Hi all, Today I am sharing a Tomato Rasam recipe that is soothing and easy to make . With minimum ingredients this rasam will surprise you with it’s amazing taste. It is a palate cleanser too. I make it at least once a week. You can enjoy it with plain rice and ghee or mix some plain dal/ salted toor dal with rice and ghee and then pour this rasam generously on top, mix and enjoy. Tomato Rasam : 3 Tomato ( make small cuts on both corners to squeeze out the juice easily) 1 sprig curry leaves 2 tsp +1/2 tsp rasam powder salt to taste goose berry size tamarind soaked in 1 cup warm water or use 1.5 tsp tamarind paste handful of coriander leaves( roughly chopped/torn) To temper 1-2 tsp ghee 1 tsp mustard seeds pinch of asafoetida Important Tips: 1. Extracting the juice from tomatoes brings out extra flavour. 2. Dilute rasam depending upon the number of people you are cooking for. Adjust rasam powder and tamarind accordingly. 3. Do not over boil the rasam after adding water. Once it starts to froth, switch off. This rasam stays good for 3-4 days when kept refrigerated. Do try and share your feedback with me ! Happy Cooking!! If u don't want to see jus skip, are they begging u to see? My paatti makes 15 types of rasam n 5 types of sambar,. It's an art to create variation for the same dish

Tomato Rasam :
