.4") KO2 that should work wonderfully on a 3-1/2" lift, as often it's not the height that causes rubbing, but the width of the tire in the XJ's narrow fender wells. Have you tried this combo?

Found a set of liberty 16 inch alloys thinking using your specs 235/75/16 on a 2 inch lift. Everyone trying to cram all this meat under these xj and I’m just trying to keep it a nice daily driver.

@@blaing3354 I use a Jeep Liberty 16x7 wheel for a spare (tire swing) - no one will steel it. Though I did go to Black Rock 16 x 7 steel wheels with chrome lug nuts for the others - cheep and they look cool. Old Man Emu makes the best 2" lift - guaranteed for 3 years, but not cheep. Unfortunately, the selection of 225/75/16 All Terrain tires is small - I went with Hankook Dynapro ATM - if I shred one on the trail, I can replace it for a little over $100 !

i run 31s on my 4in lift and its perfect,i also run fiberglass fenders up front so i never had to cut up front but i cut a little in the back, i get told all the time to get bigger tires but they never seem to understand, but oh well there is always gonna be haters

What do you have to cut in the back? I’m gonna get 31s soon

3" lift with 31x10.50 is the best cheap setup in my opinion it fit so perfect with just cut rear rear fenders

You need to address bump stops when putting on larger diameter tires.

Is that with cut fenders? I’m wanted to have a 2 inch lift with cut fenders for old school BushWhacker fender flares and 33s. It would be used for just camping and on road stuff. Bump stop the sh*t out of it? Spacers for sure!
